Update 4-11-23 I ordered this unit based on this actual review and used the link provided in the description. Do I like it? For $105 give it take shipped with tax you get what you pay for. Not bad for a starter unit that will be good for a hand me down to a family member. Not bad for a unit I can transfer to other random cars. Concerns. Power button on top isn't working or is lost and you're forever tapping until it finds it's click. The screen isn't multi touch so you can't pinch to zoom. It's literally 1 finger touch and the reviewer should've caught that. Boot up time into Android auto is long but acceptable. Brightness is only 4 settings. Would've paid more for darker brightness setting. Driving into the sun results in a reflection on the screen. Not concerned. No cable management included. So the weight of the cables are held in place by the type c port. That's a lot of stress on that port by itself but I can manage that myself. Sticker of the brand was installed upsidedown. This unit can not be mounted upsidedown. Overall would I buy it again? Based on what I'm seeing on AliExpress the pricing is competitive and you get a lot for your money. If they can stay at this $100 price point it's acceptable with the offered features. I would consider it again as I want one mounted permanent in my Sprinter van. I don't mind paying more for a better unit. 7 out of 10 If this was $120 with fees and shipping I wouldn't buy it. Date of this posted March 2023. Update 4-8-2023 The company still hasn't gotten back to me about the addressing the power button. The front camera shakes while driving around resulting in a bummy video that you can see on screen while driving. I drive with the front facing camera on. If I hold the protruding front camera with my fingertips The bummy image stops. The Bluetooth to factory auto jack sound quality is so dry it makes unbearable past 50 percent. The unit itself works. I'm still happy with the idea but the execution could be better. 4-12-23 I still haven't heard back from this company about fixing my power button not turning off the screen. I sent another email to them. Overall the unit still works. 4-14-23 Thanks for your information. We will let our engineer check for you.will reply you within 48 hours. This what the emails me. @@aayushbhatia3278 correct it auto starts into it without touching. It goes to either apple car play or Android auto. At the very beginning you just need to make your selection of either apple or Android in the settings afterwards it remembers everything. 6-14-2023 it still works fine.

you can also use old phones and connect the to the PC via app. This is if you have a camera on your phone that is 4k or higher (40mp). If your not concerned about getting higher video quality then this would be great to use for recording DIY projects

I had one once, it worked perfectly, and then it got stolen. (I would rather he smashed my windshield than my passenger glass, because the car inspection at the end of the year will have to be replaced) The 3.5mm audio cable has a lot of interference, I believe it is because the power interface is not well shielded. other than that, I am quite satisfied, this product is the best at this price point.
Given the placement on the dash I would be concerned with being pulled over for obstructed views. This would be a great option if they removed the camera from the back and added an additional camera like the rear one. This could then be mounted behind the rear view mirror. Eliminating the concerns of obstructed views.
Obstructed view, meanwhile the police have an entire ass Panasonic toughbook riding shotgun... Not to mention the humongous computer monitors the car manufacturers are putting in from the factory.
@@rustyshackleford81 There is a difference between distracted and obstructed. The computers cops use are a major distraction if used while in operation of a vehicle. And yes the monitors being put into new vehicles could be considered a major distraction. But since they are below the dash and the line of sight to the road, this would distracted not obstructed.
As far as obstructed view. That would really depend where you put the device. You'd have to choose a place where it can go that doesn't obstruct your view, or don't get it if the laws in your area don't allow it.
I permanently installed this in my Z4 with a custom fit 3D printed fixture. CarPlay works, reliable. Screen quality is less than average. The sound is terrible, which is surprising since it’s probably the easiest part of the design. I mean, it’s mono, that tells all. No EQ to try tweaking it a bit. Distortion comes early. The sound is ironically better through FM than cable but still bad. Rear camera connection never worked, customer service didn’t respond.
damn this is actually pretty amazing, it's strange how much technology is evolving, back in 2016 when I was looking at dashboard cameras all expensive options were shitty LOL! but now for only 100 euros you can get a good looking screen and a 4K camera? damn! also you should try playing around with the 2.5K and 1080p recording options, those should support 60fps
I am not sold on this for $50 more I can get a radio with all the features that this device has without it working as an FM receiver for audio from my phone. The one particular radio that I am not going to list off also comes with a built-in amp for better audio quality. Yes It does take a little installation but the Amp makes up for the work sense it combines the device into the headunit.

