YEBBA performing "My Mind" at Sofar NYC on September 30th, 2016. But then, I read that Yebba’s mother committed suicide about a week after she sang her first original song; causing "My Mind" to take on new meaning representing mental health. As if the mental illness was taking her mother away 🥺. Most of you read as “wow love the way she portrays pain in her voice”... that’s not what it was. It was worship, freedom, Hope really. And I never re-recorded it because I respect the Presence in that room. Let’s move on together." and then "Later that year, my mom committed suicide. I went back and dedicated the performance to her as it was my last before she passed. So that’s where it will always stay. Don’t ask me to recreate it no mo. You ain’t gotta have respect but pls, have some soul. Let’s move on together." Well, she is literally crying without shedding a tear! So strong. So powerful. “That’s that one”

Wow, you’ve got a wonderful, soulful voice yourself! This is my first time seeing one of your videos…I’d love to hear you perform. Great analysis re. Yebba!
You're the cutest ever girl. Love how much you were moved by this and also didn't analyse her technical failings, cos honestly her performance was literally perfect even if not technically perfect.
She’s a magical voice witch! Lol In all seriousness, it’s really a gifting to be able to make people feel that emotionally connected to a performance. Few performers are able to bring their audiences along for the ride. She did it masterfully!
I'm so glad the internet broke the hold of record company filtering and dismissal of so many great voices. I found some really amazing ones on Twitch. If it weren't for your Twitch I never would have known better. Thanks for you. Yebba was crushing, so good. Great reaction. Same here😭
Ok but I think I’m getting addicted to watching Yebba reaction videos. I loved this. Your reaction was brilliant. Achingly brilliant. And thanks for the nerdy bit too! Isn’t Yebba just mesmerising.
I absolutely loved your reaction to this - I usually try and avoid vocal coaches reaction to this song, because I feel like majority try and critique the song in a technical term and suggest what they would do differently from a professional point of view to make the song “perfect.” As a consumer, you know what I would change about this performance? Nothing. Not a damn thing. You could hear her heartache and vulnerability, and that sets her aside from so many of the polished artists you hear these days on the radio. The lyrics were so relatable, and Yebba sang that for all the women (and men) who have found themselves in the exact same situation once before. My tears flow every time I hear this song.
There are a dozen things that set you apart from other voice reacts, but the most striking and (IMO) most important is that your reactions feel genuine- so genuine, so raw. I love your videos so so much. You’ve introduced me to so many wonderful talents in such a short time and that’s so valuable to me.
Fairy voice mother, first of all you look fantastic and fuchsia. Second of all I watch a lot of vocal teachers react. I just find it fascinating. But your explanation of things and the way that you experience the performance holistically, a really unique. Youre delightful
Thanks for that sincere reaction! That song and performance from Yebba makes me cry everytime... I was waitng for a long time to live that special moment with your beautiful soul... :-)
My favourite reaction video so far, loved your emotional reaction and you analysed her so well you saw through her emotional performance instead of picking on her vocal imperfections cause i didn't think she was trying to impress anyone with her vocal technics she was telling a story and pouring her heart out
Your sobbing through half of the performance? A mirror image of me, for sure, every single time I watch it 😂 Also, your analysis is beautiful and gave words to the feeling I experienced while listening to her. Also, your voice and technical breaking down of the abilities of Yebba were both, as equally gorgeous. :) Bless you fairy voice mother 😂 Loved the curses at the end, especially. Very fairy like 😂
I think you are the best vocal teacher ever....and also have beatiful soul to understand the artist....i love your sence of humor and perfect knowledge of vocal technique p.s.you can sing like dimash OMG 🙏🙌🎤🎼🎶💪but more emotional ❤️
watching you feel this so deeply was beautiful... the mind and heart of an artist. i need more of that in my world. not much of that to be found in the corporate universe in which I spend most of my time. and your voice... wow.
Fairy vocal coach mother friend. Your nan was right, pink is a good choice for your cheeks. Thank you for teaching me about this beautiful song and singer today. This video has earned you so much good juju, I’m certain. 🙏🙌👏

I came here after watching your reaction to Seventeen because I was intrigued by your genuine vibes. I love this reaction as well, you let yourself feel, and it’s admirable.
I’ve watched so many reactions to this Yebba performance. Yours is my favourite.
Honestly the best and realest and honest reaction I have ever seen!!!! I love your content and your soul!
LOL @ "out of the well" effects. Not only do you explain techniques, you entertain. I'm not a singer, but you make me wish I was. I love how you appreciate the talent and beauty of the craft in a truly genuine manner.

