- Hey everyone! just making a quick update video on my car for the few weirdos like me that are interested in these types of cars (lol) along with giving my recently obtained knowledge on common egr problems that I've had to deal with on these Toyota 2.2 5sfe engines. i have a 5 speed solara as well, 252k on it love the car
Those are EVAP codes. My 01 SE 2.2L 4cyl Solara with the 5S-FE engine had the P0401 code which was the EGR, had to replace the Vacuum Switching Valve which on the back of the intake manifold. Though I did get a P0420 and P0446 on mine just a few days ago.
How did you read the codes and identify the problems? Im in the market for one of these as my first car, and I just found your videos, they have been incredibly helpful!
