I can't seem to open the door that connects to the long hallway with the blinking and moving lights, next to the room with the blue and red switch behind glass. Could this be a bug or did I miss something?

You know, I'm not sure if there has ever been an Icarus video that didn't mention Touhou at least once making me wonder what the deep Mr Icarus VS Touhou lore is.
Honestly that would've been super cool. Love ODST for what it is but in a perfect world it would've been given more time in the oven so they could've fleshed it out more with ideas like that (and also tweaked the gameplay so you actually FEEL like a normal dude instead of just a reskinned Spartan)
Also. Icarus. Chainsaw on the Mini-Pinkies. It works wonders for ammo conservation. The pistol also works surprisingly well, especially if you can funnel them into a narrow space. Chainsaw also works great if you can funnel them, too, and costs zero ammo.
This looks both like a map I really need to play and one that I should play on easy. It's great seeing people still innovate with maps for this game. Really gives me something to point to when people ask for advice on how to get started in making games.

I genuinely do not know how you mamaged to get yourself this short on ammo, but thankfully(?) it only ended up working to the game's favor in showcasing all the creative shit it lets you do. Superb mod. Loved it all (most of) the way through.
I gotta say, this is VERY impressive and I NEED to play it now! I hope the author does more maps, cause they have serious talent and should use it to give us more top tier maps like this one cause there aren't many out there to this standard....well, not enough of them!

This is a Doom map like a cooking show. I REALLY enjoy watching someone else cooking some good stuff, but i never would start to cook this by myself. I simply do not have the patience for those trickier sections.
This is a very cool wad that is a better example of "weird Doom" than the nonsense that was myhouse.wad. Having very "un-Doom" things like destroyable environments and raising transparent bridges yet keeping the core gameplay the same is a perfect example of how to do that kind of wad. Most notably, combat is still the centerpiece and the combat is not easy either. This definitely deserves a Cacoward.
I love Doom, I think the Doom modding scene is awesome, but sometimes I wonder why some of these mods aren't made for Duke 3D. The Build engine was just ID Tech 1 cranked up to 11, for better or for worse. I get the novelty of getting the Doom engine to compete with and rival much newer and even modern games, but Duke literally had platforming and destructible wall panels!!! I'm just jealous. @@RikouHogashi You'll mostly suffer because of the lag. The numbers here aren't anything special by themselves, and a decent HDest player wouldn't have too much trouble with small hordes of imps. The issue is the fact that a lot of enemies in HDest means a lot of AI calculations, which means a lot of stress on your PC
Looks super cool. As a La-Mulana fan i love complex masochistic design. Sadly bigger games more often then not don't have the balls to abuse the player like that. Have you tryed Lorn's Lure? Playing it right now ~70% in and i think it's my game of the year in combination with Frogmonster

Sometimes, creative talent joins a weird collab with trolling, and the result is usually a firm skip, no matter the sparkles that the talent part tries to show off with. Because...time, because Id Software, and because there are hundreds of properly tested maps that are based on just the creative talent, where any nonsense never passes the UAC face control.
I hate to sound rude I do think this map was really well made, but optimization was all over the places. Also, PSST if this map uses 3D models which it does in a 2D game being Doom make sure you put on Rendering Interpolation or it will run like molasses. GZ Doom 4.10 lets you uncap the frame rate to 500 FPS.
while the map was cool, it goes to show that we are reaching the limits of what the doom engine can handle, this map is barely playable on current computers.

It has more to do with how awful the optimization of GZDoom is, something the dev refuses to do anything about in any meaningful way.
