A serial killer is someone who has killed at least 3 people over a long period of time, and often has a modus operandi on their victims. A spree killer is someone who kills several within the same day, but in different places. Mass murderer is someone who kills at least 4 but in the same place within as short a time as possible. @@superkoopatrooper4879 Why? It's in legible, understandable English. I as an autistic person can clearly see that OP understood the connection between learning how to get away with crimes and learning about where the urge to kill comes from, or "Why he thought as he did."
Most "evil" people aren't evil all the time, or most of the time, or even half of the time. Most people convicted of horrendous things did them in a moment, or a series of moments, in their lives. We keep looking for the perfect criminal but the bitter truth is that people capable of doing horrible things are also defined as being loving, smart, social, warm, and friendly by those that know them best. That's the scariest part. How an everyday person can shift into a monster and back again.
Yeah, it's strange to think to about... presumably he had some days where he did normal routines and occasionally did something polite for someone else. I believe they said he administered CPR to someone choking at a previous job. It's not so much that I think he was empathetic but that in a normal day-to-day sense, it's jarring to acknowledge he didn't always do evil things to people.
That's not realllly how it is though. It all comes down to Cluster B personality disorders---ASPD (psychopath/sociopath) and NPD (Narcissist) with co-morbidities. That means that these people go through life wearing a mask, a created persona, to blend and be socially acceptable. They do not feel emotions as neurotypicals. They don't just "change", it's more like the person you thought you knew was completely fake and never existed. They cannot love, form emotional attachments, feel empathy, etc. That's the most terrifying part. They're like aliens; actors pretending to be human. They mimic. That's why everyone ends up shocked. Reality is, they've never been able to be themselves. Always wearing a mask of a normal human.
Every human being on this earth has the capability of killing even you. The problem is that the police are corrupt and when you have someone making one look bad. You take one item and twist and turn it, so it looks like they did it. I still believe there were more people involved in this killing and the police wants to close this and move on. But wait all the killings everywhere the police need to close so, they want to blame him for everything so they can close their cases and move on.
Most people think that those who are sociopaths and who commit evil deeds will look and behave as social outcasts who can be easily identified. The fact of the matter is that the worst criminals often occupy the highest political offices, sit on corporate boards, are very accomplished both professionally and socially, and are very charismatic and well liked.
CEOs, Presidents, and heart surgeons have high rates of sociopathy (but aren't necessarily murderering ones.) It enables them to coldly and calmly drop bombs, use products that might be harmful, and slice into a human body with a steady hand -- so it does have its uses both good and bad.
ya, it's pretty dumb to think a killer is going to look crazy. in this case it wouldn't have mattered, because he attacked in their sleep. but many killers approach their victims, and that wouldn't work as well if they were drooling, babbling, weirdos.
True - some of the worst war mongers, genocidal dictators, sexual predators, unscrupulous corporate executives & head honchos engaging in fraud or other crimes are alpha males who are aggressive, loud, charming, always laughing and smiling, usually have a maniacal laughter and try to be the center of attention at parties by cracking jokes etc. They can be politicians, generals, Drumpf, Harvey Weinstein, Jeffrey Epstein types.

One of the most prolific serial killers here in CA was an ex-cop who reportedly did 50 or more murders. Being in law enforcement helped him cover his tracks.
Many people are surprised at a person known to them committed a crime. I think this is because stereotypes and generalisations tend to paint perpetrators as visibly "evil". The truth is, perpetrators a commonly just like you or me, they can be attractive, have a stable job, a family or very altruistic.

I know there used to be a psychologist in Russia who helped solve the famous Russian serial killer who mostly killed kids and young homeless adults. He figured out the personality type to help find him and later opened a program for people who had obsessive thoughts of killing others or hurting animals/humans. And it was interesting the study he did. Part of what he was hoping to do was to have these people turn themselves in to get into “rehab” program of sorts before they committed a crime. It worked for some but not all.

He's also going to receive first hand sex education when the men have their way with him. Those 4 victims were all young. Prisoners don't like murderers like him.

