I have two mileage apps on my phone that I use for all my vehicles and just added the XR to the list. So far I put 62 miles on a few short around town trips and then I did one trip of coincidently 62 miles at speeds between 40 and 65 so now I have 124 miles and have not hit reserve yet. I figured I would just fill up when I hit reserve since that will still be almost one gallon left.
Agree. No where near the touted 124mpg. I live in somewhat hilly area and average 88 mpg. Not bad though. Will have a pretty good range for a section trip.
Filled up after the first 40 miles based on the assumption that the the dealer only filled it to the ring. 4 tenths of a gallon. Estimated 100 mpg and not even broke in.
Oo... the wait , I remember, had a deposit on 2 at a local dealership. While wait...called another dealership out of state , had to get my deposit back from local dealership.
@@cx500chris2 there are a few dealerships around me, I went to a few of them and they were actually cheaper then the one that I put a deposit down on. I’m waiting for a black one even though I could’ve just changed from white to black plastics. I’ll be patient lol. The dealership as of yesterday shows that they have the black ones so hopefully they call me today or even just this week lol.
As you can see , but not mentioned , first tank was easy miles, feeling the bike out, 102.3mpg. 2nd tank was testing out the power,97.5mpg, 3rd tank was through the Woods at 82.5mpg. And now I know the term single track. Because Riding on 4 wheeler trails is no fun ,With street tires
@cx500chris2 @cx500chris2 believe it or not my bike fell over as I forgot to put kickstand plate under kickstand and when I rode the bike next the forks etc are all back to normal now
That type of oil is not for wet clutch, it is 10w30 SN, Should be 10w30 SJ. The Oil I recommend is not for wet clutch and will break down before recommend oil change . Make sure oil is for motorcycle are wet clutch. Terrible sorry for miss leading you.
165 miles on 2 gallons for me also. 165 total miles on the bike.

Does the app keep track of your mile through satellite r do you enter miles manually ???
I’m getting around 75 mpg on my XR150L. Riding a mix of trails and pavement pretty hard. But nowhere close to the advertised 130 mpg. No way, No how!
My mpg is up and down, however I did manage 340 miles out of a tank , 280 to reserve when I packed the tank full of gas.( pump shake ,pump shake)

Great tips! Road miles versus off-road miles make a difference, too, eh?

I dropped 2 teeth in the front and put on a PZ28.
I am guessing I get about 50 mpg
I averaged 42-45 kmpl i hit reserved from full tank at around 380-400 kilometers, may vary from my throttle hobby
I made it 340miles before I had to fill up
Same
180 is where I hit reserve
You got your front end fixed ?
@cx500chris2 did I tell you about the front end getting tweaked a month ago or are you referring to something that will give me better gas mileage .

88.5 on first tank. Know about 82 mpg with 900. Miles. Fla sea level riding.
I did manage to get 340 miles out of one tank , 280 miles to reserve.
The way you ride makes a big difference. I get anywhere from 90mpg to 120mpg
Nice that's about 104 mpg on a 3.2 gallon tank
I mean 113 mpg.