Ordered one March 30th and got it April 9th. Installed into 2014 VW Jetta and works well so far. I wish they had some instructions on how to wire for the auto reverse camera. There's a red wire at the camera side of the harness but no directions on what to connect it to. I suppose it ties into the reverse lights but with only one red wire does it tie into the positive of the neutral?

Just bought this. Do you have any idea on how the wireless Android Auto works? The bluetooth name never pops up in my phone and can only get it working by plugging the phone in. Also the settings reset when it reboots so i have to go back into settings and switch it back to Android Auto every time. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Just got one. Is the FM audio supposed to be of atrocious AM quality, or did I get a bad unit? I have a cheapo audio-only BT-FM transmitter that sounds pretty good, so I know it's not my setup.
2G ram is a downside too. At the moment best to get one with at least 4GB ram for stability. The Flash is only 8GB, too small too for Android OS, best 32GB for future updates,.... The design on not able to take out and permanent stick is not goodbecause you need to update or troubleshoot at home in case anything not good.
Beware Seicane is a very shady China based company. Their units aren't the greatest quality and beware warranty isn't worth 2 peso's/cents point is that the warranty is worthless. Don't bother paying for larger memory or storage options. They likely won't ship that and then mock you for buying it. As you point out they misrepresented screen resolution. I have no doubt they've misrepresented other specs.
@chetanpatel5462 I have/had a Seicane in dash Android 9 unit specifically for my 2007 Honda Accord EX-L w/ Dual AC (the purported onscreen display of climate (temp/fan/mode) never worked) . it was supposed to have 64GB storage. What I got was 32GB. Because they had it listed as 64GB but showed an image that showed only 32GB which was cheaper. They had taken the larger price and delivered the lessor product. Shortly (within months the capacitive touch buttons volume, power on the left of screen quit working. After a few more months, the GPS sometimes didn't work. Now, 3 years old, it no longer works the video driver for the panel went out. I've put the original 6 CD changer/ XM/ AM/FM/DDUAL ZONE CLIMATE HEADUNIT BACK IN. Their customer service is crap, once they have your money your screwd! My best advice RUN AWAY FAST

Depending on the vehicle. Some new vehicles have 14” or larger displays, and some dont. I think this is more likely targeted to older vehicles…Apple CarPlay first appeared in around 2016. So anything older will benefit from Apple CarPlay and android auto.

Do you have an opinion on the Seicane vs Carpuride vs ATOTO you have reviewed? I know the Seicane is the cheapest and the Carpuride is currently twice the price but still not out of reach affordability wise.
Let's see if I can summarize it. ATOTO: I really like the matte screen. No reflection and easier to see in the sun. I like the little remote so you can mount it further away. Software also works well. I don't like the clump of wires in the back, but the size of the screen is great. Carpuride: High quality, responsive display, but it's reflective. I don't mind it too much, but people seem to care. Much better wire organization behind the screen and easy to mount. The 9" is a bit large for my taste unless you have a big car. I would go with the 7 inch version. Probably the fastest. Seicane: great value for money. I like that it's a slim design, fits in more cars and doesn't block the view as much. Thicker wires, but the split is further down, so it's manageable. More or less permanent installation compared to the other ones. Software works well, connects fast. Hope that helps!

Honestly looks good but the audio output quality is so poor in my car, I have new speakers and the audio transmission to my radio through fm and aux, is so bad, I would give it a 2/10.. Very poor audio quality and for some reason they would not accept and take it back. When i play music directly from my phone through the aux, it sounds way better.
Can you power this device with a usb a to usb c cable? My car has a usb port as well as a aux port or do you have to use the cigarette lighter port only?
I literally have the same one I paid some guy $60 for a brand new one and I also didn’t want to have wires everywhere - I wanted it to look like it was built into my car, so I literally just super glued that shit to my dash and put the cables alongside the dashboard where it blends in with it and it was the best $60 ever, I don’t recommend super glueing it of course but i know it’s something I want there permanently and even if I do end up removing it later oh well 😂 just a idea for ya I drive a 2013 kia optima ex GDI btw also use a sunshade to protect from overheating and what not

