Great video like always..... I get some great ideas from you and Tammy.... all videos need at least 1 blooper like your blue oopsy. If we can't laugh at ourselves who can we laugh at at.... I'd like to see a Dutch pour with the 4 colors you did your drip test in.... bet it would look good.
Fantastic video! Thank you so much for the details and all the time and effort you put forth I'm putting this together! I have 1 question: once the paints are mixed in the bottles, what's their shelf life? I have some that are coming up on 2 years in the bottle. Would those still be ok to use?
I just wanted to thank you for including the approximate amount of water, yours is the only video that has given a approximate weight it made so much easier😃
I really needed this!!! i struggle with paint consitency. But, I can do a ring pour and flip cups no problem. I tried 2 dutch pours and went back to the basics!!! the left side of the painting turned out fantastic, but the right side was a sloppy mess!!! i have your blow dryer, the drew berry more one i got on sale at walmart, plus i got a discount cause my son works there. Rewatched, thank goodness I did, paint mixing weekend with new paints. I would be lost without this video. Thank you, Kanella, for being the best teacher ever!
What a great video! You do absolutely the BEST instructional videos of any that I have seen. They are straightforward, neat and very informative. Plus it feels like "my friend" is talking to me. Thank you so much!!

This video covered all my questions and concerns. It was definitely well made and delivered and I will rewatch again. Thank you for sharing so much incredible knowledge with us beginners.
Kanella it would be great to create a text/pdf file, with your logo. A PDF of your mixes as a quick reference. would help the customer/subscriber experience! Much love MJ
Thank you, you have no idea how long far and wide I have searched for this tutorial. I’m in Australia and I can get most of the items you mentioned. I have saved or downloaded your videos. ❤ thanks again Kanella you’re a gem.
You are the best Instructor with so much information. Thank you so much for the time you spent creating these videos for us. Hello from Western Australia 🇦🇺 😀
Thank you so much. I'm differently a beginner. You have answered a lot of questions. I have been looking at videos for a long time. I have a great interest in starting this new adventure. I will be looking at your other videos to learn even more. Thanks again.
Kanella, you knocked it out of the park again. Thank you so much for updating the info on how you mix your paints. This will help a lot of us to use less paint and not have to buy it over and over before we should have to.
Kanella…What a great demonstration!. You made everything so clear and easy to understand. Thanks for all the time and prep you put into the video. Great Great Job.
I've watched this for a 2nd time. This time taking notes. Thank you so much. Your tutorial is so informative and helpful. I just bought a bunch of Amsterdam paints so can't wait to mix them for a dutch pour. Thank you again.
Super helpful. Thank you for taking the time to do this. I really appreciate your dedication to teaching us. You’re a great inspiration to all of us learning!
Thank you Kanella, for all your knowledge, teaching how to mix the paint. I have followed your recipe for about two years now and I will keep following your recipes thank you ! Take a rest! 🧘🏼♀️👍👏🧋
I had this saved to watch. My daughter wants to learn how to do this and I said not until I watch this for better ratios on mixing the paints with Flotrol and water. Thank you for putting this out there. I have purchased some paints from Micheals, my go-to normally is Hobby Lobby and I like the discounts they off usually once a month on their paints. Arteza is the one I usually get.
Loved this video - really useful even though viewing in UK two years after you made it. Am dog sitting at friend’s house next week so will take supply of paint, Owatrol, and distilled water (our tap water is too hard) to fill the plastic squeezy bottles I bought from Amazon using your method. Usually work in fluid oz but will follow your measurements in grams religiously! Then I will be able to create the lovely even lines rather than blobby ones.
Very kind of you to share this information. Thank you. BTW- If you ever wanted to clean your extra oxide black bottle, a cheap set of fish aquarium brushes works. Set looks like miniature bottle scrubbers. Can be found in most pet stores, usually comes with 3 sizes, including one small enough to clean the lid. 🤗💜
This is so helpful! My favorite tip from the whole video is the part about placing the checkmark on your stock bottle of paint so you know you already made a Lolivefe of that color!! I've definitely made that mistake and then suddenly had two bottles of that color haha
Thank you again for the video. I have checked this and others as a resource many different times. I usually make notes but sometimes after i take a few month break i need to watch again. Thank you again!!❤
Thank you for the updated mixing video. Video 63 deserves a rest! I hated trying to get the paint in my small bottles when mixing, I started using a syringe to transfer. They clean easily. Thank you also for the time and effort you put in to help others!
