i can’t be the only one who comes back around every 2- 3 months to watch this video? aha
Pj_vlogsBeauty no, I love this video
Should be seeing you this month or next month 😭😂
gxbaesthetics 😂😂
You are😂
I do
I feel like this is a really good idea for a group of students to do
EilsTheDaydreamer college students!
yeah my sister is in college and does meal prep
Oh yeah! It would be perfect for them!❤️
Don't give teachers ideas
Agreed
Why is everyone glitching about the plastic containers. They are reusable. I reuse any plastic I can, because i live with klutzes and glass tends to break when it gets knocked on the floor, plastic does not.
Also - while I get the concept behind meal prep - I think they did it weird. I meal prep for the week - but not like that and not in containers like that. And I use much sturdier plastic containers to store my food in that have several years of use on them already and they're still going strong.
Jessica Vetter it’s the chemicals in the plastic that people are aware of. You should NOT use the microwave at any cost. Glass allows you to put in the oven. Do some homework on plastic and microwaves. You will change your out look.
I agree with they did the meal prep wrong. They should have done 3 meals for the day. Not just 1 meal for the day.
@@imhuemankeepURcolorsforcrayons Meal prepping just means planning and preparing several meals in advance, which they did. There isn't one correct way to do it as everyone has different needs. Why would someone meal prep for 3 meals a day if they eat prepared food for breakfast and company covers lunch? Next time before you gatekeep someone think about how not everyone is like you and they don't have to be like you.
Angelique Campbell Nothing is wrong with a microwave. People have this belief of Micro-waves getting into the food & etc. please do real research
The plastic they used in the video doesn’t look reusable
Generally, plastic, food, and heat are not a good combo. Re-using plastic is fine, but upgrading to glass whenever possible is better for you :)
Freddie logic:
Say you haven’t done much
Start saying how much you’ve done
i know it kinda annoyed me 😅
“You sure know how to handle that meat.”
I’m so happy for Jen 😂
Leana Dalde lol 😂
Leana Dalde her straight side was showing
Clarence Royandoyan did I miss something?
Leana Dalde o
Cool comment!
I love food but hate making it
The struggle is always real
Joaquin Contreras i like cooking but i hate cleaning up...
Joaquin Contreras yessss
...but the best part of eating is the part where you cook....and 'taste test' as you go ...😉🥗🍗
Nika Dragojevic i would rather clean up than cook! I hate trying to decide what to make and cooking in general. I’ve lived alone for over 15 years and I’m getting lazier with feeding myself.
Actually I love cooking but eating is like eh
4:00 How delicately Freddie is trying to chop that parsley, omg 😂😂😂
"I used to be rlly unhealthy and ate a lot of ready made meals"
Me:Jen that's called college
Louise Meredith I’m not in college or anything but I still eat TV dinners cause 1) I’m too lazy to cook 2) I hate waiting 10-30 mins for food and 3) it’s easier 😂 living on a budget
That’s legit my struggle...
Me: I want to get healthy and treat my body right!
Also me: yeah fuck that
lmao word
Lola Paulmier for me it's just that I can't cook well. I'm a terrible cook
I'm that way too, and it's actually super helpful to have meals in the fridge to eat and all you gotta do is heat them up. It's like a healthy TV dinner that actually fills you up
As a little advice to make meal prep easy for everyone:
1. Pick 2-3 Proteins
2. Pick 2-3 Veggies/Carbs
3. Pick 3-4 Sauces or Spices
Mix and match as you need.
Examples:
1. Grilled Chicken breast in BBQ sauce with broccoli,
2. spagettie sauce w/ ground turkey meat and zucchini noodles
3. Carne Asada Tacos with rice cooked in salsa.
Just to name a few.
P.S. Have 3 types of snacks incase you get peckish. Done!
Thanks for the advice, that must look so delicious 😃
in brazil, most people eat home cooked food. we do like this: we cook half kilo of beans, and freeze it in little tupperware. so you don have to cook everyday. the only thing we cook everyday is the salad. i cool meat three times a week. i never buy ready food for meals. i eat out only for fun.
in D.R. we do the same, and the rice too
Not everyone on Brazil do that. A huge percentage of the Brazilian population don't freeze the food...