It always amazes me how so very proactive these psycho killers are. The amount of work and energy being put on doing evil says everything that anyone needs to know about them, no need to psycho analyze them. They are literally getting out of their way to start PhDs on the matter now, before they do it; I mean it just writes itself!
Studying criminal justice doesn't make anyone a criminal. Many law enforcement officers and prosecutors have to study it. Some of the FBI agents who did the forensics and helped track him down probably had a degree in criminal justice. The media is only focusing on what he studied to make him look like Hannibal Lector.
@@mikeirwin63 Yes, and the amount of work they put into it, like wtf.. the guy gets into an actual PhD in criminology, makes surveys online on how to get away with crime, it’s actually labour intensive to be that evil. BK only arrived in Pullman in August, three months before the killings. That’s enough time to have become fixated on the girls and cased the house, but the initial thing that made him pick those girls is still a mystery. He was older, weird, didn’t go to their school, had no friends on campus or in the area…did he follow one of the girls home and slide into one of the house parties? He seemed to know the entry points and layout too well for someone who’d never been inside. Everyone assumes Kaylee was the target but she’d already moved out and was in Maddie’s room. What if point of contact was The Mad Greek? Maddie worked there, Xana too. What about Xana? She had her dad change the locks on her room because she was afraid of some unidentified man. And Mr. Goncalves Made that strange comment, “he didn’t have to go upstairs”. If one of the upstairs girls was the primary target, that comment makes no sense. If he was after Xana…? Or even Ethan if he was pissed off that this guy was in this house of young women that he’s been lusting after? I think one of the two blondes was the more likely target because those two were so active posting suggestive pictures of themselves on Instagram. I don’t think Xana courted that kind of attention. Both Kaylee and Maddie listed themselves as “influencers”, And both were the kind of pretty popular sexy girls that would not have given this perp the time of day. Not sure how this guy who is not a classmate of theirs would have found their Instagram accounts unless he made contact with one of the girls who worked at the restaurant and learned their names. Kohburger is an obsessive vegan, so one of the first things he would have done when he came to WSU was look for vegan restaurants in the area. It might turn out that he was a regular customer at the Mad Greek and it wouldn’t have been hard to follow Madison home and find out where she lived and find out her Instagram handle. So there was definitely some advance planning and fantasy but not enough. To really have been successful, Brian should’ve obtained fake ID and an untraceable car, used that to commit the crime and then fled the country. Instead he drives his own easily identifiable model car to the crime scene, leaves his DNA there then drives that car cross country to his parents’ house. Not the actions of a man who does not want to be caught. He used his own car to commit the crime and then went directly to the first place that detectives would look. I think being captured is all part of his game, because he will surpass his hero Ted Bundy if he can get off these charges.

@@synaesthesia4183pretty much everything you said is completely false and outdated.
You dont have the "eyes". They are indeed evil all the time.
CEOs, Presidents, and heart surgeons have high rates of sociopathy (but aren't necessarily murderering ones.) It enables them to coldly and calmly drop bombs, use products that might be harmful, and slice into a human body with a steady hand -- so it does have its uses both good and bad.
thank you. 110% truth.
The anti Christ will be very charismatic.
ya, it's pretty dumb to think a killer is going to look crazy. in this case it wouldn't have mattered, because he attacked in their sleep. but many killers approach their victims, and that wouldn't work as well if they were drooling, babbling, weirdos.

