  • The Intuit Dome will host the 2026 NBA All-Star game as well as a site for the 2028 LA Olympics.
More work and development is seen at the Plaza area next to the Intuit Dome, where an outdoor basketball court and big screen will be. Most panels on the exterior of the dome are now complete. Intuit Dome is scheduled for completion in June/July 2024.

For the 2028 Olympics, all the gymnastics will be held in the Forum, then the basketball will be held in both Intuit and Crypto, with the basketball finals in Crypto.

I think they will eventually build one, but who knows when that is going to be, obviously it won't be ready for the arena opening this summer, maybe by 2026 and the NBA All-Star game, maybe by 2028 and the Olympics?

I went to the Clippers/Bulls game yesterday and while it was evident that the Clippers need their own arena I think not being downtown is a bit of a detriment for the fans. Though next season is almost all sold-out and the plaza area of Intuit Dome will have lots of activity, there really is no connection with the surrounding neighborhood like you have with Crypto and LA Live has with the rest of downtown. Before and after the game downtown has more to offer. I just don't see neighboring Sofi, being much of a place to congregate pre and post game. Also the residential areas south and west of Intuit Dome are probably bracing for incredible traffic coming through their streets. The two parking structures, while needed, won't lend themselves for more interconnection for the fans. Drive in, drive out. After yesterday's game my friend and I walked around the neighboring streets of downtown and the area was filling up with Kings hockey fans arriving to see the night game that was going to happen. The area was hopping. I just don't see that happening in Inglewood. But Intuit Dome will be beautiful and should be a fun place to watch basketball and the plaza area, at least near and after game time should be a busy place.

Yeah I was across the street checking out Hollywood Park at night. It is a ghost town, still. Amazing it has taken nearly 5 years and only a movie theater and some really nice parking garages have opened.Totally different vibe when you are in DTLA.

Hopefully the entertainment zone across the street will accommodate the needs of the frequent fans.

Nice to have the two sports complexes in Inglewood. But I think the Inglewood is a little small . Just my opinion.

It's had two advantages over building within LA city. One, it's been a city with some more open space. Two, it's proximity to LAX, which facilitates sport teams flying in and out of LA.

Good night shots of the Dome.
I didn't know there was still a casino at Hollywood Park. I thought they had torn it down and not replaced it.
It's going to be interesting to see how they deal with cleaning the skylights and how they plan them from not leaking. They are notorious for leaking when it rains. Also, it seems like there could be many nooks and crannies where water can get stuck and pool.
The design is great and it will look awesome, but we'll see how practical it is over the long run. It's like a Frank Lloyd Wright home, looks beautiful, but a huge pain to maintain.

They did tear it down and built a completely new building in 2017