In Chile we do the same
Well I think it depends on the family like some families don’t but families like mine do, I don’t think it depends on the ethnicity
Same!
Wow I never knew that a week was three days😂😂😂
the title ‘ meal prep for the week’ not for ‘a week’
Its seven stupid
Cooked food only lasts 3 days in the fridge so meal prepping with cooked food for 5-7 isnt the best lol unless it’s not cooked
A Work Week Maybe? Lol
Same, thought it was gonna be 21 meals
"how do you even chop parsley?" Not with a paring knife that's for sure.
lol. For real. I was like, 1st, ya get a bigger knife. I just laughed. Like, how can they be so clueless about cooking AND grocery shopping? I started learning how to cook in middle school.
the scariest thing for me was her cutting right between her fingers with the knife like I wouldn't have been surprised if she cut of the pads of her fingers *shivers* >.< someone should have shown her how to cut the parsley safely without her risking her hands D:
Preferably with a mezzaluna because they're gorgeous :D.
Get a group of 5 girls together, everyone makes 5 version of their meals and then everyone gets one of each for the week :)
This is actually a great idea :D
I need 4 more girls lol
Karla Coto Most meats won’t last that long. So they’d have to be vegetarian or the meat would have to be cooked the day of.
Mariah Kaye all the better
or how about they'll make their own recipe and make it themselves then eat each of the recipes of one another for a week
They never finish off their videos in a nice way. It always feels very cut-off and like something is missing.
I see what you mean but not alway do they end that way I just think it’s this video that didn’t properly end
I never realised that my family meal prepped until the whole meal prepping craze came...
I thought it was normal to cook things and store them😂😂
I'm a Potato SAME!!!
Life as an Asian
Wait people eat out this frequently????? We literally cook food and store...
Same😂 I’ve always done that on Sunday evenings
It's odd to me that meal prepping and cooking in general is considered to be something most people don't do. Here, where I live, everyone cooks their own meals every day (or they meal prep) Also, to me, $6 a meal is expensive.
Elyse Schroder Most people cook for dinner but not lunch or breakfast, sometimes dinner too though. Cooking for the whole week seems like a task because what if one wants something different?
Zariyah Rakari I wouldn't say most people. Going out for food is a once a week MAYBE twice per week thing for the majority of people I know.
Where do u live?
When I used to live in NYC, I never cooked. Ate out breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I was working crazy hours so I had no time to cook during week days. Also with so many amazing restaurants in the city it made sense to eat out.. I would occasionally cook on the weekends and have friends over. But grocery wasn’t cheap either since the closest grocery store was the Whole Foods... factoring in labour and cost of grocery it was more practical to eat out. Most of my friends in NY never cooked or meal prepped so I think it depends on your life style and location.
Same here and I live in the heart of Seattle! I eat cereal or oatmeal for breakfast every morning and I meal prep lunch and dinner (or I make something super easy like pasta, sandwich, quesadilla). Assuming 30 days in a month and 3 meals a day, I average $3/meal. I eat out AT MOST once a month and it's usually for dinner. I meal prep because it also saves me time. Spend 30 minutes cooking and you can have dinner for a week. Now I can go straight home and eat right away - no having to fuss with a restaurant.
I wish I had the patience to do this
I wish I had the friends to do this
It is soooo worth it...Just set aside a few hours once a week and you are set for a week or 2.
I don't know how my mom has done this for so long. She takes her Sunday off and makes meals for the week. I want to take my Sundays to relax.
How do you not have enough patience? You just cook food & stuff it into multiple containers that last through the week. A kid could do it.
Ellie Does Life I
Did Freddie just say $30 delivery charge!? For what? Does that include the meal you’ve ordered?!!😱
I think it was an exaggeration, or already including the meal :)
I've had a meal swap group for a while now, we each choose from vegan/chicken/beef/breakfast and make 5 seven person serving portions of 2 separate meals and swap, they're all freezer meals so you can pop any of them in your oven or crockpot any night or day you're too tired to cook, and theres always enough for 2 days out of each meal. Ita great, and it's usually only 50$ to make 10 extra meals if you shop right.
