    Gotta love the common sense that exist in the country. When I asked the City of Regina to unplug my storm channel last Fall so the street wouldn't flood come Spring thaw; they said, "That program doesn't start until the Spring"🤣. Totally clueless!

      LOL Government road people aren't any smarter here in Alaska... they spent millions to put in these MASSIVE culverts you can drive a truck through thinking that would keep the beavers in check... the beavers are smarter than the people, that's for sure! Only a week or so till it's beaver trapping season. Mama's getting a big beaver blanket after this winter!

    Hint, you need a beaver grate, like a IBC tote grate gut in half and put in front of the culvert, beavers won't be able to stuff sticks in the culvert. seen this on other channels.

    People around the world wish they were able to have beavers to help keep water on their land to fill their water aquifers. The duckweed in this pond is going to make it to the river now for more pollution. Duckweed will stop oxygen in rivers and ponds.

    How about leaving 2 long ropes or chains on each side of the tire (both ends) then pull it thru to clean culvert out then pull it back thru (to the side where the tire started) leave it there for the next time you have to clean it out. Tie both ends off the ropes to something (even the culvert top itself)

    nice job cleaning out that pipe and lowering the water. I heard one of you mention that green stuff as duck weed, if it is four sided somewhat like a 4-leaf clover but smaller, more like the size of a nickel or so, that would be right, but if is a small o shape and just about the size of that a small o on the key board then it is water meal, if it gets on your boots and gets into another body of water it will multiply and if it is a pond it will cover the whole thing in a very short time depending on how large the pond happens to be. Very difficult to get rid of also. It's worse than duckweed. But tilapia love it and farmers can feed some in with their pig and it will make a hog out them, they love it, other than that if it gets in your own pond you will learn to hate it.

    Best bet to deal with beaver is to have them trapped out and then clear the culvert. Normally if u clear out a dam. They rebuild bigger and better

    Had a beaver ruin an access road by clogging a culvert, spring runoff went over the road and washed out a huge section.
    Get rid of the clog and the beaver now!

    I see stories of beavers comeback being used as a tool . Beaver dams created wetlands and supported our underground aquifers .

      Yes there are literally 10 of millions of beaver dams that are untouched...the ones that will result in a washed out main road trapping people are the ones we will worry about. Thanks for the comment.

    Yeah, these beavers have no shortage of mud and since they're with a couple, they can work so fast.. hope that this time it will unclog faster although this is faster done by shuffles and rakes, that machine can't sit there.. it will sink down like it did in that ditch it found of itself and took long to get out from.. pfiew! 😅
    Is it a whole canal that comes to that point where those Beavers had plugged it up? Did they not plug the other side too?

    If you guys come back out to Glamis please don’t throw trash in the fire these are my local dunes you guys probably ended up picking it up before you left but people see that on videos on sxsblog and yours and think it’s ok to do it also those people most likely won’t pick it up I’m part of a clean up crew that goes out to glamis with thousands of other volunteers and pic up trash to make sure our dunes stay clean and open

      Definitely, we clean up a pile of trash on our local trails as well, nothing worse. Our lot was clean as a whistle when we left Glamis but I agree it sets a bad example