Thanks Kanella for the update! I started with your ratio and tweaked it to what works for me, on the Liqutex Basics type brands. I have notes on what I changed and why so with the new ratios I should be able to mix the higher pigment paints correctly. I have so many project notes from ideas/color palettes from your videos. I really appreciate that you share and teach your process. ♥️🙂
Hi kanella , I missed this great video ...;thank you so much to give all these helpful instructions . I still was using video 63 , even for Arteza and Amsterdam .....I wrote everything 😉 I usually take paper to verify if each paint has the same consistency . You are a fantastic teacher !💝
Thank you from New Zealand. So much easier with a recipe and THEN u did a video on the different floetrols!!! When I discovered I could get American floetrol here it was a Game changer!!❤your work & videos. Big fan
Thank you Kanella, for all your knowledge, teaching us the right mixture for painting. I followed your painting for the last two years and I will keep following you for as long as you keep doing videos thank you! 👍❤️👏
I love that you put the PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO disclaimer in, often people watch or skim a longer video with out taking into consideration the work you put into thinking" if I had a question what would i ask myself" Or ask questions along the viewing when it's later to be discussed. Thank you for this video, i can't even imagine how long you prepared yourself to film it all.
I want to thank you so much for making this video. Totally helps a newbie like me with a starting point. Wonderful tips besides the mixing. Thank You Kanella ❤️
I'm in Regina and our local Home Hardware now carries Floetrel, canvases, paint, paint pens, resin supplies, and an awesome selection of spray paints. Thanks so much for the explanation of mixing paint! Your explanation is very easy to follow!
Thank You so much for getting back to me so quickly! Love you and your family and Dogs so much! Have you ever thought of a underground fencing for your dogs? My sister has a big yard around a lake. They have a rule about fencing so you can’t see it! I know it’s a shock, and they control for each dog while the collar is on. They come inside, you take the collar off. They learn their bounds pretty quickly! Not that I’ve ever used that, but it seems to work well for them.
Thank-you so much Kanella!!! I wrote everything down. You are such a giving and caring person. I never miss your you tube videos.I have learned so much.🤗You are the best!!!
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge with us. I am a beginner and have not painted a single thing yet. I’m trying to gather the materials needed and the knowledge before attempting anything. After watching your videos I believe I definitely need to find less powerful dryer than what I have or I will end up with a mess.
Kanella: Thank you, thank you, thank you. This has been so helpful and I appreciate you taking the time to do this. Love your work and even by following everything on this video, I know my paintings won't come out as beautiful as yours. You're the best. Thank you❤️
Thank you for your time Kanella, That was a an amazing video, The best in paint mixing tutorial, I live in Canada Ontario, and i get my products from Michaels. I have wasted so much paint without the proper ratios. I will stick to this. ❤❤
Thank you so much for taking the time to update and make a new video. We really do appreciate how thorough and how much you teach us. I have many of those brands, so this will be very helpful considering I was using your original formula for all the paints, just checking consistency before painting. ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks again for the very informative video Kanella. You have made it easy to understand just how to get the great pours and gorgeous paintings that you do. 👌
oh my gosh!1! you made this so much more easy than the scores of videos i have watched! i am stoked to get painting now, where before i was only intimidated. im excited to have a first bloom pour finally work. i have done many other techniques and feel confident with them but i never felt good about a bloom pour. thank you so much my canadian friend!!! you will be my go to for it all.......
You’re welcome. However this is not a ‘bloom’ pour. This is for the blow out/dutch pour technique. The bloom technique is something totally different 😊
Bravo... and thank you, organised as usual. You can clean with pure acetone the bottles or pure alcohol, but have a chain inside it. Also check on a old bottle that the acetone is not damaging the shiny part of the plastic, as you can dilute it with water -) to preserve the look of your bottles...
