Oh how all of we old-timer's do miss the days before the IPhone distractions. The relationships you could have with the girls was remarkable compared with today. And yes I said relationships. Those were actually possible back in the 90's when the girls didn't have their attention constantly bombarded with various phone bells and whistles from friends and even old boyfriends while you are trying to spend quality time with them. Remember the Long Distance Dialing (LDD?) shops in travel offices in Pattaya? At $3.00 a minute, few girls had more than just a couple of "boyfriends" living abroad, vastly different from today. Ahh those were the days, but we still find a way to adjust and persevere somehow. :) Love the videos, Peter!!

Was stationed in Thailand , 70-75 with US military. Meet my wife there and had two children before leaving. I have had two Thai women as wife’s but both have pasted away. Yes things were quite different back then. Getting back in to Thailand for 8 months in March. Love the stories. Will help me in my golden years. LOL

it just hit it...felt like i am back in the middle of bkk and / or spore... places i had spend great length of time in the past...chinatown in blk or little india in spore..( that story brought long forgoten memories back )..love both places...the sounds the smells the people the food the heat and the chilli...
i somehow agree with in the old days all was better...or is it only the old man's impression wishing back the youth ???

The second story from the Canadian was full of strange paradoxes. First he is in Singapore with the Prime Minister of Canada and several ministers ambassadors etc. Then he left and ended up at the Nana Hotel 5555. (Good breakfast) and no happy ending. Then he’s off to the Mandarin no less. Probably the best hotel in Bangkok, has been voted best in the world before. Strange indeed.

I listened to one of your stories in tv this morning about a westerner that was jumped by 8 Thai's over a bar bill. Bars are not where i go as i am diabetic and do not drink so in 13 years i have never been in a fight in Thailand. Had a couple of arguments with taxi drivers over being cut off, but neither wanted to get physical. I was jumped in England once by three blacks from Africa. They had switch blades but they lost the fight. Other than military conflicts i have rarely been in fights or jumped, at least not after high school. I spent 24 years in military as special forces and 27 years in martial arts so haven't lost a fight since high school, but rarely have been in a situation to fight. I did a lot of killing in Vietnam but no one before or since then.

Was stationed at NKP in 74, was a whole different ballgame back then.
I feel like i've already been to Pattaya, love all these videos/stories, I would love to actually go but impossible at the time, maybe some day, I found you by accident, not even thought of Thailand before- or Holidays so i dont know how you popped up, but happy as the stories are great!

@@ThailandBound Yes. Like that. Mainly business investing. To keep it interesting 90 % lose stories and from time to time a success story :-). Im sure there are interesting stories out there.

I understand and it might have not been interesting to you but it's not really for me to cut the guys story to ribbons if he's taking the time to write it. I read it out as it came to me, I would imagine if people didn't like that part they could simply skip forward. Personally I found it interesting
@@ThailandBound No. no need to explain. It was just my observation on the person making the story, you did the right thing. The other ones I found a lot more to the point. Great video as always, which I always click on the second they arrived. Keep up the great work.
I dont agree, its just some backstory and it suited the flow of the story why they changed different bars etc.

Happened to me twice,thought I got robbed and ran down upstairs elevator to find thief,no thief in pocket,missed flight and bag gone home, another 8,9 days new ticket wouldn't leave me on flight said I was after drink, not it was 7 in morning, back to pattaya again and they say give u flight tomorrow same time, that day money ran out,had enough 4 taxi,my knees were rocking go out to counter to c if they leave me on,was sat with the airhosstess got back England on to Ireland then had to figure to pay taxi ,ps all true me friend missed his flight out from Heathrow we both took or sleeping tablets I was on the plane and he was sleeping in the toilet in Heathrow
Yep it's one of the biggest mistakes anyone can make, recent their flight back home.
First story at 6:00, "first night I ever spent alone in thailand". It doesn't sound like he exactly spent the night alone.

... also the skils of Thai teachers are incredibly low. Plus pupils aew made scared to make mistakes. Very boring teaching

I hate to say I've missed 2 flights out of Bangkok, both 12:05 am, I'll never book those times for flights again, both times I thought it was on the following day because they gave the wrong date in the emails, luckily they gave the next flights free because it could prove it was their fault, you have to be careful with flights around midnight, I think the emails might be automatically sent and they can just put the wrong dates if it's close to that time
I think you're unlucky I've done lots of night time flights from Bangkok I've never had an issue

What i dont understand from all your story videos, is why in the hell would someone be so naive as to wife up a prostitute? We have an old saying here in states, cant turn a hoe into a housewife. Kinda like the saying you mention a few times. Can take the girl out the bar, but cant take the bar out the girl lol

Loneliness, depression, a feeling of rejection, a messy divorce, mental health issues, and a lack of communication skills, no self esteem, a lack of judgment and a lack of confidence; the list goes on and on. Many guys do not go into bars to find love and live happily ever after with their one in a million good bar-girl. They find that they are in the company of a pretty, young girl who showers them with affection and the girl seems to take a genuine interest in them which gives them a feeling of temporary happiness and total blindness to the real situation in front of them. The bar-girls are charming, cunning and good at what they do (They have years of practice and 100’s of victims) it is so, so easy for these kinds of guys to be sucked into a situation they did not plan and end up on a down would spiral with no hope of return. It is always easier to Judge and condemn rather than understand and not all people should be painted with the same “Stupid” brush.

Here it is often talked about, how even after a short time, a few days, 😲 he has fallen so in love with her. I have fallen in love a thousand times in my life with theirs, p _ _ _ How can I fall in love with someone I barely know, hardly know anything about her .I have had good sex with her and I go crazy with theirs, beautiful. ..... can not get enough 😃 At one point I would take a taxi from Pattaya to BKK, taxi drive, I turn around, and she was already talking to a tourist. Do not think they talked about weather 😃 Such is life, live also FU ... as long as you can .......

Sam, I could have said that he walked down the beach road, got jumped on by several lady boys and robbed but I don’t make up stories, I simply read what people send me. Re: your 7/11 story, no I would not read that out as that would be to boring.
To be honest, I think this encourages more people to write in their stories. I'm thinking of submitting one in particular now that is a bit more interesting than some of these.