Your reaction was a breath of fresh air ... unaffected, natural, emotional 🥰
Wow. Pure expression. I shared your tears.
Thank you for this honest reaction!
I’ve watched this video a thousand times and fall in love with it more every time. But this time, watching you cry, broke me. I found myself in tears as well.
18 million views worth of bad juju…..
Your analysis and singing capabilities COUPLED with that comment makes you a star in the heavens. Thank you.
Your tears are absolutly beautiful and precious.😢
Beautiful reaction!
That old “melisma that breaks upward into a falsetto “ thing … impressive breakdown in many ways ☺️ Bless you for wanting to protect her 🙏
Your videos give me life. Your ability to mimic singers is incredible! ❤️❤️
thats crazy you bring up Aretha she was inspired by her and the clark sister’s , wonderful review !
This is how you feel music! Love the vocals but I love watching you be touched 10 times more!
This is music!
I have never heard that much pain in a voice.... Dear God what a performance. I'm wrecked
Love to hear you sing this song
That performance in my favorites till I die and beyond. Its not just a song. This is emotional weapon of mass destruction)
Wow this was literally me the first time listening/watching this performance; just streams coming down my face. Great reaction n feedback!
Fairy voice mother, first of all you look fantastic and fuchsia. Second of all I watch a lot of vocal teachers react. I just find it fascinating. But your explanation of things and the way that you experience the performance holistically, a really unique. Youre delightful
Watching you weep to YEBBA really sums up this song for me hahaha. 100%.
Thanks for that sincere reaction! That song and performance from Yebba makes me cry everytime... I was waitng for a long time to live that special moment with your beautiful soul... :-)
What a lovely reaction!
My favourite reaction video so far, loved your emotional reaction and you analysed her so well you saw through her emotional performance instead of picking on her vocal imperfections cause i didn't think she was trying to impress anyone with her vocal technics she was telling a story and pouring her heart out
This song just does it for me every time! Your voice is amazing as well !
Your sobbing through half of the performance? A mirror image of me, for sure, every single time I watch it 😂
Also, your analysis is beautiful and gave words to the feeling I experienced while listening to her.
Also, your voice and technical breaking down of the abilities of Yebba were both, as equally gorgeous. :)
Bless you fairy voice mother 😂
Loved the curses at the end, especially. Very fairy like 😂
I think you are the best vocal teacher ever....and also have beatiful soul to understand the artist....i love your sence of humor and perfect knowledge of vocal technique p.s.you can sing like dimash OMG 🙏🙌🎤🎼🎶💪but more emotional ❤️
watching you feel this so deeply was beautiful... the mind and heart of an artist. i need more of that in my world. not much of that to be found in the corporate universe in which I spend most of my time.
and your voice... wow.
Girl this was my exact reaction when first hearing this track....like...how you gone make us BAWL and then say "that's that one"....... GIRL!! 😭😭😭😭
Right!!! Lmaooo like she does this... it ain’t nothing to her 😂😂
Fairy vocal coach mother friend. Your nan was right, pink is a good choice for your cheeks. Thank you for teaching me about this beautiful song and singer today. This video has earned you so much good juju, I’m certain. 🙏🙌👏
I absolutely love how you’re so moved by music and not afraid to be vulnerable. It’s beautiful. Keep up the good content please!!!
Yours is the best reaction to this song ever.
Keep demonstrating techniques. Your remarkable voice is a highlight of these videos, as is your vulnerability and good nature. Bless you.
