We are so glad you are here! Welcome to our channel!
1. We are in Oklahoma near the Arkansas border.
2. We do this on a volunteer basis.
3. Kim aka Mom is retired. Jennifer owns her own business as a massage therapist.
4. We film multiple locations in one day since we can’t go out all the time given Jen’s full time job. You may not see all the locations we filmed that day in one video.
5. You may see other people in our videos at times including Granny aka Sue (mom’s mom), Jeff (Kim’s husband and Jennifer’s dad), or Jessica (Jennifer’s little sister) and Lucy (our beautiful, amazing, wonderful dog).
6. Many wonder why we put stuff down culverts. A few reasons: it provides help for wildlife, we like to and it would have gone downstream anyway. If it blocks another culvert then we will take care of that too but most of the locations we visit are in incredibly rural areas where there won’t be another culvert for miles.
7. We care about wildlife and never want to cause harm to them. The only reason we will clear a beaver damn is if it is threatening land or roads that can not be accessed any other way. It may not be the road directly within sight but a farm road close by.
8. We appreciate advice in the comments. We understand that we will receive constructive criticism in the comments. What we won’t allow is the calling of names, derogatory terms, or just plain calling us stupid or idiots. We are all adults here and the internet is already a largely negative place as it is, let’s not add to it. We are people doing our best to help our neighborhood and planet by picking up trash and clearing culverts. Why do we deserve hate for that?
9. You may not agree with or like the way we did something but that doesn’t mean we did it wrong. There is a right/wrong way to dismantle a bomb. Clearing culverts is up for interpretation to the one doing the work.

It’s sad that we have to say this again but we have been getting some just awful scum of the earth people leaving nasty comments. So once again, if you call us stupid or any form of that word because you just don’t like the way we did something or remark on the way we look, You are blocked. End of.
If you don’t like our videos then move along. It is so much more work to be a rude person than it is to just move on with your life. Be better and have some decency. Trust us when we say that if you are one of those people we don’t want you as part of our community.
We are cleaning out culverts not defusing a bomb. It doesn’t have to be that serious for you to be mad about it. Get a grip on reality y’all.
Sadly, this is what happens when you post something on a public domain. You invite all the a**holes to come out from the gutters, and spew hate. Don't even give them the chance, just block them and move on. You can also report them to UA-cam. I doubt that they'd do anything about it though. @@louisetremblay5603Sad but true. The very worst are people that post comments where a fatality has occurred. My granddaughters great grandmother was 97 when she was hit by a city dump truck making an illegal turn. She was still living independently and was returning home with a cart full of groceries when she was hit. The HORRIBLE things people said without knowing ANYTHING about the person under the white sheet, not even their sex, let alone a woman almost a century old. She has several grandchildren, one the father of my granddaughters, and one was especially close to her. This happened in 2019 and the granddaughter has been away from all social media since.
These people don’t care. Most of them are not even adults.
I honestly think the most dangerous age group is around middle school. They are physically big enough to do lots of damage. I used to live diagonally across an intersection from a middle school and on another corner was a 6 foot brick wall on the corner of a fence around an apartment complex. By the end of the year, that brick wall was gone.
They are old enough that they have seen and heard some awful stuff and nothing makes them feel more powerful than using this knowledge to hurt others. Their brains are still developing and they don’t have anything approaching empathy. Thankfully, not EVERY human does that at that age. With social media, they get to feed off each other with the most insulting and hideous comments they can think of.
Just delete them and don’t give them the satisfaction of even having their existence acknowledged. Hopefully, at least some of them will mature into responsible human beings.
I LOVE the part where you said you aren’t defusing bombs. These trolls are a different kind of bomb and ignoring them defuses them.

That was quite a job, nice work. At the 16:00 mark you can see a gravel berm has formed across the stream. If you rake out a few channels in the berm, you'll be able to lower the level in the pond a lot more which will help when a storm comes by allowing the extra capacity from being drained down. Sure, the gravel channels will fill in again, but it will help in the meantime. That was definitely a beaver at the end, I wonder if mom wasn't feeling well from breathing that in. It must have been horrible smelling that. Oh, and I love the pipe idea as an added tool in the arsenal!

I don’t mind telling you Jennifer, that when you mention the temps and I saw you in that probably denim shirt, I thought you might have a heat stroke! I had a heat stroke in Florida years ago, when in August I decide to wear fashionable tight jeans…I spent a couple of days where I couldn’t get out of bed. Not fun… Please wear light breathable fabrics that are more weather appropriate. Now listen to grandma…we don’t care if you show some skin, stay safe! I'm impressed with the home made 'sink plunger' culvert clearing device. I've watched several 'dam removal' channels and never unterstood why the operators do not make some simple tools to improve their efficency and even improve the existing ones eg adding pull handles to rakes. Anyway it is good to see people using their brains for a change so well done guys 🙂

Get shovels to clear out the rocks, et al in front of the culverts; putting them near the entrances might help.
Nice work cleaning out those culverts, I did notice that what you thought was a fish looked to me like a beaver. It had a long flat tail just like a beaver, very hard to tell for certain but I believe that's what it was. The Beavers may have been trying to clog clog that culvert to damn it up.
