- Nearly seven weeks after four University of Idaho students were stabbed to death in their college home, police announced the arrest of 28-year-old Bryan Christopher Kohberger. Kohberger now faces extradition after being charged with four counts of first-degree murder for the deaths of Kaylee Goncalves, Madison Mogen, Xana Kernodle and Ethan Chapin. The Law&Crime Network's Angenette Levy breaks down everything we know so far with veteran homicide detective Fil Waters and retired FBI Agent Bobby Chacon.

I would like to say Thank you to the Police and other investigators on this case, the families deserve Justice.
The question is Why ? Why would he kill 4 innocent strangers? Prayers go out to the victims family. May the victims RIP
I’m wondering too,to me I don’t see a reason,guess there wasn’t one,I’m thinking he wanted to be Ted Bundy
And why not go downstairs? He went upstairs? I mean I’m thankful but it’s just interesting.

@@marknewton6984 very true
My thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends. May you all get the justice that these victims deserve and may God guide everyone involved to help get the swift justice needed. So far everyone who worked this case you’re doing a great job.
I am an Australian and I only just found out about this crime by watching the news last night. I am so shocked by the tragic loss of life and right before Christmas. My heart ♥ goes out to the families for the loss of their loved ones. I am shocked that a criminal justice Phd student committed these crimes.
He fought the Law..
and the Law won!!
I would imagine that the two surviving roommates are feeling very fortunate that the killer did not go downstairs to get them God bless everybody
But why didn't he?
Hopefully they don't get survivors guilt.
@@whitetrashjacked so true ): I hope they as well as the families of the victims all turn out okay in the end. What a horrible thing to happen
My guess is that he did go, but their doors were closed.
He did but there doors where locked.... common have you been keeping up with this?
I really thought it was the ex boyfriend Jack. A lesson learned not to judge by appearances. Poor guy is having to grieve while being wrongly accused. So sorry.
You lynch mob ought stop for once and think.
Ya I thought he might have done it also, poor guy is most likely been bashed by a lot of people, I'm sorry also, for jumping to conclusions.
Same, to be fair it usually is a partner or ex partner; but this is a lesson to let the experts do their thing
I didn’t really think it was the Ex. I thought it was a complete psychopath with feminine traits, or an insane female.
Why did you think that? I’m just curious
I have a feeling he didn't ditch the weapon.
He sounds like this all was one huge experiment for him. He's probably proud of, or is happy with his findings, to the point where he didn't even think he needed to ditch it.
It also sounds like he just went on with life normally after what he did.
All of those involved in this investigation should be given nothing but praise forvtheir awesome work in this investigation.
Cudos to them all!
I was genuinely surprised to see they got someone. I totally thought this was gonna end up a cold case.
Why would younassume it was going to be a cold case? Because it wasn't solved in 3 episo....weeks?
Prayers for the family and friends and the entire state. This was such a huge loss. RIP 🕊️
Oh my dear Lord only knows how severe a pain that is. I praying for God to bring to light what happened to my 22yrs old grandson,Ethan Bherwani at the Mohegan sun resort on May 18th 2021 while he was celebrating his college graduation with 'friends'. Prayer is power! Bless our law enforcement men n women.
Do prayers get watered down as they spread through an entire state or how does that work?
@@undergrounddojokeyboardcag701 no sir! People genuinely care for this state and about this tragedy. We want the best for them to get through this and prayer works. Try it! Cities really struggle after mass losses. Check out the movie “Bowling for Columbine”, you’ll see how the all the people in that city were affected and still hurt over it years later. Good informative watch.
