You don’t ramble & we all have our own “key words” that is our ‘tell’, but that’s our ‘thing’. You have been sooooo helpful to this newbie! I thank you! God bless the mouth of babes and You!
Hi Kanella I really enjoy your paintings in teaching us. Saying so all the time is fine, when someone says you know you know you know all the time that is very annoying. So just keep saying what you’re saying because we all love you very much.
I love the fact that you don’t muck about with the backs of your paintings... I really like the messy backs as they feel a little more handmade to me. Thanks again for your awesome videos!
Very very helpful video …many thanks….varnishing has always been very stressful process for me…many a ruined painting. Will try your technique. Thank you
I just want to say that I own numerous pieces of your beautiful work and all have luscious flawless finishes. thank you so much for your attention to detail and SO much for sharing.
I have to tell you, what a life saver you are to me. I love watching your creations, have become my therapy from a life changing affect, doing this inspire me, you inspire me. I love ALL YOUR VIDEOS, beginning to end, helps me feel not so alone. Thank you for your guidance on all you do and say.
I have a bunch of varnish brands I am about to test out and also a sondiko torch which I have never used & am not familiar with torches yet & have asked a few fb paint pour groups if it is safe to torch bubbles from any brand of varnish and they said it''s not!?!?! I'm GLAD you demonstrated torching this brand of varnish to prove that you CAN do it safely! THANK YOU!
Thank you!!! Sooo many different varnishes, so any and all information is so welcomed, especially to us newbies!! I, too, say "so" alot, lol!! Anywho!!! 😂
Yeah, I started going back to your older videos as well. I was just turned onto this art form around May or June of last year. I fell in love with it and have been trying my hand at it since then. The varnish is the way I go until I can afford the resin, so I love any information I can get. Love watching you, love all the beautiful paintings you put out, and am grateful for your suggestions, techniques, and your humor. Love the pups and have watched Juno's channel as well. I appreciate you and always love watching!! Thank you for responding!! Also, since I started using your mixture ratios, my paintings are coming out better!! Thanks again!!
Thanks so much for showing this to us. I learned alot! Answered alot of questions I had about finishing our paintings! You always take time to explain so that even us newbies can understand! Thanks again! Really appreciate all you do for us!
I’m a nail polish enthusiast. Experience with nail polish has taught me that rolling a bottle will mix without adding air bubbles that shaking does. Maybe it would work with the varnish.
I’m sooooo glad I found your video, because it saved my paintings this week! I was initially using a foam brush, but then I decided to try the “tray method” with the tape around the canvas and tilting the varnish around and pouring it off the corner and for bigger canvases it gave me these little cracks!! After I watched your video and applied the varnish exactly how you did it, my next painting turned out perfectly!! Maybe the “tray method” works good for resin (I’ll watch your video for that), but I will never stray away from the “foam brush when varnishing” path again! Thank you!! 🥰
SO, I hadn't really noticed until Lucas pointed it out SO of course the OCD in me had to go back and listen again! UGH! SO, I think I may have missed a few but I counted 69 times! LOL!!! Too funny! SO who cares if you say SO, as long as you're doing what ya love and teaching us along the way?! SO yeah, we all have our little quirks. SO Thanks for the info, as always. :)
Thank you for sharing. This is a help. I have done this before, but the reminder is so helpful. You say "so," quite a bit, but it doesn't take away from your presentation. You are a wonderful artist. You share and teach, this is a blessing. We are grateful. Blessings to you and yours. Huggles always 👩🎨💖🇺🇸🍀🌻🌞
Wow Lucas kept count of have many times you said soooooo lol. I love it. Thanks for the information on how to varnish a painting and what brand you use. Very helpful!