@@florencetown4024 it should be the "Death right now penalty" when found guilty. Not 10 years later. Our justice system has failed us.
It could also be very simple, like a dare. Like "you can't kill 4 people, I dare you"
Prison psychologists are going to have a blast with this case study.
Most prison psychopaths are dumb psychopaths. The most intelligent and dangerous psychopaths are not in prison, they’re on Wall Street. Bryan isn’t on Wall Street, but he will be an interesting study like you stated.
U mean like Harley Quinn??? They are crazy too falling in love with their patients
The Tiktok creator who blamed an Idaho U professor …has an IOU as in a public apology to the professor…and damages
No idea what evidence they have on this guy but it’s concerning that he’s already been deemed guilty in a country that supposedly stands for “innocent until proven guilty”. Slippery slope
Good point!
They have DNA
Wow... "he wanted to know the criminal mind". That's exactly like a story I read about a murder in Hollywood in the 40's or 50's I think. My memory is rather hazy but I think the woman who was murdered - or the name of the story was The Black Rose. The murderer was a film director who wanted to get inside the mind of a murderer so he became a murderer.
Black Dahlia? Unfortunately it remains unsolved :(
You may be thinking of the Black Dahlia murder. Unsolved, though. Maybe you're thinking of a film based on it?
That was exactly what I was thinking he wanted to experience both sides 😵
Dalia?
@@venusxxblue actually not really the doctor was the one who did that but he was just never prosecuted.
What a glaring omission to not ask his running mate what the guy was like. Details about his personality etc; from what you know about him, can you conceive of him as the type of person that could do something like this?... A very odd interview! One of the worst I've seen.
The journalist have learned the hard way, do not obstruct justice for the 11 o'clock news. If they don't know the answer to their questions in advance...don't ask. That's how cases end w/acquittals.
The suspect is in very good physical shape. My opinion he committed these 4 murders alone, and physically able.
everyone "he was very big and strong." Just shows how out of shape we are, no concept of the strength of fit people.
So he’s been found guilty already? Everyone online knows he’s guilty?
I went to school with this dude ... never would've known he was capable of this 🤦♂️
What was he like when you went to school with him? Was there anything off about him that you noticed?
He is only a suspect at this point, can we all remember that.

If he did it that background in criminal justice isn't gonna do him any good behind bars. But maybe he was a killer trying to hide in plain sight. It's wild tho. Hopefully they will have the evidence they need to bring justice to the victims and their families. Have a great day everyone.
I've heard that in the rare instance that a cop ends up in prison, they really don't have a "great time", as you might imagine.
Ted Bundy did the exact same thing
So disturbing. That guy was so lucky this creep didn’t give into his murder desires back when than ran. That survey he ran is absolutely creepy as F. He was literally studying for this moment when he took those fours lives. It’s just insane to think about.

Yeah. Its a complete fuckin circus joke we've seen many times now.
Yah, we know people are innocent until proven guilty. But where were you when everyone online was trying to name and accuse the victims’ innocent friends, family and roommates? Like, this guy has been arrested on probable cause… the jig is up 😂
I said the same thing. I wouldn't doubt if he's a fall guy with all the pressure the agencies were under.
He'll have a devil of a time explaining his DNA all over the crime scene, but he's white and you're right, the justice system does favor white men.
Funny how everyone is just assuming that the suspect is actually guilty.
The cop at the news conference said they had caught the killer.
We want him to answer all those questions about the crime he committed

I hope he gets treated the way he treated those individuals and I hope the guards turn a blind eye
Stop being a witch hunter. You are already handing out punishment and we don't even know what lead to the suspicion or what proof they have. Can you give it a minute and get proof or a confession first.
@@mayc8674 They would never have arrested the guy and held a news conference about it unless they had proof. They've been watching him for four days. They would have just kept watching him until they had the DNA evidence or whatever. That being said, I want the prison guards to do their jobs.

I totally agree with you and I think they jumped to the wrong conclusions because if you look at the videos about this guy
JACK DU COUER on the CRIME CIRCUS channel you will be convinced Jack is the murderer , as the content creator did a very THOROUGH JOB and even SHOWED the DISTURBING Facebook comments and replies and tweets between Jack and his EX-GIRLFRIEND KAYLEE .
He was CYBER STALKING her ... and he also lived about a 20 second walk BEHIND HER HOUSE .
I believe she felt so guilty about something she did for him that may have caused harm or even death to another person or that she knew he was doing something ILLEGAL ... that would have sent him to PRISON and he decided that she's going to rat him out and she had to be killed .
I believe he was stupid enough to think that IF OTHERS in that house were MURDERED , the police would think they were all the intended targets , when in fact I believe it was ONLY KAYLEE who was the INTENDED TARGET .
I still want to understand the roommates thinking one had passed out and wouldn't wake and so called 911. I can't find the explanation to this with the blood and wounds. Were they just knocking on a closed door, calling, or what ? Does anyone know ?
I'm not understanding it myself. One person, one knife and 4 dead students with their roommates down/up stairs.