A huge loss to the families... absolutely, but outside of their relatives/close friends... Idk about that, we have 8 billion people on the planet, mass numbers die every day... from young to old, some tragically, others peacefully, but who knows, one of these kids could've went on to cure cancer... we'll never know. I guess I just don't get why people become invested in these cases and act like they've suffered a personal loss... I think it's unfortunate, but it doesn't stir up any emotions in me either, neither did events like 911, do people pretend to care or am I just emotionally dead?🤔
@@JohnWayne-86ed Sounds like you compartmentalize, meaning that you're very pragmatic and logical in your thinking (brain) without going further into connecting to your heart. Imagine losing the one person you love the most and really let yourself feel the pain, that's how you might try it.
I can only imagine the 2 girls living in the lowest level finding out about this guy. So creepy. I wonder if they ever met him. Sick man.
Chief Fry and LE. You rock.
I am sure they will interview those 2 girls and we will find out if they remember meeting him.
Interesting how they're so confident they have their man that no one's used the word allegedly in reference to him. I've never heard of this before.
I hope he didn’t do this as some very sick first hand research for his doctoral dissertation.
I think it was !!!
My first thought when I saw his background. It is research for him. May have even planted evidence to see if the detectives could find him. I am a pure sceptic.
Well, if he is found guilty on 4 counts, getting a doctoral degree means nothing.
I saw another news thing say cops were watching him before he even left Idaho for Pennsylvania and they followed him there. I'm assuming when cops said "there's no need to worry" like about anyone else getting murdered, is because they were keeping a close eye on him
Sounds about right... they couldn't give out too much info to soon.
Yes and then when they went back on that I think it’s because they didn’t want to tip anyone off that they found him and were following him
Well done! I knew this day would come, I understand the impatience but I would've been extremely surprised if this case had gone cold and it didn't. Thank god they got him before the new year! Amazing work!
His eyes look dead. Kudos to LE for all their work. And to social media.
it’s called psychopathic stare
I told my mom the same thing. He does look like he has no remorse, and his posture and face give away his arrogance.
I have heard that he was a drug user could have been why the crazed flat affect, who knows
Dead shark eyes.
No and yes. You are describing it wrong. What you are noticing is classic psychopathic facial features. sometimes called “criminal faces”
I wonder what would make him do this if he had no relations to these students, hope all the answers are answered and the victims family get justice
Mass media is lying or witholding the most inportant info here.
What is his motive?
There is word the father of one of the young women noticed the pos had communication or somehow knew his daughter by what is on her phone. Based on what GM stated from a local Washington brewery, where GM told POS he was not allowed to stay at brewery b c of past behavior. Apparently the POS was called one waitress a b**** b c she turned him down. Basically if a woman turned him down he would become irate and verbally retaliate. Regards what his motive he needs to pay for his crimes. Maybe do the same thing to him.
Insecurity and self loathing i'd wager, he was bullied throughout most of his teenage years and didn't have many friends or social life. Not that any of those are good reasons for murder mind you.
@@distantraveller9876 you’re stereotyping. No logic behind your statement whatsoever 😂 but whatever floats your boat.
He's an educated walking, talking animal. More animal than human inside.
Please don't put that killers picture in the same frame as those innocent children's picture!!! It makes me sick to see him next to those kids💔

