There is a garden tool in Germany, which is called „Sauzahn“.
Perhaps the beaver insulations could be loosened up more easily. Just one example of what the device looks like:

Get urself a chainsaw asap to cut all the trees 🌲
My 3yr old grand daughter kept saying "be safe, get on ground!!" She was afraid the fast water was going to knock you down. ❤
You are watching videos together ? :)))
@@Kenislovas she loves watching them!! She will say "culverts Oma!!" And when she knows they are clogged because of the beaver dams it's "dang it beavers, bad beavers"" 🤣🤣
Well done brother the world needs more people like you.great job thanks for sharing, stay safe while doing this and see you in your next video
A wise man has said let the flow be (work) with you. Nice work man
You are a one man wrecking crew!! Great work! I hope the beavers don't know where you live!!!
That dam was a ton of work! I'm happy to see your eyes always focused on the water/dam when you are removing sticks and branches in the beginning of your removals. Great work!
you can see how this dam is flooding the field ,If I may suggest ,a drone view would have been great to show how much water was in the field before and after so people could get a better understanding of the importance of what you do here, this was a huge amount of water you released , a Very good job indeed ,early march we have birds back from Mexico swallows and purple Martins ,Robins ,and others here in Texas
👋🏼🌻🇺🇲🙂👍🏻🦫
The Beavers have been building dams for centuries, and these dams helped some farmers to irrigate their crops
Modern men come along to destroy their home for his selfish purpose. Shameless and regardless humans.
Impressive removal! The wall of mud was really hard work to dig out. You had to both use your strength and your weight to loosen those big chunks of mud. 💪😃👍🏋️♀️
That is a substantial amount of change in the water levels. Blessings to you and your family.
Great work draining that area. Could you please allow closed caption😊
That was a big problem that you helped the farmers with to remove water from the fields. Excellent job.👍
It's been a little while since you had to tackle a dam as large as this one and was good to see all your differing skills being used. Totally awesome to watch and see how the current help you in a controlled manner, but looks like you may have to revisit yesterdays dam. Always a pleasure to watch you working. Stay Safe. 👍🇬🇧
You are welcome ;)
So nice to see you are having sunshine and the snows have gone! We still have 10" here in Upstate NY and no sign of any robins yet. But, Spring can't be too far away. Thank you for a nice video. Good job!!
You are welcome ;)
That was a lot of water, good job. And thanks for letting us know the temperature there.
I thank you and others for what you do to clear the dams
Wow, that release was huge. At first the volume didn't appear it would be that much. Well done 👏🏻.
nice job
Our spring is almost here and I have heard the morning bird chorus when the weather is mild. Michigan, USA. You do such great work! 😊
I am in Michigan as well just heard the frogs croaking for the first time this season.
Big job nicely done. Always enjoy watching your vídeos 👍🏽👍🏽
I was really looking forward to this after seeing the dam in the last culvert video! That was a lot of work. If you hadn't have cleared it, I would have thought there was a concrete wall under all that mud! It was satisfying to see that stream coming off of the fields. Happy you are having nice Spring weather there!
Another great unclogging today. Your the best, Mantas! Enjoy the weekend. See you on the next! 🇱🇹🙂👍🇺🇸
Great job!
Please be safe 🤗
I was happy to see that the culvert took the increased flow very well. Good job. From Washington state USA.
Wow Mantas, a lot of work, al huge amount of water. Well done. You over whelmed that poor little culvert. One of your best dams yet
I really liked the angle of your camera. I could see just what you were pulling away from the dam with each rake full. What you do is really hard work. Thank you for all you do.
You are welcome ;)
big job , hard work i love the sound of running water its so relaxing thanx .
Absolutely brilliant work with that shovel!! Those loud hard work and it definitely the payoff was evident. Thank you for sharing
You are welcome!
Good work u r improving
that was a lot of water. Stay safe. Good job. 👍👍
You work so hard. I enjoy your channel.
That was a good job of clearing the dam. Very well done👍!!!
I love it when your rake hooks a big chunk of mud and sticks and you can see it roll over the fall.
I live near New York City and have numerous bird feeders in my yard. I see different birds all the time. Since Spring is knocking on the door, I saw my first Robin the other day. I love feeding the birds and watching your videos. I don’t have any actual beavers in my area, but I have human beavers that clog culverts and drains with garbage litter that I always clean up after. Anyways keep up the good work.
Thank you for share :)
Today we have 37°c..it's supposed to be autumn 😮. Enjoy your weather. Nice dam job
37c... it's too hot maybe ? :) Thank you BTW ;)
Love your home made rake! Perfectly adapted!