I love food but hate cooking. I think it's so much harder to cook for one person as well. I have a couple of recipes that I just rotate 😂
omg same, i feel like anything you buy is portioned for a family of four. I also don't eat a lot so things usually go bad and i hate wasting food.
I love food, I love cooking, but I hate cleaning 😂
Cíara Dunphy how is that even possible? Take chicken thighs, roast with potatoes, or steam with vegetables, or chicken stirfry, chicken soup etc etc. Same for other meat, and dont forget omlettes. Infact everyone should have a steamer, you can even hard boil eggs by putting them in with other items in the food compartment.
You would love having a slow cooker then. Just wake up, toss some things in it, turn it on, come back 8 hours later and BOOM! Awesome food!
Jacklin yes,ive got one,brilliant! Especially for soup,stew,porridge!
In my country we cook every meal (?) this video is so weird for me like, where i live this is not a challenge it's life 😂
Sara G M same in my country. I have a dinner plan for whole week. Sometimes I cook it day before so I can just heat it up,or I choose something quick to prep. There are so many meals you can cook quickly,I find it a littlw strange they make such a fuss around it
I live in the United States, and this isn't even close to a challenge in my household. I live in a tiny town, so eating out is rarely an option
they live in LA, so it's not unreasonable to understand why they have the habits they have. it's going to vary from area to area
I'm from LA. We don't often eat at home. Even since I moved from Cali, my husband and I still eat out frequently. Plus, we're the typical lazy Angeleans -- we don't want to cook, but we don't want to go out, and there's no real food delivery here, so we just don't eat, instead. I've had a green smoothie for breakfast, and a cup of tea for lunch/dinner. This is not abnormal for us.
It’s not an American thing if that’s what your thinking but more of a LA financially comfortable thing lol. There are just soooo many different, tasty and cool places in LA to go out and eat at that we find ourselves doing that more than cooking. Like I literally went out to Cheesecake yesterday, Yardhouse today and plan to do crab tomorrow lol. Mind you I have a pantry and frig full of food😂😂 eating out or on the go may be LA culture. Any other LA resident can relate?
How many people are scrolling through the comments to wait until the intro is done
I love how they are talking about meal prep and I’m over here making myself Ramen noodles
Ladylike there are 7days in a week not 3. Would have liked to see a whole 7 days of meal prep and details of practicality such as re-heating and freezing
lisha jayne just enjoy the video, if you want to do this urself, then look up the recipes that they used
Every time I see devin she has on that shirt.
It’s so cute tho.I would probably wear it all the time too!!!
probably records a bunch of videos the same day
yeah,probably so👍🏾
Tete Rose Queen or the white shirt that says feminism
Tete Rose Queen not true
Tete Rose Queen iiiii
This is one of my comfort videos and idk why
Same
Same!!
Freddy: I didn’t do anything...
Also Freddy: gets everyone to validate her and how much work she did
3 days is not a week
Emma Griffiths *cough* the weekend
But like, was it Lady-tested and/or Lady-approved? The people want to know!
I need to know!!!! lol
That's why the ending was so weird!
Devin: If my house is stocked with good drinks, good games, good food, I never have to leave the house.
Me in quarantine: Little did anyone know.
" I have gotten really friendly with the trader Joe's frozen food aisle " GURL who hasn't
Kayan Yousry we don’t have a trader joes where I live
IDoMusic ? Same
Me but I've never been to a trader joes theres none by me
I just realized that women in Asia is so strong. Our moms do that 9 to 6 job and manage to cook meal for the whole family lunch&dinner. And keep house clean. 😢 They're amazing 💜
Ailin Ell not just women in Asia
Ailin Ell not just in Asia...pretty much most of the parents..
Every mom does that
Omg ok
Yeah that's moms in America too. And that's the problem, NO ONE should be expected to do ALL of that, I don't know how women live longer than men, you'd think they'd die of exhaustion all the time...
ladylike goes vegan for a week!!
This sounds like such a good idea
Chantel is vegan she can be their guide or something
7 days vegan challenge(solves all your problems) (baby)
yasssss
but Chantel is vegan anyways so
Janvi Gounder yeeeeee
Teachers: a week is 7days
Ladylike: a weeks 3 days!!😆😂😂
They mean the week...So like the rest of the week.