Thank you so so much, Kanella! You are absolutely amazing and I love watching your work. I think I've seen this video about 3 times to make sure nothing was omitted 😂. Would love to attend one of your events. Hope you guys consider coming to the DC/Northern Virginia area soon!
thank you so much. This video is super, super informative. You did a great job. I took so many notes, I really appreciate the time you took to to do this . God bless you and your entire family.
Brilliant video tutorial, especially for a novice who intends to give this type of artwork a go. Saw your amazing videos on Tiktok also - your work is fantastic.
thank you very much everything is clear. so the more the paint is of good quality and is rich in pigments the more the medium is used because it will not alter the color
Thank you sooo much! It's going to help me kick start what I have planned. I appreciate and admire your work and time doing this for us, thank you 🙏🏻☺.
Thank you for the time that you took to make this video. The information was helpful and useful. As a fellow Canadian, I really appreciate having you speak about brands that are available here and places that we can get them. Thank you.
I watched this twice. and found it so full of information. I forgot some of the info. but am now refreshed and ready to go onto another batch. Thanks again
Despite being successful with dutch pours at this moment of time, this tutorial its one of the best I have ever watched regarding this technique. It's extremely helpful, clean, and informative. Why it is the best? Because you use scales to measure, which helps starters to be more accurate to try, instead of guessing, especially that everything it's so expensive, at list in the UK. I had to stopped using the EU/UK floetrol, as it was ruining everything at a very expensive rate, and I use Flood USA for the last 1 year with success. My success is down to you when you compared the 3 floetrols on the market, as I was just a beginner at the time, and I was struggling big time, confused, disappointed, and then BINGO your video about the floetrol, and I wake up. So thank you koukla, matia mou! Now I am learning swipe technique, and I am getting better at that, but I am to picky -) and main mistake is to practice on huge canvases llalalal Large canvases works for Dutch p to practice, but not good for swipes to start with... Thank you once again!
I know l gave you a bit of hard time, but l wanted the best from you, and you delivered. I am half Greek too, but l lived in Greece, and Cyprus for 7 years. Lots of love koukla, l enjoy watching your videos, and Tammy's too.
Thanks for sharing all your information it I really helpful. Is that not Love Life bottles? 😕 ha ha sorry I bet lots of people have said the same. I enjoyed watching and have learned so much thank you 🙏
Thank you. great video. I was on another site-adding gtts of min-wax pre-stain to get the floetrol to act like Australian floetrol. I looked at another site by accident and the guy was using Min-Wax One Coat polyurethane as medium(25%). The cells were very interesting and unpredictable. I made my own ink the other day using gourache paint (which is water colors)/gum arabic/water/alcohol. The gum arabic is a binder (less bleeding on canvas/can't remove ink once it is dried). 24 colors for 32 dollars. Great inexpensive ink. Use coffee filter to strain. Fooled around with acrylic paint abstract (use a squeegie) and sprayed a few ink colors to heighten colors. Very pretty. Ink held up and it didn't bleed into the paint!
This is very timely Kanella. When I do a lot of painting I get cocky because I know the consistencies, but every so often I have to get back on track with measuring especially with different brands and sometimes different colours in the same lines or different techniques. As always your instruction are clear and helpful. Thanks girl!
Kanella, the time you spend in such detail is so giving and specific, helpful and answered all questions!! Thank you so very much! Oh! Love every painting episode! Just need you to come organize my life!! That is what it takes and you do it to perfection!! Everything in its place! Bravo!! I'm a mess! Time to clean up my act in so many ways!
I have never thought to test the running on my paints like this. That is actually quit genius. I pour painted for years and then life got to be life so I’m getting back into it. And although I remember the basics I’m refreshing my memory and I’m always down to learn or learn new tips and tricks. Appreciate this.
I have a few of those deture brushes and those long tooth brushes that has a little brush on one end and a normal one on the other end and I have duck taped a toothbrush to a ruler and used it that way before to clean my bottles out!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, I am doing the Wave and thanking you. Wow, that is a lot of explaining but you covered it all. I took so many notes and will try again to do Dutch pours like you do them. This was so needed by those who are trying to achieve something they can display in their own homes or give as gifts. I started doing art because I noticed it distracted me from chronic back pain. You are very encouraging and love your paintings. I am in awe of how neat you are, you even keep your watch on. Me yesterday… the top on my pink mixed paint was not on tight and when I lifted it it slipped of my hand… it opened and spilled all over my pants and work area. I already ruined a kitchen scale when one of the Floetrol bottles (not a LoloVife) popped when I squeezed Floetrol out of it. What a mess and I had to purchase another kitchen scale. Watching you work and your good habits give me hope… 🤣.