I would take down the center of the dam and then work your way out to let the water help deconstruct it
Dude! You certainly have heart! Exposed to cold water is exhausting!!!
It's ok while I am working :)
What a difference the removal made! Great work my friend. Here in the states one of the most massive migrations is of the monarch butterfly, which flies 2,500 miles from Mexico to the eastern United States.
Foe butterflies it looks huge distance!
Nice removal! About birds: over here in Guadalajara in central Spain we have swifts, housemartins and swallows come around this time of the year. They leave back to Africa in August. The sky of the whole city is very busy all day long with swifts, and they free us from flies and mosquitos, which is an excellnt service. We love the birds!!
This one was a job, the roads a fields appreciate your hard work.👍🇺🇸
Interesting that you have birds going to Africa during Winter. Here in Canada we have the wild geese that migrate to the Southern US and Mexico during Winter, and they return to the North in great numbers when Spring comes, around April usually.
Very good core strength, i know exactly how tough that can be . good work , im impressed. Very satisfying watch 👍
WOW - a very big removal this time - nice job and thanks for this one.
Wow that was a huge release of water, well done. Big job.
Wow what a change. Love your videos.
GOOD WORK, KEEP WELL
Bob, did I see you over on Just Rolled In?
@@stanstenson8168 PROB. I SUB TO OVER 150 VID SITES...LOL...
@@bobjoncas2814 I thought that was you. 150? You watch more random stuff than I do.
I can't believe how fast Just Rolled In is growing.
it really was a big dam to remove. but you did once again a good job even if it was hard working again. it will do the fields good to drain all that water.
Well done you made such a difference, surprising what one man and some hand tools can achieve GREAT JOB 👍
That was a very old, and strong dam! There was trees growing on it! Amazing job! Thankfully those fields will drain now.👍
I’ve been watching your videos the whole week and just love them. The flowing water is really soothing. I can’t believe there is that much water constantly draining from the fields.❤
Thank you very much! Glad you like it!
the hummingbirds will be here in montana very soon they fly up to bred here and canada then leave in september, the robinscome soon also then we know spring is here , the ducks and geese will be back by june but some now stay all winter
This was a very satisfying video. Thank you for all your hard work.
Yes here in the states we have birds that fly south for the winter and then come back for summer. Usually around this time.
You are a very hard worker and the canal is much better as a result. Thank you for sharing your videos with us.
You are welcome!
That was a lot of work. Good job getting it going.
Great job - all the way from England.
That was a huge job!!! Great work to a great end.
Hey Papa, it looks warm and sunny there today. It has been grey and miserable today in Montreal. A little rain here and there, but the snow is melting away now. We have (3c) right now at 2:51 pm Friday. Happy Weekend.
Thank You Jeremy! You too!
Great videos thank you keep up the good work 😊
Yet another great job resulting in a significant improvement !!
Very good water flow. Keep up the great work brother. Look forward to getting home every day and watching. So relaxing
Enjoy your videos beyond belief! There is a tool out that is called a garden weasel...multiple prongs that may help to dig the top layer away as well as the lower layers...just a suggestion.
Thank you!
garden weasel looks not the best tool for this job in my opinion :)
Very big effort here for sure. But you probably saved that road. With that much wet soil under the road it was sure to start breaking up into a lot of holes.
Great job.
Thanks!
Great job! It looks totally different. I'm amazed at the neglect of the drainage ditches. The people there are very lucky to have someone like you doing this for free! You could make money doing this. However, I know it's your hobby and your job is being a farrier.🐎
Farrier it's not my job :) It's my cousin's job ;)
Very hard job, but you really did very well. 👍👍😊❤️
Tearing down such a large dam certainly makes excellent video. You have to keep in mind that the penned up water is not only in the canal, but also in the water table of the ground on either side. Lowering the dam in increments allows the ground water adjacent to the canal to more slowly find its way into the canal.
Great job Mantas as usual !!! You dug real deep and definitely level the ground out !!! Super work !!
I absolutely love watching your videos! Keep up the good work! Sending love from England ❤❤❤❤
You are welcome Erica!
I'm a first time viewer. You are certainly not lazy. I'm impressed with your work rate. One thing I think would be nice is when you use a drone to show how far the back up of water goes, use the drone a few days later after the water has drained off. Thank you.
I find all the information you give us really interesting! 😊 ❤ 🇬🇧
Wow, man. Great job. I just watched the first part and then this popped up. it's nice continuing. 👍
I love your videos. So relaxing to watch. Looks relaxing to do as well. Thank you!
You are welcome!
Looks like hard work to me.
very well done once again loved to watch
Good days work and another well shot video
Phew.....what a work out! I love your sweatshirt and your hat!
