- Here's how to fix a transmission gear from an Axial SCX10 crawler.
In this video you will see the components of the transmission and how to disassemble and assemble the transmission.
The original transmission operated for about a year. This car has been driven in deep mud, cold conditions in winter and steep ascents and descents. Suddenly there was a rattling sound from the transmission and the car stopped running. When I opened the transmission I noticed that one of the gears had worn badly.
Shout-out, helping me over 2 years later.
Great video, I just experienced this issue on my SCX10 II and will be opening the transmission today to inspect. I think it is likely the same gearset is worn.
Epic channel! I subbed!
Hello - thanks for the video! Can you tell me the make and model of the wheels and tires on your Jeep, please?
Hi! GMade 1.9 SR02 Beadlock Steel Wheels. Tires are Pro-Line Hyrax Predator compound
Good stuff!
Thanks!
Hey man how have you like your scx10 ii cause I was thinking about getting one but wanted a buyers opinion first? And also were did you get the roof rack for the Jeep Cherokee body?
I think SCX10 II is a little too slow. I like the TRX-4 more because it has more power for difficult off-road driving. The SCX10 II is still a very good crawler that I can recommend.
The roof rack raises the car's center of gravity quite a lot. Nice looking but the car is no longer so stable. The roof rack is from eBay, some universal roof rack I found.
@@RCCrawlingFinland ya I already have a trx4 sport and it is absolutely amazing at crawling but I wanted another crawler as a backup but thought about trying something new and the scx10 ii caught my eye with the detailed body but wanted a owner’s opinion cause I’ve heard so many different things (good and bad) about them on the internet so thanks for your opinion.
Should be upgraded, to machined gear lasts forever..lol