Jen was wearing the t-shirt devin bought her!
?
Georgia Hildenbrand in the devin and Jen swap styles video
Devin has a stranger things poster.... I love her even more then I did before 😍❤️❤️❤️
Kiwigirl 813 I was about to comment that! Lol
WHERE??
greeneyes❤ 5:50
You have to unpause and watch Jen for a fraction of a second if it’s 5:50
Perhaps look at 5:51?
ah I see it! Thanks haha I love stranger things
Am I the one that enjoys cooking but in the end doesn’t feel like eating the food I prepared? Hahaha especially when cooking for my family
GP Personally, I enjoy cooking but I hate cooking for my family. It's probably because they're like 8 people and some of them eat for 2 so it's more of a cooking for 15
GP yeah 😂
this is my curse! I think it's genetic lol my mom is the same way
Omg me too
Saaaaame. I will be so eager to eat when I’m cooking. Then by the time I make everybody’s plate and clean the dishes I’m not even hungry anymore lol
I batch cook pretty much everything. It's a bit of a faff when you make a whole load of meals in one go, and sometimes I'll be cooking for the best part of a day. But then for about 2 weeks I don't have to do literally anything beyond bunging something in the microwave. It's great! And soooo much cheaper because buying ingredients in bulk is often cheaper, especially with stuff like meat. Love it!! :D
May I ask where you're from? I've never heard 'faff' or 'bunging' before.
FiddlebirdBlue I'm from the UK. Faff means when something is fiddly and time consuming (in this context anyway) and if you bung something in the microwave (or anywhere for that matter) it's done with no effort of finesse 🙂
back here 5 years later
My mum and I do this as I work nights, so we’ll make things like curries, lasagna, roasts etc. and put them in the freezer. I just take it out of the freezer in the morning and heat it up for dinner - it’s so easy and then I don’t end up getting take away instead!
I can't understand that people would eat out all the time ! I love to cook, I cook for my sister and my self, every day. Accept to take a bit of time, it's like meditation *_* I plan most of my meals for a week when I shop, and that way I save so much oney (we both are student and spend about 200euro on food a month). Also I am french, so maybe it changes everything xD
Sparot_art it doesn't change, I'm American I food prep every month. My bill is a little over 100. I cook for myself and a family of 6 (including myself) twice a week. This includes all healthy items including catering to a few vegans. I love to cook and even go as far as making mostly everything from scratch. I'm 25 by the way. Happy prepping!
How is your bill only a little over a 100? We spend almost $200 every week at the grocery store for 5. And my parents are vegetarians(borderline vegan). lol I guess maybe prices are more expensive by me? any tips would be helpful though :)
Ah well I am happy to reed that ! I get pretty scared when I see adults not knowing the base of cooking T_T
I generally like cooking (but hate meal prepping for a week), but being disabled, and having 2 young kids (who have their own disabilities as well) AND a husband who works from 5am to 6pm, it's not always fun to stand over a stove for 30 minutes with children screaming and stopping me every 5 minutes to help them. That said, we still don't eat out but twice a month.
Youpi une française! It seems so weird to me too, when I eat out it has to be planned in avanced so I can manage my budget because eating at home is the NORMAL option to literally everyone I know. The only moment I regularly eat out is when I'm visiting a new place.
i just started meal preping to cut the cost of lunches when me and my bf go to work so we will usally pay for or buy microwave dinner and then have basically home cooked lunch or on a lzy day buy lunch then eat the meal prep for dinner , i try to do 5 days with 2 diffrent meats so for instance to cut time on cooking ill do 2 chicken and 1 pork dish. ill also try to use the same veggie or side such as rice or pasta to cut down on cooking so if i know im makeing rice for one i may do a fried rice or a risotto for the others
is UA-cam broken? this was made 2 years ago with only 3 comments :/
* Eliza * yeah. I think UA-cam is having a few issues. I have looked at Channel pages that have 19.5 million subscribers than I check back up to j it and it says 2 million.
That was when the ladylike videos moved to as/is, and they forgot to transfer the comments or something
$30 DELIVERY CHARGE?!??! My bf and I had food delivered the other night (for the first time in months, maybe a year); delivery was free and the food was €15. And I live in the Netherlands, which is NOT a cheap country.