This is the BEST video I’ve watched and I’ve learned so much. Words can’t express how I appreciate all you do. I’m going to start painting today . If you were here I’d give you a big hug 🥰
Hello, Hello my Canadian compatriote ! I'm from Brampton, ON and I have only watched videos on Pour Painting so far. I'm getting my supplies now and try to avoid wasting $$$. Your video is the first I watch by you and I am thoroughly impressed !!! I am very artistic and have done copper enameling, pottery, wreaths with vines, and still sew and garden. Can't wait to view your videos with very good vibes. Gisele
This is the most helpful video ever! I have tried Dutch Pours at least 8 time without success. Your ratios really work, and it showed me what the consistency should be. I will go to your Amazon shop to buy the labeler. Thank you so very much.
I hope you all find this video helpful and it helps you do amazing Dutch pours!

This was just what I needed. I’m doing my first pours in 2 days.
Merci à l'infini pour ce vidéo tellement instructif!!! Je n'ai rien trouvé de tel encore alors je vous adopte!! Gratitude Chantal xx 🤩🤩🤩
Excellent, thank you for your very detailed explanation, time and effort you put into your videos xx
Brilliant video tutorial, especially for a novice who intends to give this type of artwork a go. Saw your amazing videos on Tiktok also - your work is fantastic.
Thank you so much 😀
Thank you so much for your time and expertise I noted everything much appreciated I am in Canada also
thank you very much everything is clear. so the more the paint is of good quality and is rich in pigments the more the medium is used because it will not alter the color
Thank you sooo much! It's going to help me kick start what I have planned. I appreciate and admire your work and time doing this for us, thank you 🙏🏻☺.
Perfetto , grazie per aver condiviso con noi la preparazione dei colori ! Grazie per la tua gentilezza e generosità! Ti voglio bene ❤
Thank you!!! I have been waiting for this update!😃💞
Thank you for taking the time out to redue the mixtures of different consistency of paint
Thank you for this video and the time and effort you put into it. It is appreciated. xxx
Thank you for sharing this. A lot of people don't understand that different brands and types of paints will use different formulas for techniques.
Thank you for the time that you took to make this video. The information was helpful and useful. As a fellow Canadian, I really appreciate having you speak about brands that are available here and places that we can get them. Thank you.
You’re welcome ☺️
I watched this twice. and found it so full of information. I forgot some of the info. but am now refreshed and ready to go onto another batch. Thanks again
Helpful and appreciated. Thank you
Thank you Kanella for taking the time to show us all.
Awesome!! Needed this!! Your amazing! Thank you!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you 😊 I refer to this a million times and I really appreciate it
Thank you so much learned a lot.
So happy to read this comment. And happier to see the Greek! 😉
I enjoyed watching and have learned so much thank you 🙏
Hahaha yes lots of ppl have said that but that’s not what they’re called. Lol
Thank you. great video.
Thank You so much for making such a helpful video. The only thing I do not think you covered was what you mix for your base coat. Tia
Base coat is the same as the colours

You’re welcome ☺️
Hello, Hello my Canadian compatriote ! I'm from Brampton, ON and I have only watched videos on Pour Painting so far. I'm getting my supplies now and try to avoid wasting $$$. Your video is the first I watch by you and I am thoroughly impressed !!! I am very artistic and have done copper enameling, pottery, wreaths with vines, and still sew and garden. Can't wait to view your videos with very good vibes. Gisele
Thank you and welcome to my channel! 😊
Wonderful learning video. You leave no questions; all has been answered. Thank You Very Much!
Happy to hear it.
This is the most helpful video ever! I have tried Dutch Pours at least 8 time without success. Your ratios really work, and it showed me what the consistency should be. I will go to your Amazon shop to buy the labeler. Thank you so very much.
