just to comment on the presuming all animals can talk ;) crispin actually gives you the ability to talk to animals. so technically, ALL animals CAN talk to grahm :)
@@LetsPlayWithBrigands :) this was fun to watch loved the back and forth with your brother made it really fun, reminded of back in the day when my friend and I had to team up to play this, draw a map of the desert. The awful voice acting but we were in aw the concept of a voiced video game was just so new. No matter how bad it was lol
Sierra, Apogee, Lucas Arts and ID Software were the best in my opinion. Blake Stone, Commander Keen, Rise of the Triad, X-Wing, etc. The tycoon games were also amazing. Sim City and Transport Tycoon. The best part was the games were not political. They didn't care about diversity, feminism and woke ideology. Their only objective was to make great video games, with minimal bugs and long replay value. Today we are sold bug addled games filled with Marxist ideology. Indie games are just about the only titles I will purchase. Red Dead Redemption 2 was my last triple A purchase. It's a fun game, but the politics are hard to ignore. It's super easy to mold the hearts and minds of incredulous consumers. The CIA admitted that about television. Video games are just another form of entertainment created by government public school graduates to shape the hearts and minds of people. Sorry for the rant.
Glad I came across your personal fav list of KQ games video. Really enjoy your chill LP n streams. I didn't grow up with these games but i've always enjoyed playing these and watching OG fans just chill stream these games.
You can miss getting a perfect score by not encountering the beast a second time and using the peas and/or not encountering the cat and putting him in a bag.
Great LP of a great game from my childhood. Its flaws are glaring now, but back then I was utterly in its thrall, and I still really like it. Hope you guys LP the sequel, which I have to admit is a superior game.
Yeah I think 6 is probably my personal favorite of the series. Hopefully we can knock it out before the holidays are over. Much thanks for the words, Seth.
I bought this game back in the day (probably still have it packed away in some box), as I did with most of their games that would come out. But it's been SO long ago now that I honestly don't recognize almost anything in this video.
@@LetsPlayWithBrigands One of their games that I remember really well, is "Robin Hood: Conquests of the Longbow", I remember really enjoying that game.
I really enjoyed this game when I was about 8 to 10 years old, but I ONLY had the shareware. It wasn't until about 2002 I bought a KQ Collection to finally finish playing this.
That one voice actor sounds like David Letterman. I had to google to put it to rest. I heard it in the background and tought I had put on a video of his old TV show.
So awesome, I haven't played through this in years!! I seem to remember some game crash towards the end that made me start the whole thing over with the fix..........good ol' Sierra games. Also, this is the first time seeing these parts with the dwarfs and singing ants after being introduced to South Park, and the ant song reminded me of the Underpants Gnomes. I think I need psychiatric help. lol
Nice. Yeah I love the mix of talent they get for the voice acting, and seeing the credit lists of some of these people who have gone on or already had a variety of work over the decades.
I have it "in the can" as they say as I did it with my brother around the time we did this one. I'll probably put it up around the holidays as I'm trying to space them out pretty well. And thank you very much for the words, I really appreciate it.
Some nasty ways to die by falling off.. even small heights. And the crossing puzzle in the mountains is just dumb trial and error, more annoying than the likes of the scorpion /desert problems.
Ha there's always that guesswork of how high of a fall can our protagonist survive in these Sierra games. Occasionally yeah like a 2 foot drop can do Graham in.Almost enough to revoke his king license over.

Ha good call; I was stuck in the KQ3 way of thinking, wondering how Graham is capable of this without the magical dough in his ears heh.

As someone who grew up playing these, this commentary is legendary 😄
Ha thanks so much, Jeffrey!

Love all the King's Quest games, I got this one for Christmas 1991 and loved every minute of it. These games were the shiznizz back in the day.
Ever notice how Cassima has shoes on when moving through the maze, yet she's barefoot both before and after that?
Good continuity catch!
That song the ants sing has been stuck in my head for 30 years…
Heh I know, right?

+Seth Wilson I fully agree. I'm glad there are others who still love this game as well as the whole series. VI is my fave but I like this one too.

Yeah I've had that with some games I haven't touched in a couple decades.
@@LetsPlayWithBrigands One of their games that I remember really well, is "Robin Hood: Conquests of the Longbow", I remember really enjoying that game.
A mickey mouse sounding owl spreading angel dust, nice 😂🦉 the main character got really excited after that little sprinkle 😅
Ha yes indeed.
1:01:05 You should be happy you didnt meet a rat king, its not what you think.
Ha true.

It's always exciting when you enter into uncharted territory for the first time playing the game years later. Hope you enjoyed it, Joseph!

Yeah I had a memory of it crashing right at the end at Mordac. Pretty rough. Haha the SP Underpants Gnomes tune definitely rings true.
