- The plaintiff says the defendant filed false accusations against her and it put her job in jeopardy. She says you can’t just go around making things up, so she’s suing the defendant for $5,000. The defendant says she and the plaintiff grew up together. She alleges the plaintiff is harassing her and making her life miserable, so she’s countersuing for $8,000.

Problem with arbitration like these tv shows is if they actually make a decision like you say judge Mathias does, and not based on law, is you can't get anything appealed.
Judges should be making judgements based on law not feelings or demeanors of plaintiffs and defendants, although it does make a difference.
I feel bad for the son, he's clearly running away from them. If they act like that in court, imagine them at home.

Many teenage boys run away and it has nothing to do with the parenting...boys will run to an environment where they are allowed to do what they want to do.
I agree, I hope the son is able to get away from all that toxicity and just be a kid for once, all children deserve a childhood free of adult drama and sadly many don’t get a true childhood

This almost tops the one where the daughter ran away and the boyfriends family habored her in their house in the midst of state wide manhunts for her. The dad was a mental health counselor.

When the defendant is just happy to be vindicated. She wasn’t even upset about not being granted the money she counter sued for. She just wanted someone to see the plaintiffs for who they were

That mother-daughter duo is a NIGHTMARE. They're the ones that need to be investigated. Favorably resolved? These women are literally trying to destroy that woman’s life. They placed false allegations on that woman about sex w/a minor & child molestation. They are highly disturbed & need to seek help. That boy is running away for a REASON. Focus on that part.

I got my life when JM told the plaintiff she can dish it out but can't take it. The plaintiff and her witness are awful people.
She need to go home and sue the mother...just to show her that it's not okay to abuse the system or bully someone by filing false allegations of sexual abuse. They need to be taught a lesson.
Unfortunately I actually have women in my family who do this kind of sh*t, it's pettiness, and vindictiveness. I wish people like this were rare.

The nerve of the plaintiffs to bring this case against the defendant knowing all the dirt they've thrown. What a mess. Teenagers are not easy to handle. It can be a confusing time in their lives where they believe they know what's best for themselves. This chaos certainly doesn't help.
That’s insane after all of that, the defendant wasn’t awarded the counter claim. Those people should be held accountable and punished for their bs.

One thing about Judge Marilyn is that she listens well and pays attention even better... That's an extreme rare quality,and that's why she's my favorite.

Although she didn’t win her counterclaim in the traditional sense, you know that defendant was MORE THAN OKAY with the way the case ended because the world got to see exactly what she’s been dealing with and it’s more gratifying simply because once something is on the internet it’s there forever and you can’t take it back.

Whew!!!! This was messy messy! I would do everything in my power to get as far away from those people as possible. With the way life is now this situation can escalate to a point of no return. What nasty vile people they were. Even if we don’t have the full truth, the way they behaved spoke volumes.
Yes, it is true funds are available for relocation. I went through a five year process with someone stalking me, multiple court cases, him being incarcerated a few times. I was offered relocation fees but chose to stay. I ended up moving eventually because he would not stop.

More people would be willing to do jury duty if we were compensated for time missed at work. A lot of people are living paycheck to paycheck and can't afford that time off.

I was a troubled teen. My mother was a drug addict and my life was hell. I was in trouble a lot. My point with this is, I wonder what that kids home life is like to be acting out like this. You lie to survive and to have a break from the your crappy life. You don’t understand all the people that you’re getting caught up in it. It’s not done with malice. Funny, when I went to live with my dad I didn’t act out anymore.

You could see the defendant start to tear up when the judge said she should just allow the child to go into the system. She cares more about the child than the mother who doesn’t even have custody. The grandmother is supposed to have care of the child but is leaving him on her brother. The mother-daughter duo are nuts! I’d be more accepting of jury duty if I was paid adequately for my time. To take unpaid time off work for possibly multiple days/weeks is unreasonable. It’s $15 a day where I live which is just absolutely inexcusable.
I think it got messy when she started to date the brothers and some see that as "messing with family" because of the dynamics. Then when the son went there it was automatic attack mode. After the first time I would have told him don't bring him back and took him to the uncle if he showed up to play no part in it.
The sister( the plaintiff) needs to mind her business.. She has a whole son she doesn't have custody of and she is worried about her brother's business

I say this with love. Getting married does not solve mental illness, cheating, financial issues, or bad people. Its really morals and wisdom. This case was not about a couple, so are you insinuating they werent married or in loving relationships whjudge. Childrn were born. And even if they weren't, sometimes things don't work out.
