I really enjoy it when you do these creative and unique quilts! I think it encourages people to make quilts that are truly their own and not like everyone else's. It's fun watching people do kits or predetermined sew alongs too, but in the end, while the quilt is pretty, it's not necessarily unique to the maker. Love what you are doing! ❤
Hi. Judy here. I love this quilt top. I love scrappy quilts. I have just started quilting and I am addicted!!!! Loving it so very much. Thank. you for sharing with us. God bless!!!
I love it! The completed block in the end didnt scream out to me, but that quilt top 🤩. I'm planning on using a lot of my scraps and stash in the next year and enlarging this to fit my bed is definitely on my radar!!! Thanks for the great tutorials ❤
Frances, I completely understand. I had a completely different idea for how this project would turn out. When I finished one block I just wasnt really sure about it. I am glad I kept going though.
Frances, just like my wife said, she wasn't really that happy with how the block turned out initially, since it was different than she had imagined. But, she kept going and the end result is AWESOME. Quilters seem to be very hard on themselves (I get it, I'm a perfectionist), but sometimes, I think we all need to just keep going so we can see how our visions turn out. I'm so glad she did that here because this is one of my favorite quilts she has made!
I saw this quilt in the background of one of your recent videos, was intrigued. I am so happy to see this instructional video, thanks! Lots of scraps to use up.
So cute Miss Fallon. I think I have to get better at hour glasses but this pattern would definitely give me the practice I need. Can’t wait to see you add more blocks to it. Thanks for taking the time to show us. 🤗
GORGEOUS! I just love this Scrap Explosion pattern! It is amazing! Love all the tips, especially the layout tips like taking a picture! You are awesome. ❤
Love this! It really is gorgeous! I saw Donna doing her version, but had to stop and see yours first. Definitely on my ever-expanding To-Do list! Thanks for the free pattern. Stay well, Muskoka ON 🇨🇦
So beautiful! I love how eclectic it becomes. I may try to do this. I am a newer quilter. I love how thoroughly you explained the process and that you shared it with us. Blessings to you. 😊❤
Love this scrappy project. I'm always looking for ways to use up those left over pieces and this one is right up my alley. Thank you so much for sharing this pattern with us.
Hi Lonnie, and thank you for your order. I checked our records and it shows your order is expected to deliver on the 15th. When you place an order you should receive a confirmation email and later a shipping notification when it ships. Sometimes it can go to spam.
I saw you on Donna's channel but had to come watch this video so I could learn more about the pattern. Very nice and truly a great scrape buster. I really enjoy your videos because you do different type projects!😊
I love love this. I don't know when I will get to it, but I definitely want to do it. I've only been piecing a couple of years, but I will come up with the scraps. I have 4 projects going right now, so it will be a while. My new slide lock rulers will come in handy and I want to get the trimmers too. Enjoying you from NE Tennessee...Great job, Fallon
Beautiful quilt, and I'd like to gather up some scraps and make it! It looks like fun! I've heard good things about the Acorn Pressing Pen. Does it leave any residue on your iron?
Great question! I have never had it leave a residue on my iron if I use it properly. The instructions say to wait at least ten seconds before pressing. If I press right away I had some residue. If I wait then I haven’t. I’m not sure why the ten seconds makes a difference but it really does!
I just received my Trim-Lock cutting template set, and I love them! The template material is sturdy and thicker than some rulers, I love the diagonal lines and no-slip feature, and the handles to turn them are great! Thanks for the quick delivery too.
I NOTICE THAT IT SAYS 108 IN ONE PLACE AND 180 IN OHTHERS WHICH IS RIGHT WOULD LOVE TO MAKE THIS QUILT BUT NEED TO SAVE 5 ICHSQUARESYOR BLOCKS LOOK SO BEAUTIFULTHANKS FOR DOING THIS ON UA-cam
Hi Fallon! Can you tell me where to get the pattern for the quilt you and Donna made behind you with the orange/red backing? The 8patch with a snowballed square. Love to make it! 👍😊
How do you define scrap? & scrap quilt? (Genuinely curious, because, I call charm pack squares - scraps. And it appears as though you are using multiple pieces of one print - I try to avoid that when my goal is a "scrap" quilt. I know other define scraps as leftovers from projects, etc.)
Sorry but no this isn't it. Could you look at the beginning of this video and to your right side behind you and let me know where this pattern is. Thanks!
I believe you are looking for the 9 patch with a twist. It was a quilt along series I did. Here is the first video ua-cam.com/video/KzBCoS-rOo0/v-deo.htmlsi=u4sQM6gNjgq0R2y_

Thank you so much MJ! This was such a fun project and I love that even if I make it again with some more scraps it will look completely different.
Hi. Judy here. I love this quilt top. I love scrappy quilts. I have just started quilting and I am addicted!!!! Loving it so very much. Thank. you for sharing with us. God bless!!!
Quilting is so fun! It is just wonderful having an idea and then seeing it all come together!
A really gorgeous quilt, thanks for sharing. ❤👍from Somerset, UK
Thank you! There is just something about a scrappy quilt! Isn’t there!?

