Who do you think could beat Dale Jr’s 2004 Speedweeks performance?
I dont see why chase couldnt do it this year

The Tony & Dale Jr. partnership..iconic. Shame Stewart never got a 500
I was pissed when Dale Jr. took that 500 win from Tony.
Jr sidedrafting before it even had a name
Race rigging goes by many names, most notably Cheating!
2004: *exist*
Daytona: *also exist*
Dale Jr: *All I do is win win win no matter what!*
Pepsi 400: nooooo I don't think so!
Let's also remember that Dale Jr's team was about to win the 2004 Rolex 24, before, with 18 minutes to go, something broke in the car, WHILE LEADING, causing it to crash.
If the car didn't break and he won the Bud Shootout. Those Speedweeks would've been LEGENDARY!
The super speedways will always be known as the Earnhardt’s house.
Hence, the reason why NASCAR fixed the races for The Earnhardts.

Hey Iceberg, Just wanna say I'm a very new fan to Nascar and have been watching a lot of your vids over the last couple months and they've really helped me learn more about the history and future of Nascar. Now I'm really excited to watch my first full season of nascar and follow drivers closely. Keep up the great work!

It was odd how spread out the cars got at Daytona from 2004-2006. The track was so beat up, drivers had to focus more on the cars' handling than staying in the draft.
Interesting thing I was told by a friend of Eury Sr.
Notice how when Tony passed Jr, jr got a hell of a run and basically drove out of Tony's life and never looked back? Jr switched to his 2nd ignition box, which had more agressive timing numbers and slightly higher rev limiter in it. Clearly he left it on that box till the race was over.
Always thought that was pretty cool.
More proof of race-fixing for Jr.
u must not know anything about engines they all can do it they have 2 ignition boxes@@douglasbuck2359
I love the ways those cars sounded back then.
Those cars were so cool!!
I wish nascar still had long speedweeks, it builds the hype up
Jr almost won the Rolex 24 too I think in 2004
Pretty sure Jr is the only driver to win the Daytona 500 while also leading the Busch race at Daytona
It's still speedweeks this year. This week the clash road course, qualifying, duels, 500, next week road course, following week homestead. While the last being a different track it's still Florida none the less. Include the Rolex last week and the trucks and Xfinity, it's like Speed Month.
2004 season was nascars peak imo, dale jr and gordon had the most fans and they dominated that year, todays most dominant drivers arent even likeable
Peak of Dale Jr. Race fixing too
I will forever miss the true speedweeks.
That was great !!! Thanks for the memories !! Jr will remain the sweeper of speed weeks. Yahooo
Congratulations on 30 thousands Subs Dude. Well deserved. 👍👍👍
Came extremely close to sweeping Speedweeks. Barely finished behind Dale Jarrett in the Bud Shootout.
Thank god he didn’t
When it comes to success on Superspeedways The Apple doesn't fall far from the tree in the Earnhardt family
Sure wished the red 8 glory years could lasted a bit longer, or that Jr had better luck when he moved to Hendrick.
Yesss, been waiting for this one!!
Seeing these older race clips, all the finishes felt so badass. NASCAR doesn't have the same badass feeling. Maybe this year we will hopefully with a new clash and so many changes going on with the drivers.
Good stuff ! I hope its never beat.🤘🏻🏁
That side draft on Stewart was nasty.
The sound of these cars going by. Thats what we need in today's broadcast
Anyone else miss the glorious SB2 sound?
Not really
Hot take:
If that Daytona 500 finish happened today, people would hate it.
Even with Jr winning, they’d flip out about how no one could pass, and the field was too strung out.
Y’all know it’s true.
It was good racing
Wouldn't happen today with stage racing they wouldn't have got the long green flag runs because every 50 laps theres a caution now
@@hutrod7721 Technically, it could go 80 straight green to the finish even with stages.
There was an Xfinity Daytona race a few years ago that went the last 30 laps entirely single file and everyone went nuts over how bad it was.
Exactly. People are never satisfied and will always complain, no matter what, except when it comes to nostalgia.
That race was awesome.
I was at the 2004 shootout in the infield in turn 3 I was really disappointed he didnt get the win that night but I knew he was gonna win the 500
You’re so close to 30k subs 👀
Congrats on 30k subscribers
2014 denny was great also. 1st in the shootout, 1st in duels and 2 in the 500.
Dale Jr. also won the shootout and duels in 2008, but finished 10th in the 500. Kevin Harvick won the shootout and duels in 2013 but wrecked early in the Daytona 500
Wait.. so he says “shit” in the Bush race interview and didn’t get fined but does later that season at dega?