Thank you! Really useful information. The canvasses at the end? They’re all stunning, but the metallic green one, oh my goodness! I actually gasped! Honestly!! It is sooooooo beautiful, truly! By the way, we all have our own little foibles, and your Canadian accent is cute. Never apologise Kinella, it’s what makes you unique. Many thanks to you for this video. 🙏🙏😊
Thanks Kanella! I’ve had some issues with varnishing and I’ve watched quite a few videos to improve on this but I have to say watching yours is what finally makes it click for me! You explain things so clearly and in detail and I just love watching you create! 😁
#130 that painting is amazing it is beautiful the colors in there I want to make one so bad and I don't know what I'm doing wrong I wish I could figure it not sure if I put too much paint on the canvas
Hi!!! I searched through your videos to see if you did a video of the making of the green and Bronze painting you varnished second and I couldn't see it. It's absolutely beautiful....did you do a video of it and I am missing it? or no? if yes, what number video was it? Thanks in advance!
Hi Kanella… I know your in the process of moving but I had a question if you have time. The painting canvas that sweet Lucas handed to you was GORGEOUS!!!! You said it was using Sheeleart (??) … I wondered if you have a video of that beauty and do you recommend the SheleArt coarse would I learn how to do that canvas??. Kanella I love Dutch pours and I know your videos by heart.. I know video #63 is awesome I refer it to everyone asking about mixing paints. Anyway, I hope your family and you have many great new adventures and memories in your new home. Thank you for all you do for us. God Bless 😍😍
Unfortunately I don’t know if there’s a video. I can’t really remember what I did over two years ago lol. Sorry. As for the Shelee class - it’s entirely up to you. But there are soooooo many artists on UA-cam now who share that information for free. I have a video with the entire bloom recipe as well. Video 131.
Hi! First timer here and enjoyed this very helpful video! One question, how long once you have completed varnishing can you store it, hang it or sell it? Thanks again for a great video😊
Thank you for the great tutorial, varnish has been a struggle. Do you have a video on the second piece shown? I'm interested in the colors used and technique on the bloom, I am sheley member.
Thanks sooo much, I used spray varnish and it was a disaster, smells terrible, has to be done outside. I used Matt spray varnish and it changed the black on the canvas, destroyed the piece ..so glad to have you to teach us. Thanks for
Thank you very much for this video. I was very helpful. I should have watched the video before I varnished my piece!! Oh well -- learning is a big part of the process.
What about resin on larger canvas? Won’t it puddle in the middle? Would you add something to the back then for strength. Loved both, but wow, that green one was amazing with the sparkle!
I agree with you that the back of a painting is part of the art! That’s where you see the paint drips and the handprints of the artist that made the painting!
So..................great video. So, you gave a lot of helpful tips. So, I may one day get around to doing resin and it all will help. I can even tell people when they aren't doing it right!!! Bwahaha Tell Lucas he did a great job being your helper. :) xxx 💖💖💖
I’m so happy you did this video. I use the same varnish, I love it. I haven’t been using a foam brush because I found it left bubbles. It never occurred to me that I could torch to get rid of them! Thanks a bunch!
Thanks for this, I've started varnishing my pieces and it's helpful to see how you do it. I also say so (and ummm) all the time in my videos, it's hopeless.
Hi Kanella I just started pouring and enjoying it very much just varnished my first two pieces and my varnish dried like cracked glass HELP! Why would it do that? I've learned so much from you thank you for sharing your incredible talent!
Go Team Lucas!! This information was awesome. I really appreciate you telling us about finishing the backs. Has always been something I worry about. If Lucas every wants to rent out his services as an assistant, send him on down to Arizona. LOL
Thank you Kanella! Great video, and you just cracked me up with your "so's"!! lololol You're "so" real!!
You don’t ramble & we all have our own “key words” that is our ‘tell’, but that’s our ‘thing’. You have been sooooo helpful to this newbie! I thank you! God bless the mouth of babes and You!
The small painting with resin on it reminds me of a beautiful Opal. I do love your videos.
You give the best descriptions on your tutorials!
Hi Kanella I really enjoy your paintings in teaching us. Saying so all the time is fine, when someone says you know you know you know all the time that is very annoying. So just keep saying what you’re saying because we all love you very much.
