Yes, many of the Thailand channels are sugar-coating the truth and avoiding explaining all the nightmarish downfalls before and after arriving in Thailand.
Stayed at Aloft 11, for my Test & Go, floor wasn’t like that one. But one of the other room was exactly like that and they had to quarantined for 15 days. I felt the same way, wanted to get out of the hotel as fast as I could.

The best hotel 2 do you 1 night quarantine in is terminal 21,you feel like you a normal guest.🇮🇪🇹🇭👍👍

It will never be the same.
Cold eggs and toast in a paper bag. Look at how many hours in flight with a mask on. They want your foreign money, not you; that part hasn't changed. Is it really worth it? I hope you can enjoy your trip. Maybe this one won't ruin the memories from all your other times there. I wish I had done more on my visits there and taken a few more trips between when it was possible, I will probably never travel again, post-plandemic. smh

You have picked the perfect timing to go to Thailand! You said on your first video that saying all the hassle wasn't worth it.. well, I'm pretty sure you will have changed your mind once the jet lag and move to a better hotel. Keep us updated on prices of hotels as people will surely be jealous on the deals you may get on 4 or 5 star accommodation.. have fun😁

That was my experience too and the cold food but for 16 days. That was with Ibis styles.

It’ll be interesting to see what the differences are that you notice between Bangkok and Pattaya who from what I can understand are subject to the same restrictions. The authorities seem to be more strict in Pattaya.

HIX Soi 11, one of my favorites. The manager is a beauty (4 years ago) and breakfast is also a feast for the eyes. Kostritzer at the German beer house.

I feel your pain Peter about jumping through all the hoops to get out to Thailand, I did it back in August for the Phuket sandbox but it was worth it in the end.
I agree about the strain on older guys. I want to travel, but get jittery just thinking of all that planning. Love Thailand, but Mexico seems much easier now. We will wait for your vds. Thanks.

Welcome back.
Looks like a bad choice for a test@go hotel.
We arrived on the 13th December and stayed at a different hotel at Terminal 21.
Excellent service: We were picked up at the airport. Test sample was taken at the hotel. After about 6 hours we got our negative results.
Food: we could chose between 5 dinner meals and also for breakfast.
Very professional and friendly staff.
Maybe, spending some more money is worth after such a long flight.
Luck it was for just one night.

I walked through Soi Cowboy at 11pm Friday. Two weeks ago it was 100% closed. On Friday Country Road was open inside and out. Oasis restaurant was open. Baccara and Suzy Wong were open outside with about a dozen girls each. Kozy is open outside and has been for months pretending to be a restaurant. There was a pretty good crowd and a sense of normality at the places that were open but they were also surrounded by all the closed clubs.
I have just uploaded a video called "Boots on the Ground" you will see it is not dead in Bangkok.

Had 14 nights in Banglamoon Hospital all staff were IMO fantastic and I also had covid and neumonia . Lucky to still be here but Doctor's and nurse practitioners and all cleaners and administration team Fantastic.Hope you don't catch anything and use your mask's and gels. Evening Peter. I am stuck in Soi 15 waiting for my results. I arrived this morning on the 6-30. OMG all the paperwork . . I missed my connection to Cambodia, that I asked you about last week, so have bought a new ticket for tomoz night. So 190 quid wasted. This hotel is OK and staff very helpful indeed.. My air-con is also super cold, and I am doing the same as you, lol. I had a split flight, on the first leg I was close to 2 people who had not had a shower recently, very smelly. The second leg, I was beside a chap who was large enough to need 2 seats, so I was rather cramped, trying to eat sideways. Enjoy.

I recently stayed in the Novotel Pratunam for test and go we could order room service and beers during our 24hour quarantee
You were really lucky
As of today, if you haven't already booked your "test and go" you have to do min 7 days quarantine.
How rigours was the visa process to get back into Thailand? I'm going through this at the moment and there seems to be a bit to it compared to the old & simple visa on arrival.
You haven't said where you were from Matthew but from the UK you don't need to apply in advance you'll end up the app low and you get a Visa exempt stamp for one month

Hello again Peter. Something I just discovered. My test done at 9am this morning had a good result by 2pm. However, they do not tell the hotel till 8pm. Now, at 11pm, I went to reception to ask and it was there , but nobody told me, they print it out and put under your door later on. Had I not asked, I would not know till tomorrow morning !!! I could have left the hotel hours ago.
That is really bad, I would of been totally pissed!
Just look at it on a positive side. They probably wanted you to stay over night according to the 24 hr regulation.

Hey mate! I wanted to book same hotel you're staying. They charge an extra fee of 1500 bahts if you want a balcony. That's a big a rip off mate! I guess for a 1 night stay test and go it's fine...
I came really close to booking that same hotel but ended up going with the mercure right down the street instead. Hopefully it's better as it's a little more expensive and higher rated
If I could do it again I definitely book 1 with a balcony
That “food” though. That is why the windows are sealed; too many guests making a game out of what “food” bounces highest!.
Soi Cowboy is closed, except last 2, outside open servicing food.

Hi Peter, wishing you an enjoyable and safe time in Thailand. Were you able to leave your hotel to go outside and enjoy the sights of Bangkok after you got your negative result, the reason I ask is I read on a forum someone said he was not allowed to leave the hotel to go and wander around after he got his negative result unless he checked out of the hotel.
Hi Baz, what you read is bull shit, once you get you negative result you can go out and any place .
I'll wait until April next year hopefully no quarantine by then.

You can but it takes loads longer. Printed copies loads easier and better if you can get them.
Hard copy's are what they want to see.
Thais love, and I mean, love, paperwork..in duplicate, triplicate and quadruplicate. It keeps their employment rate high.

When I was telling the Paris Desk that all you need is the Thailand pass on my phone.
They told me to stand to one side
So I showed them all the paperwork
It was The Staff at Manchester airport and Paris airport that wanted the Paperwork
