- The plaintiff was friends with the defendant and says that even though the defendant is gay, she thinks the defendant is attracted to her. The plaintiff loaned the defendant for a trip to Las Vegas, but he never paid her back. She’s suing for an unpaid loan. The defendant argues he and his husband were the first Black couple to get married in Illinois and advocated for marriage equality. He denies owing the plaintiff and says the money to Vegas was a gift.