Amazing Work...Justice for these Beautiful Young People.
I lost a friend at 16 when she was in a tragic car accident. I can only imagine the extra layers of pain and loss when your friends, family members, class mates etc. we’re brutally killed in this way. It is so hard to comprehend why someone would want to do that. Thrill killers are the most dangerous imo.
This case and the delphi Indiana case have been living rent free in my head.
If this guy is proven to be the killer, I'd like to see anyone who has the balls admit they jumped to conclusions when they "just knew" someone else did it - the roommates, "hoodie guy", Jeremy the neighbor, Joe at the food truck, the ex, etc.
Exactly what I believe 👌
And Jack the ex-boyfriend, so irresponsible to accuse people of murder, without having the slightest clue what you’re talking about.
i had money on "hoodie guy"
Takes a special person to admit they are wrong & those types wouldn't be the type to blatantly accuse random & innocent people. Paradox.
Inside Edition ran a story claiming it was an "incel"
So freak'n scary! A student in criminal law. WTF?!?!!!!
Reminds me of the scream movie
He has dead shark eyes.
Has been many such cases
So cliche

I live in Pennsylvania and am so shocked that a crime that occurred so far away ended with the monster in my State of Pennsylvania. He wasn't very far. It's just shocking to think this Monster wasn't too far away. He wasn't far from the Poconos! The Poconos is a beautiful mountain with many tourists and a huge family resort. I am completely shocked.
He’s from that area. I’m in NY not too far and it creeped me out, too. I had this false sense of security here because Idaho is so far away. But yeah, creepy.
Wierd that he went home to his parent's home. If he did, indeed, do it, why go to parents?
He literally just graduated school and then went home for Christmas probably (and maybe to lay low, even though he finished classes and finals after the crime)
@@heathermcnally1358 Did he graduate from his doctoral program, or was he still working on his thesis?
Those studying for a PhD normally do their coursework in the first couple of years of the program (PhD student), and spend the remainder in research overseen by their thesis advisor (PhD candidate). They do not graduate until they have written and orally defended their thesis.
I do not think he had graduated from his doctoral program. Everything I have heard describes him as a graduate student.
The illegal alien serial killer Rafael Resendez Ramirez rode the rails around the country, getting off to kill when he felt the urge. He went by my home less than fifty yards away. I can't tell you the number of little homes occupied by widows and single moms along these tracks. He could have (and did) kill wherever and whenever he wanted. He may have gotten me.
That guy saying he's looked into the eyes of evil and then diving into his psychological analysis from the picture needs to shut his pie hole. He's making stuff up from a picture

They haven’t got the guilty verdict yet. We will now see how smart he is, how difficult he has made it for the police.
I hope it’s him, and I hope they get really strong evidence. Maybe difficult to prove it to a court. Who knows what evidence tho the police have.
He may have kept the knife as a trophy..
It's interesting that he kept the car. Even though he may have thought he was not going to be caught, regardless of how well he cleaned the car, it would have.been impossible to get all evidence
removed.
Getting rid of the car and replacing it may have attracted more attention considering that he lived on the WSU campus in a multi-family building with neighbors knowing the comings and goings of others, including the vehicles they drive. Then there's the parking permit that would have needed to be transferred to a replacement vehicle. Probably smarter to have kept the car if he believed he was never going to get caught and therein lies his arrogance.
I am with you, that he kept the knife, so he could relive what he did over and over. I am glad the neighbors kept an eye out for their neighbors! Someone wrote down that license plate and description of vehicle. Thank you!! May we all be vigilant of one another.

I hope now most people understand how a seriously competent investigation team works.
I do have to say, the cops showed their ridiculers! We the public are not the experts. I think that's what's we've all learned today. I feel so sorry for this monster's parents.😟 To think of how proud they must have been with him getting those degrees. Being determined to make something of himself. Only to face the horror that hes not what they thought him to be. They never knew him. Or maybe they did and tried to block out what they saw. But, if they loved him as most parents do, it must be worse than having a child die. Absolutly heartbreaking!
@Mister Google Oh...😕
Back in the days my grandpa was friends with a serial killer and had no clue.. the guy use to work on cars with my grandpa and they use to talk about everything. This was on O’ahu, Hawaii back in the 70s-80s.. the guys name was Ronald “Ronnie” Ching
My neighbor was arrested on March 10th Harvey Marcelin, had a head in his apt. I passed him on my block dozens of times. You just never know.

May the families find strength during this time.
I'm sure there will be a movie and a Dateline special. This is high profile. People will be clamoring for the movie rights. 😏
There will be a change of venue probably and it wouldn't surprise me to see a closed courtroom. The judge will decide. And I don't believe he would be charged with 4 counts of homicide/murder if they didn't have the necessary evidence to prove it. They could hold him on other charges, without the homicide charges, if they weren't certain of the strength of the evidence they already have. Time will tell...it always does
