Bringing back all those memories of when I worked north Wales and especially Snowdonia but fortunately when i travelled those roads there were no woke politicians deciding that 20 mph was sensible. Have a good Christmas Ian and thanks for taking us along with you, much appreciated.
So pleased to bring back some happy (hopefully) memories for you Ian. I get your drift regarding woke councils/governments 🤬. So pleased you enjoyed it, thanks for your continued support. All the best.
Cracking ride that Ian, with most of the roads to yourself, and Scorpio's eating them up , brilliant! I've camped at Beddgelert a couple of times on the Dragon rally near the copper mine . Best wishes to you and the family, Cheers, Mel 🍻
I know where you mean Mel, not far from the Gatehouse we lived in for a year. All the best, I am just working on a silly video which hopefully be out tomorrow 🤔😂
Morning Ian, another great video, you made me chuckle when the sign said temporary road surface, then you said, it never was very good 👍. Look forward to the next one, if the battery allows 😂, have a good Christmas, best wishes to your mum.
Brilliant Ian. I thoroughly enjoyed that and I’m familiar with those fantastic roads and so it was great that you could ride them with minimal traffic on them - one of the few advantages of riding at this time of year. Love the bike and it’s got me thinking about a possible replacement for my Suzuki. A Guerilla would make a fine bike especially during the off season to allow my Interceptor to be kept tucked up in bed in the garage 🤣
Well another year goes bye Ian with roads to explore next year 2025 no doubt. Thanks again for your video,s and your recent detour around my back garden , Until the next time, Ride safe Mike Sunny Wales
Thanks Mike. Hopefully doing a Christmas themed video this morning, for release tomorrow 🤞. I thoroughly enjoyed playing around in your back garden, and look forward to hopefully exploring more next year. All the best.
What a blast! Lovely part of the world. Shame they killed off tourism with their 20mph speed limits. At least I was able to travel round those parts when things were normal many years ago.
Thanks for the memories and the ride, Ian. You mentioned Blaenau; I went round the old slate mine there, back in '86. Piles of slate slag lined the roads in the village back then; do you know if it's still the same?
Yes I’ve been on that railway lovely little train ride , I want to try and go on the Snowden’s railway, walked up Snowden a few times but never on the train. Nice corners on that road. Does your traffic warning go off once you’ve past the works?
Another great video Ian, thank you. Can I pick your brains for a moment? I’m looking to get myself a a small capacity machine for back road scratching and maybe a little tour now and again. Can’t decide between the Classic 350 and the Guerrilla 450. You having owned both, in your opinion which would be the better all round option? There are obviously pros and cons with each bike, but be good to get your views. Furthermore have a great Christmas. I’m sure you’ll be raising a glass to your Dad. Warmest wishes.
I thought I had replied to this, but it is showing that I haven’t, (bloody YT has a funny occasionally), just off out for a Christmas drinkie or two, but will get on it upon our return 👍
The suspension is firm, no doubting that, but it’s not uncomfortably so, well at least for me. All day comfort, the seat helps with that too. The Classic 350 is definitely a bit softer on the bumps, but the Guerrilla is better than the Interceptor was. Hope this helps.

@ Thanks Ian, just thinking about it now though, given the great value for money that the Guerrilla is you could buy one ride it over to somewhere like Maxton and end up with a 6k bike with great brakes, great engine and a bespoke suspension set up!😀 Where else could you get that for the price?🤔
Ooo, hmmm, well for B road “scatching”, definitely the Guerrilla, and for longer rides too….but….if not in a hurry then the Classic 350, which is also easier to ride on the slow, gnarly unclassified roads due to the torque. Does that help ? Fire anymore questions, I’ll try and answer them. Yes, will be thinking of dad over Christmas, he did like this time of year. All the best.
Yes definitely……but with the front forks being Showa, no doubt someone will come up with slightly improved springs, though it doesn’t need much. As for the back, then yes, maybe a Nitron, or YSS unit. The original is on its softest setting out of the factory, and I certainly wouldn’t want it any firmer. Maybe a little bit more compliant 🤔, but for me, as it handles so good, I would just leave well alone………bloody fantastic bike 😎 Cheers
Excellent Scenery.

That was a lovely ride it had everything. Forestry, open water and a narrow gauge railway..! Brilliant..👍
Thanks Nick, all the best.
Thanks for another great ride out more beautiful scenery and very little traffic.
Thanks Glynn, I really enjoyed this one 😎
Another good one Ian, thanks for taking us along with you.🙂👍
Thanks Jonathan, glad you enjoyed it.
You really enjoying getting out doing Guerrilla tactics Ian on the Guerrilla.
Absolutely…until the Spring when Clementine will chill me down a bit 🤣
Morning Ian 😊 what a blast . It was so good. I watched it twice 👍 have a great Christmas and New Year to you and all your family 😊😊
Thanks for watching it twice James, all the best.
The right road on the right bike at the right time of year 👍
Absolutely Julian, thank you.

Thanks Malcolm. You can always tell that my vids aren’t scripted in any way 😂😂

Absolutely Mark, so much easier to keep on top of, no polished cases to worry about 😎
These rides are great to watch. Cheers Ian.
Thanks Dezmond, glad you enjoy them.

@@ianhughesroyalenfield If you return to Wales next year ,let me know and we can perhaps explore together,
Will do 👍
That's a new road for me 😊 I'm sure I have never been down their excellent video, Ian
Thanks James.
Some cracking roads in this video, that looked proper fun.
Thanks Nige…I really enjoyed this one, chance to “let her rip” 😊
it gets a shift on for sure, sounds good too.
The exhaust is really starting to sound well. Cheers

It was last time I was there, in the early 2000’s. Cheers

Oo, it might well do Donna, never thought of that 🤔. Anyway, I have now disabled it, so it won’t annoy me by being there 😂

@ Hi Ian….you’re not going mad; you have already replied. YT messing with your head it seems. Have a great Christmas.
Thanks so much for that……bloody YT bots playing with my head 🤣 Buggers, it’s pretty much messed up at the moment without this 🫣.
Hi Ian
How do you find the suspension on bumpy B roads compared to your other bikes?
The suspension is firm, no doubting that, but it’s not uncomfortably so, well at least for me. All day comfort, the seat helps with that too. The Classic 350 is definitely a bit softer on the bumps, but the Guerrilla is better than the Interceptor was. Hope this helps.