Its through an app called postmates, the app will literally pick up any type of food for you (like mcdonalds, or a fancy restaurant) so the fees are higher, its like Uber/Lyft for food. Typically the only places in America that deliver are Pizza Places and Chinese take-out places and they have a minimum charge plus you tip/have a delivery fee.
Free delivery??? Please, the US left that behind in the 1980s. There's *always* a delivery charge *and* a minimum order. So, if I want some crappy Chinese food delivered, I am going to have to spend at least $30 for one entree. $5 for delivery, $20 minimum order, $5 tip.
BelaayyasMusic “left that behind in the 1980s.” Okay...? You can fuck off now.
If we have delivery fees it's usually less than 5 euros. We can order via a website that will pick up the food at various places as well.
I lived in the Netherlands for a year....it is a very very very cheap country when it comes to food
I actually prefer cooking then buying junk food and instant meals . It feels like you can just personalize it more to your own personal taste ????
I buy semi-processed foods and personalize them. Like store bougth lasagna pasta and sauce, which I add spice and veggiest to etc. Or pre made pie dough, which I fill myself. I save so much time, and it still allows me to add the flavours I like!
joanna *than
joanna instant meals can make me feel quite unwell next day. I make most things from scratch, its a creative process.
joanna I have freezer meals you cook on a stove because I can’t go out and buy that stuff to make it yet. Also it would be just for me and one of my sisters.
Same! Also it is a little harder for me to eat out because I am vegetarian though.
Omg I'm obsessed with Jens voice!!! Especially when she says "great " gah!
Omg Mike’s eyes are SO GREEN!
My family cook from scratch every night, unless we go to a restaurant for a special occasion
Katie Riley #DaAsianLife is exactly the same
Katie Riley oh
same last time we went out was 8 months ago
Deep
Same here! 'Meal prepping' sounds so weird because I just cook every night?
Your rich LA girl is showing, guys.
rainfrog so what
Right! $6 per meal?? I have a family of 5 - $30 per meal is insane...that’s $90 per day. Did anyone do the math here, because that’s over 2k/month in groceries 🤔
I don't want to be THAT person but....
*she got that rich girl LA vibe* ;)
rainfrog I'm hovering at $2 a meal and still struggling
Well they have money so why not treat themselves with whatever food they wanna eat, they can afford it so why not?
If anyone ever chewed like she did at 5:43 id slapped them... No hesitation
jake i literally almost threw up, i’d wire their jaw shut so they could learn how to CHEW SILENTLY
THANK YOU
I hate it so much
SAME! i actually would i slap my sister all the time and one time i slapped my friend because we kept doing it even though i told her to stop
I know everyone has their pet peeves...but sometimes you gotta just mind your own business.
Would love to see a full vegetarian meal next time! Love you ladies! Thanks for the great laughs!
Great video but NOOOOooooo! 😔 Don't use those plastic containers! Think of the planet 🌏 (and the chemicals).... Invest in glass containers x
They are quite pricey though.
They might reuse them? At least I hope that is the idea, the plastic seems quite thick. Especially for one time use.
Karlijn S - I have those exact containers. They get me about 10 uses before the plastic starts going wonky.
Or Steel containers!
BelaayyasMusic 10 uses? 🤤 I have some 15year old tupperware that's still going strong!
Great video! I thought I haaaated cooking until I started doing meal prep. Now I only cook on the weekends when I'm relaxed and not starving.
It’s 2020 and I’m still watching these vids. I love them!!
Thanks for keeping it real! We’re all about that and let’s be honest cooking everyday is tough. We appreciate the easy to follow ideas!
$6 is a lot for a meal made at home. Lol
Nicole Alynn California Trader Joe's prices, my dudes. Plus they bought salmon.
Nicole Alynn they also.have like steak and good proteins
No it’s not lol
Not at all tbh lmao
Well I'm in college and I 100% agree that it's much too expensive😂 My peanut butter, raspberry, oatmeal dinner comes out to less than a dollar.
I consider $6 a meal quite expensive....
