We got 15” here in my little town. Our power was out for 15 hours. The surrounding areas were without power for 48 hours. Down power lines and trees. You did a phenomenal job clearing that drain out.
As a very anxious mom and grandma, I was petrified you were going to slip down that drain!!! What a dirty, freezing, slippery task you undertook there!! Great job, hope you were able to warm up with some hot chocolate in front of a fireplace after a day like that!! Be safe and be well!! Inspirational!!
Hey man. Looooove this update and unclogging. First one of the year and best so far. Ask the land of lady to modify the drain to help you unclog. Let us know what she says. The channel on the exit end has not been opened. You were supposed to do it last year in a video. Tad disappointed. So relaxing to see the water flow. So perfect for Saturday afternoon video watch. Cheers Mate 👍 👊 💪 ❤️. (Forget your name) lol. Have a great weekend.
Have an overflow like this on one of my ponds because of beavers having a tendency to dam up the creek used to get out there and clean it by hand like you did. But we have now modified it to where I can just go pick it up with a grapple on our excavator and now all the debris and water drains out instantly.
@UpNorthMowingDude yeah we still have to get out there and pick up like all the bigger limbs and stuff that can't get down the drain but that drain is pretty big 55 gallon drum will go right down in it.
This type of drain in this type of location would have to get a lot more debris to become a problem. The water could rise another 5-10 feet without it flooding. The bottom of the grate gets clogs, the water flow slows and rises and the water goes over the clog. That is how it is designed. That being said, it was still a fantastic job of unclogging. Great job!
You are correct Rich. I can't imagine it flooding in there. Probably the only downside to water getting too high would be erosion on the shore where they don't want erosion. Ultimately it's just fun to go splash around a little bit. :)
Ha hey Neil. Actually it normally stinks bad in the summer. Nothing to churn up the water, a lot of debris at the bottom of it - major gas bubbles when I walk in it.
If you’re experiencing cold hands like that and you’re saying it’s hurting so put down the camera and put your hands in your armpits for a few minutes and bring them back before you get frostbite. I’m all for the content but don’t get frostbite for the sake of getting content.
@@megsinaus4207 okay gloves help to a degree but if your hands aren't warming up you place the mother fuckers in your armpit. This is cold weather training I've received while in the army because I was stationed in a cold place. In extreme cold with your extremities you gotta keep them warm and that means placing them on reliable warm parts of your body like your arm pits leg pits and around your core where it's always going to be warm. Your extremities in the cold get a reduced blood supply so it makes it harder for them to warm up on their own and with gloves. Thanks for playing
It was probably April 1 - Mother Nature's April Fool's joke! You need to take some young thing on as an apprentice (to drag out the big/heavy logs). Amazing result from a really arduous task! Love from a Canadian subscriber.
Hey mark. Actually there aren't any beavers in this pond. It's a neglected pond, trees all around it, fairly shallow, and we had a big wind storm and heavy snow fall earlier that week. It appears a bunch of branches came down. Either way, it made for a heck of a unclogging!
Just curious about that structure. It looks like it is quite far down in the water, but you only clear the top six inches or so. Is it a solid metal structure below the initial "grate" you can see that you are clearing?
The water doesn't have much pull at all. Plus that hole isn't as big as it looks. I'm 6'4" 240 - I'd have to work really hard to fit down that hole.....unfortunately. :)
11:24 in the video, I thought a pitchfork would work even better than that 3-prong garden rake, eh? Although that 3- or 4-prong garden tool seems to be the world-wide tool of choice for this job!😅
Contact Post10 and ask him what equipment he uses and how he sets his equipment up. Your videos are very interesting.. they would be even better and probably get more views with less movement of the camera.
I have tripods I've just always put the camera on my head when I do this lake drain. I'm going out there again in a couple minutes to do a follow up and will put the camera on a tripod. Some people like "POV", some don't. Is what it is.
the snow probably broke weak branches. awesome job! thanks. 🙏🙏👏👏👏👏
Thank you. Yeah you're probably right about that.
Good job!
Love the uncloggings!!!!
Thank you Beatrice!!
Excellent work. I bet it was cold! No issues for me with camera placement! Thank you
Thank you Janice! Looks like I made a lot of people sick with this video. Glad you weren't one of them. :)
Cool video as always. Stay safe out there.
Thank you. That was great to watch after dinner. It felt like getting rid of constipation.
Great job!
“Dam”. That was really stopped up. When your hands get that cold. Clap your hands. 👏👏👏 and they will warm up quick. 🎉🎉✌️😎