@@sewbeitquilts 😂 hubby said. The faster Im using scraps, the more scraps appears 😂😂
So cute Miss Fallon. I think I have to get better at hour glasses but this pattern would definitely give me the practice I need. Can’t wait to see you add more blocks to it. Thanks for taking the time to show us. 🤗
It will definitely give you practice and since it’s scrappy no one will notice if one is wonky!
This is a terrific use of scraps. Loving the big blocks and the anything goes fabric choices! It’s on my list to do..
I think you will have fun making it!

Wonderful quilt 🤩 Looks like it’s going to use LOTS of scraps - which must be a good thing 🤣🤣 Thanks for sharing 👏👏🇬🇧
I felt like I used a lot of my scraps! But I do still have a lot more!
Love it. Thank you for your guidance. Your hint of the triangle placement was the most helpful to me ever. So pleasing to the eye
You are so welcome
You have an easy teaching method and you do not repeat yourself over and over.... Very enjoyable video AND wonderful pattern.
Thank you so much Pat! That means a lot! I have definitely learned a lot since I started making tutorial videos.
Definitely making one of these.. so cool..
It is a lot of prep work but so rewarding and fun to make!

Hey Fallon…Let’s see your scraps made beautiful…💖🦩
Was there enough pink? I don’t think there was much at all!
@@sewbeitquilts no…definitely not 😊
I love your idea Fallon and I definitely will do it at some point. Like you, I do scrap and/or string blocks “once in a while” and just save them up.
Thank you Kelley! I do need to start working on more between projects to get a larger dent in my scraps!
Just subscribed. You have great hair. Love quilt videos
Thank you for the compliment and subscribing!

Yes, the scraps of fabric will come. And you can just work on these blocks as you accumulate them. Thank you for your order!
Nice, I think I would have added some 4.5” fussy cut blocks as well 😊
Great idea!
Definitely plan on making one of these.
That clapper your using is gorgeous and ill bet your husband made it for you, and oh ya am at interested in having one ❤❤
I'm inspired.

@@sewbeitquilts Thanks - that's what I needed to know. I think I'm going to try it.
Let’s go! I have a collection of HSTs to get me started. I use the acorn pen as well and love it. Thank you Fallon!
Omg! I think you're making it now.
I just received my Trim-Lock cutting template set, and I love them! The template material is sturdy and thicker than some rulers, I love the diagonal lines and no-slip feature, and the handles to turn them are great! Thanks for the quick delivery too.

Someone may have already mentioned this, that shape is called a parallelogram.

What is the name of the type or square up rulers that you used? They are 2½", 3½" and 4½" square. I love the video and the quilt. 😊
We call them trim-locks. Me and my husband make them sew-be-it-quilts.myshopify.com/collections/trim-locks
Hi Fallon! Can you tell me where to get the pattern for the quilt you and Donna made behind you with the orange/red backing? The 8patch with a snowballed square. Love to make it! 👍😊
Can you tell me if the tailors clapper you’re using is handmade or did you purchase it? Can you provide details as I’m very curious. Thanks!
My husband makes them and sells them in our shop. sew-be-it-quilts.myshopify.com/collections/clappers
In one of your video's, you used a large button template to make round fabric cut outs. What was that and where can I get one, TIA
I looked around and couldn't find it anywhere. I received it in one of my Jenny's Countdown to Christmas boxes from the Missouri Star Quilt Company.
I love your trim ruler tool. Can I buy in Australia?
Please share with me the little rulers you used. My biggest problem is cutting. Thanks.
Here is a link to the trim-lock rulers: sew-be-it-quilts.myshopify.com/products/trim-lock
Where did you get the trimmings g tool? Is it available in the UK?
I would love that ruler with the little handle. Where did you get it?😊
Hi I live in Australia and tried placing an order for the trim lock but unable to do so can you help please.
You mentioned the various sized rulers to square up the blocks. Are they all sold together with the gripper? If, so where?
Yes they are sold in a bundle all together. You can find them here: sew-be-it-quilts.myshopify.com/products/trim-lock
Is it safe to say that 1/2 of the fabric you cut will be background?
Yes if you want a background fabric instead of all scrappy then half would need to be your background fabric.
What is in the easy press pen & where do you get one?
Where do I find the squares with the handle
We make them and sell them in our shop! sew-be-it-quilts.myshopify.com/collections/trim-locks

Thanks for the video, but guess you didn't mention what are you using to press the seams, it is water on a glue container... Im confused
I used the Acorn Easy Press Pen.
I think I will try this by cutting my scraps with my AccuQuilt. Much less tedious.
Great idea!
Where can I purchase the Easy Press?
It is available on Amazon
I do have a tub of scraps, but just can't let go of the idea of symmetry.
Scrappy quilt’s definitely aren’t for everyone. This is my first scrap quilt that I didn’t try to plan out.
Sorry but no this isn't it. Could you look at the beginning of this video and to your right side behind you and let me know where this pattern is. Thanks!