Erica Purr maybe shopping at aldi and not buying two bottles of wine helps 😂
Just a random channel LMAO good point
it actually is, i meal prep a lot and each meal is like 2 euros (roughly 2.40 dollars) :/ bitch i'm a broke uni student, i can't make stuffed meatballs and salmon!!!
trader joes is cheap though. meat is pretty expensive so probably cuz of that
It was probably because they made meat and vegetable meals, If they had a bigger focus on carbs it would be cheaper tbh like steak and salmon aren't the most budget friendly items...
Theres a couple of buzzfeed videos that I actually enjoy. This one is one of em
I feel like I’m going to meal prep things like these when I go to high school next year, school lunches are sad but I’ll probably bring a small salad too
This has surprisingly got me so motivated to cook 😂💓
As an italian (but I think as a non-american) I don't get how this is a challenge.
Rina Berardi I'm from Croatia and my family usually cooks lunch the night before. Then in the morning you just pack it up, cook additional sides if needed and you are ready to go.
yeah.. but you still cook it
Rina Berardi we'll I kind of have to since take out here can go up to 10€... and daily that's just too much and too pricey. I can buy ingredients for like 3-4 meals for that money.
I was looking for this comment because I too cannot relate to this video
they're la girls
In Nairobi, Kenya, we go to the market on saturday and get whatever is in season. That's what ends up on the dinner plate for the next week. And yes, we cook every day and work and go to school in the evenings, take care of our children and brave horrendous traffic jams! Its a matter of organisation.
Meal prep is such a life saver; I've been doing it for years (not consistently, but for a sizable portion of the time). Plus, for those of us with health problems, it's a great way to make sure we're getting all the nutrients we need + none of the stuff we don't! I'm living in China right now, and navigating a new culinary palate has been made SO. MUCH. EASIER. through meal prepping.
the fact that everything in the us is packed in plastic, even their homecooked meals, makes me and all the dying species cry a little
You mean their lunches? Its common in the US to buy lunch containers which are plastic to wash and reuse and can typically last a few years until they start getting cracks in them from a dishwasher. How else can you package food so it stays fresh for a couple of days?
You can get glass ones too. Those are special meal prep containers they are using, which you just wash and reuse.
Not everything is in plastic here. I buy my vegetables not wrapped in anything, and whatever else I need I buy in bulk. I try to avoid plastic as much as I can. But yes, a lot of Americans would freak out if they didn't have their food in plastic.

I live in America and I actually have never seen anyone use hose type of containers for like storing food it is usually plastic containers or bags but the bags kind of state your point
Mike's eyes are so green they match his shirt perfectly...
This video totally made me hungry lol the food looks so good.
I'm doing this for college. If I stay in a dorm, when I come home for the weekend I'll do this and then somehow try to manage microwaving the meals so I have so good food through the week.
Each meal is SIX DOLLARS? Are you kidding? Thats how much Id like to spend on food for the whole day... I thought meal prepping was supposed to be cheap!
HoneybeeWhisper they bought salmon, steak and like 5 different vegetables. You can do it a lot cheaper than what they picked out
Also Trader Joe's can be pricy for certain items.
I manually priced it. It's just under $6 per dish, so $2 per meal, roughly, assuming you subtract Devin's wine habit and the excessive cheese left over.
LA doesn't look like a place with nice prices...
The cost of living in LA is more expensive than many states.
Devin, is so CUTEEEEE 😩😩😩
I meal prep everyday. It's healthy (depends on what I do), cheap and delicious. I also often eat leftovers for lunch.
I love cooking. Its fun and a destressor for me. I especially like making bread because of the kneading part (major stress reliever 😁)
$6 for a single meal is very expensive
Maybe it's the meat?
But it’s most likely cheaper than eating out
Miss Amanda's world it’s probably because they went to an expensive store
cheaper than eating out tho.
lol that's what I was thinking
All Europeans watching won’t find this a challenge
Diekje that is SO true. Mcdonalds and stuff is something for a special occasion that your parents would take you to every once in a while, and also, $6 is bloody expensive for a meal :O for €6 my mom makes food for the 5 of us xD
random question but how did they keep the food fresh over the weak? especially the meat?
or all people who don't waste money on food
Tangina Taiyeba in the freezer
Britt Blablabla €6 is not equivalent to $6. Plus, they live in an expensive area of the USA. What they bought would not cost me $6 per meal. It would cost me less where I live.
