A tip I have learned about nesting seams is that if you turn the seam on top toward the presser foot it will be “pushed” against the seam on the bottom so will be nested perfectly.
I recently found your channel by searching for scrappy quilt projects. I’ve been binging all of your scrappy quilt videos, they are so fun! I anxiously await the reveal of how much fabric you have used. I am also a yarn dyer and knitter so I have this same issue with yarn and love to find projects that are great for using up little leftover bits of yarn. I also find that the pile never diminishes as quickly as I think it will. The scraps multiply ! The pastel version of this quilt is my favorite one I’ve seen in this series! I think I will make one just like it for my granddaughter.
Two equally beautiful quilt tops one from a jelly roll and one from strips leftover from other projects You have a way of making it look so effortless, but I know it is not. Thank you for all the tips. It will make a huge difference in my sewing approach. Happy quilting!
I am really enjoying this series of using up 2 1/2 inch scrap strips. I liked the jelly roll quilt but really enjoyed the pastel scrap version. Please keep these videos coming, I have tons of these strips to use up and like all of your ideas!