Same with some of my family. Pretty crazy. These storms are always damaging this time of year.
@@UpNorthMowingDude Very unpredictable. One day you could have snow, the next day a bunch of rain causing huge floods.
It's a great blessing to know that someone cares about the water flowing through the drains so they don't over flood
Hugo. 😅hi😊
WOW, you did a mighty fine job at clearing both sides!!!
Hell of a job. A+++++👍🏻⭐️
Great unclogging, loving the video 👏
I appreciate it!
You did a great job!
Thank you!
Really Enjoyed that! not seen a lake drain like that before! excellent!
Thank you Peter! Cheers!!
First x watching this- great job, but exhausting…This is a job for 2 people. One in front and one in the back.
Great video
Thank you!
Great job, you cleaned it up so well!
Lake drains always deliver the good stuff in uncloggings. 👌
Enjoy watching your videos, good job, keep at it,
Great video. Job well done. Watch the cold it’s dangerous take precautions. 👍👍😊
Great job 🙌🙌🙌🙌
Fantastic job!
Nice job.
Great job. Loved it
MASSIVE amount of muck and gunk!! Nice job!!
Thanks Paul. You are right - that place is like quick sand....and it stinks!!

Post 10-caliber unclogging. Nice job.

What's the purpose of the vertical corrugated metal sheet? Great job!

good job! hi from russia!
post 10 would be proud of you.
As for your cold hands...that's why God gave us armpits. The perfect hand warmers.
Big sticks come big trees !!!!
Even with all that stuff in the way there is a scary amount of water going into that drain.
Neoprene chest waders with attached, insulated boots would be warmer and safer in that cold water. And neoprene gloves. Stay warm.
Great vidoe thank you
Does it stink? Could do with "smell ovision" !!
Ha hey Neil. Actually it normally stinks bad in the summer. Nothing to churn up the water, a lot of debris at the bottom of it - major gas bubbles when I walk in it.
Somebody should def cut an opening on that other side. Seemed like it made the whole job easier having that ability
I agree!! I don't know the people who own it and it looks by all accounts they don't really care that much.
What's the purpose of the corrugated metal sheet in the middle of the drain cage?
That's a good question. I'm a visitor to the location.
Its good to find someone about an hour from where family live
que bom que tem pessoas limpas que gosta de limpeza 👍 é um bem que faz pra sociedade
This is Brockly. I made my own content channel. Drone stuff. I really enjoy these drain clearing videos.

@@TheMrDarius... Why get ugly about it? Kids watch this too. Please be cautious about words. ? M
I wanted to watch the whole thing but the head cam was too much. Turned me green
Sorry about that. I'll make it stationary next time.
A garden rake and a battery Sawzall may help in the future..
I need to bring a grinder and make it cut out on that one side so you can push debris through better
You should get a pool skimmer for jobs like this 😊😊😊

heavy snow breaks a lot of tree limbs, and they can get washed into the pond
Wet snow is heavy. Those sticks broke out of trees. That's easy to figure out. That's where they came from.
Post_10 fan here, thinking theres a beaver problem on that lake, with all those sticks in the way

No one owns this land, it is public space so No they are not in anyone’s backyard.
It is not insanity. It is life.
Just curious about that structure. It looks like it is quite far down in the water, but you only clear the top six inches or so. Is it a solid metal structure below the initial "grate" you can see that you are clearing?
It must be. The water has never been lower than the lip it's pouring over.
@@UpNorthMowingDude cool. Thanks.
Are you using insulated gloves? And why not use chest waders?
No, and I don't own a pair of chest waders.
Great job, but don't you think you should stand to the instead of in front of the gaping hole you slip and fall into?
