Wrote another comment in case he is now guilty, but out of laziness I unfortunately couldn't bring myself to continue writing it, as my message was what a serial killer is. Then Americans, because I assume that it is most of them who write about this case, have no idea what a serial killer is. Since people have been writing about serial killers since the beginning.

    • @mariabergendal1019

A serial killer is someone who has killed at least 3 people over a long period of time, and often has a modus operandi on their victims. A spree killer is someone who kills several within the same day, but in different places. Mass murderer is someone who kills at least 4 but in the same place within as short a time as possible. So about this man we are talking about, if he is guilty of this deed and has not killed people before, then he is counted as a mass murderer.

Most "evil" people aren't evil all the time, or most of the time, or even half of the time. Most people convicted of horrendous things did them in a moment, or a series of moments, in their lives. We keep looking for the perfect criminal but the bitter truth is that people capable of doing horrible things are also defined as being loving, smart, social, warm, and friendly by those that know them best. That's the scariest part. How an everyday person can shift into a monster and back again.

Yeah, it's strange to think to about... presumably he had some days where he did normal routines and occasionally did something polite for someone else. That's not realllly how it is though. It all comes down to Cluster B personality disorders---ASPD (psychopath/sociopath) and NPD (Narcissist) with co-morbidities.
That means that these people go through life wearing a mask, a created persona, to blend and be socially acceptable. They do not feel emotions as neurotypicals. They don't just "change", it's more like the person you thought you knew was completely fake and never existed.
They cannot love, form emotional attachments, feel empathy, etc. That's the most terrifying part. They're like aliens; actors pretending to be human. They mimic. That's why everyone ends up shocked. Reality is, they've never been able to be themselves. Always wearing a mask of a normal human.

The answer was everyone is born with predisposition to snap and it is triggered by the highest level of stress and other factors that sets them off . So I guess it depends what age they reach all those factors ….. human mind is very interesting

BK only arrived in Pullman in August, three months before the killings. That’s enough time to have become fixated on the girls and cased the house, but the initial thing that made him pick those girls is still a mystery. He was older, weird, didn’t go to their school, had no friends on campus or in the area…did he follow one of the girls home and slide into one of the house parties? He seemed to know the entry points and layout too well for someone who’d never been inside. Everyone assumes Kaylee was the target but she’d already moved out and was in Maddie’s room. What if point of contact was The Mad Greek? Maddie worked there, Xana too. What about Xana? She had her dad change the locks on her room because she was afraid of some unidentified man. And Mr. Goncalves Made that strange comment, “he didn’t have to go upstairs”. If one of the upstairs girls was the primary target, that comment makes no sense. If he was after Xana…? Or even Ethan if he was pissed off that this guy was in this house of young women that he’s been lusting after? I think one of the two blondes was the more likely target because those two were so active posting suggestive pictures of themselves on Instagram. I don’t think Xana courted that kind of attention. Both Kaylee and Maddie listed themselves as “influencers”, And both were the kind of pretty popular sexy girls that would not have given this perp the time of day. Not sure how this guy who is not a classmate of theirs would have found their Instagram accounts unless he made contact with one of the girls who worked at the restaurant and learned their names. Kohburger is an obsessive vegan, so one of the first things he would have done when he came to WSU was look for vegan restaurants in the area. It might turn out that he was a regular customer at the Mad Greek and it wouldn’t have been hard to follow Madison home and find out where she lived and find out her Instagram handle. So there was definitely some advance planning and fantasy but not enough. To really have been successful, Brian should’ve obtained fake ID and an untraceable car, used that to commit the crime and then fled the country. Instead he drives his own easily identifiable model car to the crime scene, leaves his DNA there then drives that car cross country to his parents’ house. Not the actions of a man who does not want to be caught. He used his own car to commit the crime and then went directly to the first place that detectives would look. I think being captured is all part of his game, because he will surpass his hero Ted Bundy if he can get off these charges.