Ain't that some shit.
I'm really liking the livery on the new #8. I might have found a new favorite driver...finally
*s1apsh0es has entered the chat*
There will be many more great drivers in NASCAR. There will be many more winners and Champions, but there will never be another Dale Jr.
When I was younger I was getting tired of seeing Dale Jr win yet I glad to see Jeff Gordon win the 500 one year later and broke up the DEI dominance. Wasn't a big Dale fan. 😅
This and Denny Hamlin’s 2014 Speedweeks were probably the closest anyone has come to the Daytona triple. PERIOD.
Denny didn't win the xfinity race tho, so he only won 2 out of the 4 like 23 other drivers
@@jmdewyse I don’t know why I thought Denny got so much closer, but I wasn’t really looking at the Busch race when I said that. But you’re right, a lot of other drivers won 2 out of the 3. But he came so close and I think one more lap would’ve sealed the deal for Denny
I think chase Elliott has a decent chance at completing the triple this year, but with how crazy the superspeedway package is anything can happen
Idk I think his chances gotta be lower because he might get a front row start and just not care about winning the qualifier race.
Sr and Jr domination...Dayton and Talladega.
For one thing this video does show 'berg Tony Stewart was the mac daddy 2 LOL
All Racing today is done in the Garage and they were best funded Team The driver's just hit their marks
Man i was so pissed off when Dale Jr. took that 500 win from Tony in 04.
Your just saying it because jr is your favorite driver
There is only one way to beat the black intimidator and the 15 time fan favorite driver Somebody has to win all four. Because right now they are the only ones that have the Triple Crown
Who else is watching the video to find out why Dale Jr’s 2004 speedweeks was the best ever?
No, I was just watching to read the description
No I just watched 2009 Coca Cola 600 the shorter version.
I'm watching because it's The Iceberg and it's always quality content
I'm just watching to remember how blatant it was that Brian France was rigging these races for Jr.
Nascar going to Daytona
Dale Jr: Don’t hold my beer
Don't hold my Bud neither my Oreo
More like let me hold your beer and still finish better then you
With the clash at The Rc this year and the duals being divided up as usual I think the 2020 Champion Chase Elliott will do it
He can’t win it now. He almost got the Clash but nope
@@d.n.m323 well no shit I said that before any of it happened I was predicting not saying oh if he doesn't do this hell do this No
Who needs the draft when you’ve got that much power?! Reminds me of the Busch car he had one year, drove off to a 10 second lead all by himself
Do you know when that was? I wanna watch that race.

I wish people would give the real facts. Especially when they're the ones making the video in 2003 he said Jr had to make how many wins for a sweep.
I don’t know if it can be beat because now the race has become a race of survival and not about who’s got the dominant car anymore it’s who can survive all the wrecks and the late race GWC
Yeah I think Denny’s gonna do it soon
Also dale jr is funny when hes just being himself lol
The Daytoner Figh hunnit is upon us boys
Or like Mikey Waltrip says, "Five-Hunrett'
Dale Jr was a superspeedway ace. But his overall cup career was disappointing.. Honestly it wasn't fair to him, he got so hyped just cause of his name. I think that was a big weight to carry
I was think Danny but then i remembered the clash is on the road course so this year i think the one with the best chance would be Chase
I think it was pretty easy for Ralph Dale Earnhart Jr. Considering how the Kit's Kaboodle was "RIGGED" for him, as per usual!
Here at 28,585 views. (before that too)
11:10 ayo what the hell how did no one catch junior saying this on LIVE TV??????
You could argue Tony Stewart was Jr’s best drafting partner over Waltrip
Jaret, why didn’t this come sooner?
We called Kevin Harvick the Viper
Dale Jr winning in 2004 was awesome but damn that race was boring. 160 out 200 laps under green and field was so spread out
Dale Jr. said shit in the same calendar year on the same network albeit different series
I think the only drivers that may be able to would be Chase Elliott, Kyle Larson or Ryan Blaney.
Honestly I don’t think it’ll be beat just because now it’s about survival you really don’t just see dominant cars. Dale Jr. had a better car in 2003 especially the Shootout car I remember after the 125 he said the shootout car was better than the 500 car. Had the race went back green there’s no doubt he would’ve won that car was just so strong
Back when he hadn’t had concussions and worried about getting hurt.