Plus...they're kind of...you know...big city girls with lots of money who eat out everyday because they can. The general public, like me, has to cook and eat at home most nights simply because we can't afford to do anything else.
i love the way how jen said sauce omg so cute
I started watching this channel and it reminds me about the try guys. I enjoyed this video.
omg!!! Mikes eyes are BEAUTIFUL!!!
Now try "Lunch School Foods" ...That would be fun to watch
My first college roommate and I would meal prep 3-4 meals each per week and then swap half of the servings! We each had a budget of about $200 for food a month. I loved it!! It took a while to figure out a routine and figuring out meals that we both liked but it was so worth it.
Omg surprise pot luck meal preps with friends! Awesome idea.
I feel like Mike lost a lot of weight
Min Suga yoongi 💜
*mike drop* ed all that weight
"Only" $6...
Jebbie Cavanagh they've been eating out all the time. $10-$30 a pop. So yeah, ONLY $6
That’s not even expensive
It is like steak, salmon, asparagus etc. If you prepped different meals you could easily make it a lot less.
Salmon and meat. I spend 6 eating at school an can barely ask for a nice piece of chicken
Try eating out.. it’s gonna cost at least $12
This has inspired me to try meal prepping. I’m a healthy eater but I have trouble with portions. And I’ll get a chance to hang out with my best friends ☺️
I really love this ep! You guys are so adores!
How are people saying 6 dollars for a meal is too much? Am I like in some other planet or what? That’s expensive?! What did you expect it to be $1.50?!🙄😂
Depends, is it for a meal or for a serving? 6 dollars for a meal is a-okay, for a serving it is outrageous unless you buy super expensive food.
Genesis Adams yeah I mean it’s LA folks, where it takes $10 to get into the beach and 30 minutes to get out!
My meal prep meals cost about $2.50-$3.00 and could be cheaper
If it's $6 per serving, that's $126 a week per person on just food, with no snacks. ($6×3 meals × 7 days)
That is just not attainable to a lot of people!
For 6 bucks, you can get a foot-long subway sandwich where I live which is 2 meals approx. So, it's definitely on the higher side. I think 4-5 dollars would be reasonable. It's maybe because they are having salmon. Lentils and chicken are a lot cheaper.
well i mean i guess if you make them with your friends it's fun
I put my mom on speakerphone or put on Netflix or some music and it's fine. Not a laugh riot, but entirely pleasant.
its 5:51 am im hungry and i want meatballs and steak AND the salmon but i know im just a middle schooler who can only use a microwave and im allergic to fish, goshdarnittttt im hungryyy
Haha. I'm 33 and im still in the same predicament.
Make it with chicken instead it will still taste as good as the fish and it won't offend ur whole class ha ha
This is such a good dinner idea, I want to do this!
That is NOT how you should chop parsley Fred! You could cut your fingers so easily!
TanninArceo ok, this is the one “negative” (using negative because I can’t think of another word) I’m ok with because it’s constructive criticism
This is a PHENOMENAL idea!!!! Now I have to find/create a vegan food prep group!❤️😌
I've watched this so many times I love this video
How I miss this channel and these people
Slightly flabbergasted at the amount of plastic used 🤔😢
Jaypat74 it’s not like they’re throwing it out after
I get that, however just like most Ladylike videos this is probably not something they will continue, it's just for the sake of the video. These containers also don't last with extreme temperatures, not to mention are terrible for your health if you are freezing and heating in them.
Just shut up
In the info part it says that the containers are reusable if it makes you feel any better!
MANYBARKINGDOGS haha! Yes you're too right. Easy to get hung up on what others are doing, but just gotta do my lil bit. Thanks for your input! 😊
I love cooking so much but I have a tiny kitchen (about 10 sq ft) and I HATE grocery shopping
I love cooking and try to meal preps whenever I can :))))
I love how Jen makes meatballs at like 9am
I love cooking tbh❤️
Mike has the most beautiful green eyes tho
I should try but I'd probably not but cheers to New year's 😂
Meal preping *for a week*
Meal preped *for three days*
Ah yes this is right
Alaina Carroll it says “for the week” not “for a week”
