eating sugar is a cycle. you eat it, your body craves it, you eat it. if you stop eating it for JUST long enough, you break the cycle :D ...but sometimes you have to rebreak the cycle over and over again and theres oreo in your mouth

for the pancakes you should have made fruit jam with black berries or any other small fruit but with no sugar added

I just realised how much easier it is to go on a "no sugar" diet with Indian food! And yet, every meal is gonna be super tasty and heavy!
Yeah! I always lose a bunch of weight when I go back to visit my very Indian parents. The only hard part is cutting the sugar from filter coffee and the square of peanut candy after a meal

There are plenty of things that don't have added sugar that you could use as a topping for pancakes. You could use honey, fruit, and sugar-free jam, to name a few things.

If she can top food with fruit, then honey is also allowed. It doesn't fall into the category of "unhealthy," nor is it refined sugar with empty calories. There is a difference between sweeteners and natural sweeteners.

Man. What a time capsule. COVID fatigue is so real... now a day of remote work and ordering dinner feels overwhelming. It's crazy to remember the times of waking up, cooking a breakfast, cooking a lunch, driving to work, coming home, making a supper and attempting to prepare for the next day without that end of the day emotional breakdown.
After like a month long trip to the US with my parents a few years back when we got home, they literally took like the saltiest snacks we had in the house and binged on them for breakfast! It was hilarious 🤣 I loved all the sugary snacks and I would binge on the caramel milk pod things at the hotel and my mom would craveeee salty stuff throughout the trip.

My parents just didn’t give options for lunch and dinner growing up. Like we could choose the food but there were no differences. If we chose salmon and salad, that’s what we all had. We also did a cooking day on Sunday where we made most of the food for the week. My sister and I tried to help as much as possible and it worked. We were more inclined to eat the food we made.

If they put syrup on it, at least the pancake itself doesn't have sugar haha Also, apples with honey recipes are REALLY helpful. I've been trying to eat in a healthier way for a while, and recipes with apple, honey and banana since they are sweet! (when apples are warmed up, they are REALLY sweet)

I keep berries in the freezer, cause when im craving icecream I just put a handful of frozen berries in the blender with a cup of almond milk, blend it and it makes instant berry softserve/thickshake.
