Samuel: there is nothing like a Lane Mid-Modern Century vintage piece. So good looking! Great job. Carol from California
Thanks so much! I agree. Lane is awesome
I have one of the same lane tables and refinished it using special walnut stain and Arm R seal. So glad you didn't paint it! Your tables came out beautiful!
That is so awesome! Thank you 🙏
The tables look great. And congrats on the profit. Paying $50.00 for a matching set of MCM end tables was a very fair and good price. Finding a matching set of anything MCM is a major score.
I was surprised to find them both as a set and in this good of condition. Thank you for the compliment
They look fantastic, like they just got out of factory😊
Thank you so much
Stain always is best!
I agree but sometimes I disagree
lovely finish! you brought new life to those tables. you are awesome ❤️
Thank you so much for the compliment
WoW amazzzzing as always bruuuutha! the Butta really did richen the shine !
Thank you so much dude. I appreciate it
I think natural wood should always and only be stained. Paint is good for lower cost pieces but the real wood needs to be showcased. These look great.
I agree but at the same time, if it’s beyond repair, paint doesn’t hurt if it means being able to save it
I'm coming to the same conclusion. I wish I had learned this before. I've got pieces that I chalk painted! Guess I've got lots of sanding to do!😮
Wonderful job restoring!
Thank you very much!
Love all your craftsmanship. It’s pleasure watching your channel 😊
Thank you very much Rosa. Always nice to see you in the comments
Great job colour matching!
Thank you! Cheers!
Stain so happy you stained very pretty
Thank you so much Luann
Beautiful! Watch Transend, she did a video on all stains, top coats, waxes, oils! Amazing out come. She prefers Odies oil. Congrats on your profit!
I love her channel. She was my original inspiration to start flipping and UA-cam. She’s the best
Lane's are great and these look amazing
I agree. Thank you so much
They look gorgeous 🙌😍.
Thank you! 😊
They turned out great 😊
Thank you 🙏
They started off dull and tired looking and you gave them some sparkle back and a richer colour, beautiful job as always Samuel.
Thank you so much Stuart. I’m glad you like them
Aw Samuel they look as good as new now. I love Lane furniture. Such a great job. Well done.
Thanks so much! Lane is an awesome furniture maker
WOW 😍 I'm a fan.
Thank you so much Rachel
Just beautiful!
Thank you!
Very nice, and a great job with the color work!
Just a quick note, try the water and iron trick before sanding out scratches and dents.
Thanks for the tip! I’ve seen it done. Just have to get the iron for my garage
Gorgeous
Samuel, these tables came out amazing. Your choice of stain was right on. You have great talent! I always look forward to your videos, keep them coming.👍
Thanks so much David. I really appreciate your kindness
So nice! 👍👌
Thank you 👍
I am glad you go over the numbers, it is informative and interesting. These tables turned out lovely.
Thank you. I try to be as transparent as possible
The tables turned out very well, good job! It occurs to me that perhaps more attention could be paid to some little visible details, but that contribute to the final quality of the work. For example, avoid stains, finger marks and excess wood stain on the inside and bottom of the furniture.
Thank you for the tips. I’ll keep that in mind moving forward
I love it when the restorer treats the bottoms backs and drawers just like the visible parts. Shows a good work ethic. I guess it’s a generational thing. I’m a boomer.
You are so fortunate to get the most beautiful pieces! Great job as always, Samuel.
Thank you very much! I do get really lucky sometimes.
I paint and refinish furniture. would not even consider painting these. They are great candidates for refreshing or stripping and refinishing. They are so classic.
Thank you. Nice to see someone else who like to do this kind of work
Very nice!!!
Thank you! Cheers!
Great restoration on those two. I am you made a nice profit on them.
Thank you so much
Beautiful!
Thank you!
Amazing what a good cleanup does for mid century furniture. They look amazing!! Great profit too!!😍😍😍😍
I totally agree! Thank you so much
Love what you have done here. The colour is just right to my eye. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you so much. I’m glad you like it
Beautiful work!
Did you just use oil based stain and water based polyurethane?
I agree with your choices for stain to match up what we’re clearly different wood species. You could also mix a custom batch in a glass jar between stains with the same base (oil w/oil, water w/water). You can control& fine tune the tint.
Then also instead of wiping leftover stain on top of the poly, add a bit of stain pigment to your finish poly as long as again using oil to oil, water to water. That gives it depth and is permanent. Experiment as you are to do it your own way. I look forward to seeing your next project.
Wow. Thank you so much for all the info. I definitely want to get better at blending. I did use water based poly over oil based stain. Once it’s dry, you can apply water based
This should not even be a question 😳😳 came out beautiful. Side note I prefer the oil base as it's so much easier to apply when you do not have a sprayer
Thank you. I’ll keep that in mind
Nice work my friend as always....I agree restoring smalls are a nice change every now and then..you're amazing 🥰👍
Thank you so much deb. I appreciate your support
@@CedarPineDesigns welcome Samuel 😊
The tables came out beautiful. Please next time PLEASE finish the underside.
Thank you for the tip
somebody bought that for $450?? like, don't get me wrong, they look great. and i learned a ton from your video, so thank you for posting! but holy crap haha
Thank you. They sure did! Quality vintage pieces
Very, very clean Sam!!! They came out great Man!! I really like the Lane furniture. Hoping all si well Bud, Dirty Jersey out!!
Thanks! You too! I appreciate you stopping by brother.
These remind me of my Remploy coffee table. Remploy was a British company & the furniture was designed to flat pack when you're not using it. Which I think is just genius as I currently have it stored under my bed. I feel like we're missing that with modern furniture. The ability to unscrew it all & take it apart when we want to. You made these tables look great
That’s so awesome. I wish this did break down a bit more. The body was still glued together but was nice I could take some of it apart
@@CedarPineDesigns I agree. These older designs are so user-friendly. Such a neat idea being able to flat pack furniture occasionally. Especially side tables & coffee tables 🙂
@@rosieHolliday5887 I agree

Have been enjoying your videos, and really appreciate the quality of your work...my only "criticism" would be the music. I find it to be a distraction, and doesn't add to my enjoyment. Just a suggestion, please keep the videos coming.
Thanks for the tips! I’ll keep that in mind for the future
Looks like you need some new work pants ;)
Nice work!
haha You're right! I have a lot that I use for work but these are my furniture pants
Nice result. The musical accompaniment for the first 2/3 was really annoying though. :)
Sorry about that. I don’t usually do music
Love these tables and the stain. Your info though is incorrect... you have " no stain" and a Behr paint mixture listed. Maybe a copy-paste error?
I try to list most of the stuff I use on all my projects
Thanks for updating!
Paint and stain
Thank you for your input
How did you sell them? Website? Local?
I sell them local on Facebook and Craigslist
What’s with the martians singing in the background?
You don’t like martians
stain
Beautiful finish. Thanks for not painting.
Thank you very much!
That music(?) ...painful.
Sorry
Stop with the background music. The music distracts from what your saying.
