With the whole those parents don't say "No", I think they don't use the word, they find different ways to turn down a idea in a more positive way. I don't agree with it but just wanted to show the other side.
As a daycare employee, I understand the general mindset behind this, but I genuinely find it impossible. I am a stricter teacher by nature, and dealing with a large variety of personality and ages, I definitely have "degrees of no"- turning down a child's helping hand that isn't needed is "no thanks", whereas intentional harm of another is "a big no-no/unacceptable " depending on age and cognitive/intellectual function. Never telling a singular child "no" but instead explaining why certain things aren't allowed might work in theory, but you are ultimately telling them "no" in a more long winded fashion. Or you will have nightmare children. There is no in between
I really needed to see this. I have been feeling like a horrible mom. You are amazing person and mother.