Cool video. Stay safe out there. Lots of water behind that one.
Looks like a great amount of rich soil being swept away down stream. Would love to see some trucked away and spread over a garden to enrich the soil
Hey bud, here in the states the geese are flying their big "V" formations back north where they will nest and breed for the summer. They are beautiful as they honk their way across the skies. The hunters will have at them in the fall. You don't look too worse for wear from the winter and are you ready for another summer of dam busting ??? Looking forward to more of your great videos !!! Take good care...
We have geese too! They just came back from South. While I am working it's quite warm :)
Love your videos! Especially when they collapse and poof gone! From USA in the upper peninsula of Michigan in a small town called Bessemer. Be safe doing this you have a beautiful wife and daughter to go home to. Take care
Thank you very much!
good work .. Peaceful to hear rushing water and watch you work
Great job again ! This was really good. Keep up this work and you'll be as strong as an ox!
Thanks!
Great job 👍👌
Great video! I really enjoy your channel.
WELL DONE!!! If beavers can read your hat it may give them incentive to KEEP YOU BUSY, BUT THEY PROBABY DON'T NEED IT. Just a thought...
I can't stop watching you videos, thank you for your good work!
You are welcome!
By far the most satisfying piece of work.
Thanks :)
need to get a watch cap that says -UNDAM IT-
Pity it’s not mink building them, so he could get a t-shirt saying “I’m mink so I dam”
I am from FLint Michigan and I really enjoy your show!
You are welcome!
Good job! That was really hard work I'm sure. This dam highlighted the need to remove these dams as the erosion was blatantly obvious. It also made clear why you need an excavator in order to remove the dam fully to make it more difficult for the beavers to rebuild and for you to be able to work more efficiently. Removing all of that dam by manual labour alone is too much to ask. Especially when you are not being paid for it.
Cheers mate!
greetings from Toronto, Canada. Love your videos.
One of our interesting migratory creatures is the Monarch Butterfly, which travels from central Mexico (Michoacan) all the way to Canada. It takes a few generations to make the journey.
Wow! many of You mentioned this. These butterflies are very popular in You country :)
Lots of water ! Your a hard worker! Nice video.
I really enjoy watching your hard work. It is very therapeutic. Thank you for filming the work you do and streaming it online.
Here on the Oregon coast in the USA, we have geese migrating every year in large numbers. We also have Swifts that spend the winter in South America and return in April; and May. We have two nesting boxes I made on our house and have hosted clutches of Swifts now for two years in a roll. Swifts pair for life, unless one dies for some reason, so we believe we had the same pair for the past two years, as they return to the same nests if they can. Last year, I was slow putting the boxes back up after taking them down to refresh over the winter. The Swifts came back and were all over out house where the boxes had been the two years before, so I had to quickly put the back up so they could move in. The first year they had three babies and last year four, which is the most they have typically each year.
In the Midwest of the U.S. we have Canadian Geese that migrate South in the Fall/Winter and come back North in the Spring/Summer. Their migratory flight path runs through my state, so we see a lot of them flying around those times of the year. We also have a lot of farm land here and the birds stop to forage for corn, wheat, and soy beans that are left on the ground after the harvest in the Fall, before their long flight South.
Thanks! good to know;)
Question: Have you heard anything back from Post 10? I'd love to see you tackle a big dam together. Of course the ones he does almost always involve working at culverts, but once in awhile he tackles a free-standing dam.
Good job in this video!
Nothing 😔
After strategically removing sticks, shovel kicks ass!
My first contact in your Country! I thought I was looking at our Midwest farmland here in the United States. You look like you have the same problem as use. Constant battle, but worth it. You did a great job. Be Safe!
Hello Charles!
@@Kenislovas Hello my friend. How are things out there? Hope you are well.
First time ever making comment on a video, enjoy your more than all others. At times could you continue to give your extra comments such as soil type, depth behind the blocking dam wall. I enjoy the drone views. I watch live safari from Africa, Djuma, and see your birds nest there which now return to your region. Keep up your good work, stay safe and maybe concider a belt on the outside of your outfit so water won't fill your wadders
You are welcome buddy!
A Very Good Video From Blue In England
Hallo zusammen das sind wirklich tolle Videos du machst eine super arbeit 🎉😊
Danke!
Mate I give you 10 out of 10 for the work you put into that 👍 cheers 🍻 buddy 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
Thank You mate!
You do such a great job! To answer the migratory bird question: one bird we have in our area, the Kirtlands Warbler, migrates from winters in Bermuda to the Jack Pine groves of northern Michigan. They’re very particular about their nesting habitat and have been on the Endangered Species List for a long time. But the numbers are climbing so there’s hope.
Thanks for comment!
