Do you have to shim between the teeth so its not pinching? Also, is there grease that needs to go on the teeth before closing up? I saw some from when you opened it.
You use a piece of paper in between the gears for proper mesh. I grease everything on my crawlers cause I run them in water. Thanks for watching and don’t forget to subscribe if you haven’t already 👍🏻

It will go faster with a gear change. But I think it would take a lot of gear to do it. Thanks for watching 👍🏁
How do the plastic gears hold up on 3s and is there much of a difference in speed running 2s?

What's the difference between the 87t Spur and the 56t Spur please? I'm still running stock 87t Spur with 27t motor and 2s lipo..

A 56t spur would give you more speed. You want torque in a crawler. Thanks for watching!!!
pop a 15t pinion on it and that should speed it up just a little bit more. I tried it on my 10ii trail honcho and it sped it up a bit.

Yup nice work bud. Boy. if I had a dime for every time I have taken a transmission out of these axial rigs.. lol Just a note too, that if you want a little more wheel speed with out changing the motor. You can increase the size of your pinion as well. But keep a close eye on motor temp. Nice work bud. Thumbs up
I figured I wanted to do this once so I went with the motor. I didn’t want to do a pinion then get it to hot and have to change it again. Thanks for watching 👍🏁

Are you going to try and get more wheel speed with more mods> Maybe a gearing change? Reminds me of the Redcat Wendigo which seems to be overpowered for crawling but fun for the type of trailing you do. I like having some wheel speed on my SCX10 II Honcho. Thanks for the tutorial Bro!