Jarrett,Gordon,Johnson,or Waltrip
I think he would have done it in 2003 if the alternator hadn’t given up the ghost and the race wasn’t rain shortened. But who knows lol.
Best family too ever drive stock cars
Missing Rings Tony Stewart 2009
11:08 Did Junior ever run a Truck?
Dale jr. did a better job than he will ever get credit for. He seen his father die and continue on in the sport that took his dads life just as Jr was entering his prime
Everyone in the comments: DALE JR GOAT, WOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! DALE BOOGITY!!!!!!
Me: wait, why wasn't the Busch Series race finished on Sunday Night instead of Monday??
(I have been thinking about that question since last year)
Because they ran the 500 on Sunday.
@@cc88 I mean.... they could’ve finished the race after the 500 was done. Right? Or nah
@@IanTheMotorsportsMan_YT No way they drivers could handle the toll on their bodies that would take.
@@cc88 so it would’ve been impossible for them to race on Sunday night after the 500?
I wanna make videos like you, how do I get started?
Be a genius
Have talent unlike your 2020 season
You're saying in order for someone to best this speedweeks is to win the CUP triple, but junior's speedweeks is held up because of the Busch series win? I suppose that seems right when ol June bugs involved 😆
how is it a sweep if he only got 3 out of 4 both times? whats the difference?
near superfecta for the pied piper of Daytona🤗
If it wasn't for Jrs car failing to start after the red flag in the 03 500 he probably would've swept it then
I remember where I was when he got the 500 in 04! Jr was the man!
Do I believe someone could beat that performance yes I do
But at the same time do I think it's likely no the way they raced nowadays
I just don't think it's likely to ever happen but I do think it's possible
But it would have to probably be at Kyle Busch or at more more or less a Joey logano for to happen.
it would have to be someone who's really good on restricted plate tracks for that to happen
The name Earnhardt owns Daytona no matter if it’s Sr or Junior
I see people crying about how was it a sweep? That ken Schraders was the real one. Well ken only raceed in the clash, the 125 and the 500. Won clash and 125. Where did he finish in the 500? Wasn't first. Thats 3 races right there. Not 4 😮 and no nobody has ever one the clash the 125 the bush race and the 500. But jr ran all 4 won 3 and finished 2nd in one. And im pretty sure his father has done it also . The difference is jr won both points paying races and the 125 finishing only second in the clash. Ive seen his father win the clash the 125 and the bush race but lose the 500 in the same weekend. Im pretty sure earnhardt sr won the 125 race 10 years in a row. I think that's pretty impressive in itself. Earnhardts are the kings of Daytona and talladega. And since they no longer race these same 4 races at Daytona that accomplishment will never be equalled. And it doesn't matter if drivers of the past may have won 3 of the 4 they would still have to finish 2nd or better to equal what earnhardt jr did. 2nd,1st,1st,and 1st
Denny Hamlin 2014?
Nope 👎🗑
Denny Won the clash and duel
Jr won the clash duel Busch and 500 so jr’s is better
@@spencer9003 jr didnt win the clash that was dale jarret
@@christianprendergast9194 oh I only heard Dale I was in the kitchen my bad but still won more in the week than Hamlin no hate towards Hamlin tho he’s a great driver
Could you imagine if he won the clash?
Can you make a video on how Brian France was rigging all of these races for Jr. by giving him a plate that did not restrict very much?
I hate to kill the buzz of this video, but 2004's Speedweeks were the same Speedweeks where the Goody's Dash series had the accident where Ray Paprota hit and killed track worker, Roy Weaver.
No one can
Jr did not sweep in 2004 dude. He lost the Bush clash with a 2nd place finish. The real sweep has never been done by a Earnhardt.
It's an absolute shame that the 2003 Daytona 500 was rain shortened. If that was allowed to play out the full distance, there's a decent chance Jr. would have made a legit run at a comeback to sweep the week. He already made up one lap, and with the other dominant car being his teammate in Waltrip, there's a good chance he would have just drafted up front with him and ultimately gotten that second lap back too. From there it would just be a matter of if he could work his way through the field, but he already came from the back to win the Clash earlier that week, so there's a real chance we were robbed of an epic charge to cap off a week of domination that day.
Yes the triple crown but what about beating it with a clash win then a duel win then a truck win then a Xfinity win and finally a 500 win to cap off an ultimate speedweek but also an epic sweep of Daytona
No they can't beat him
No words honestly. Except DAEL!!!!!!!
let's see what my boy Chase Elliott can do this week
duh timmy hill next season