Nobody doing reviews of this will answer. They all say it will do it but never show it. I bought it off the back of them saying it will screen mirror but I don't think it does. Let down by the company and by the youtubers. Wasted my money.
Is the plastic base flexible, or are felxible adaptors available? My dash has very little flat area as it is mostly curved. This just looks like a perfect option as I don't want to get a new head unit for the car. I think you will find the screen is pixel equivalent to 1080p because of the aspect ratio of the screen, being limited in its height.
Can you tell me the dimensions of the screen. It indicates 239mm wide x 193mm tall, but I think the 2nd measurement is not right. I need to know if it will fit it into a recessed window of my car’s nav display. My navigation / built in unit broke and Acura wants $1600 to fix it.
Double checked and yes, you can mirror your phone to this device. Go to settings, tap Mobile LInk, then switch from Apple CarPlay to Apple AirPlay. Go back to the main menu and select Screencast and connect to the WiFi. Then on your phone, pull down the menu, select Screen Mirroring and select 'zj-airplay'. Works great, wish I could attach a picture here.
Hi, I bought the same model and unfortunately, the sound quality is horrible, even when plugged in with the aux connector. The other features are great but without proper sound, it's useless.
@@SimpleCarGuy I've done all the tests I can. Vary the volume, adjust the radio's audio settings, try FM. I use the device for navigation only with an old dedicated phone, for music I use Bluetooth direct from my phone.
My Bluetooth is paired but somehow doesn't automatically go to carplay even after clicking ok.. If i want to use the carplay only connect to the Bluetooth right? doesn't need the connected wifi on the car

I have a few of questions. I use a Samsung phone. Firstly, does it have Google Maps and does the Satellite Navigation Directions work in the same way as on my phone? Can I deactivate hands free call through the device in order to still make calls through my car audio system? BMW Z4 E89 without I Drive. The dimensions on the Seicane website says it's 239mm wide by 193mm high. Surely the 193mm high is incorrect. What are the actual dimensions?
If you use a Samsung phone, you can use Android Auto. That means whatever apps on your phone are approved for AA, they will work on this device. It's basically screen mirroring from your phone to the system (I suggest seeing some videos on Android Auto and how it works in general). On the iPhone, you can select which device is used for calls and which is used for music, not sure about Android. Thanks for watching!

Dude it's like 3-4 inches tall, I'm sure most cars have a decent mounting spot.

Depending on where you mount it it could block your view quite significantly.
I mount mine in the center. It doesn't block my view at all.

Happy with the one I put one in 2008 Highlander. Too hard to put in a head unit and connect to JBL amp. The rear camera wire is too short tho.

Does the audio play from your car speakers or the device when playing music?
Just got one. Is the FM audio supposed to be of atrocious AM quality, or did I get a bad unit? I have a cheapo audio-only BT-FM transmitter that sounds pretty good, so I know it's not my setup.

These will be a hot item when GM removes CarPlay from their vehicles.
2G ram is a downside too. At the moment best to get one with at least 4GB ram for stability. The Flash is only 8GB, too small too for Android OS, best 32GB for future updates,.... The design on not able to take out and permanent stick is not goodbecause you need to update or troubleshoot at home in case anything not good.

Beware Seicane is a very shady China based company. Their units aren't the greatest quality and beware warranty isn't worth 2 peso's/cents point is that the warranty is worthless. Don't bother paying for larger memory or storage options. They likely won't ship that and then mock you for buying it. As you point out they misrepresented screen resolution. I have no doubt they've misrepresented other specs.

@chetanpatel5462 I have/had a Seicane in dash Android 9 unit specifically for my 2007 Honda Accord EX-L w/ Dual AC (the purported onscreen display of climate (temp/fan/mode) never worked) . it was supposed to have 64GB storage. What I got was 32GB. Because they had it listed as 64GB but showed an image that showed only 32GB which was cheaper. They had taken the larger price and delivered the lessor product. Shortly (within months the capacitive touch buttons volume, power on the left of screen quit working. After a few more months, the GPS sometimes didn't work. Now, 3 years old, it no longer works the video driver for the panel went out. I've put the original 6 CD changer/ XM/ AM/FM/DDUAL ZONE CLIMATE HEADUNIT BACK IN.
Their customer service is crap, once they have your money your screwd!

It's mainly meant for CarPlay and Android Auto, but you can still use it as a dashcam and as a music player, I guess.

Depending on the vehicle. Some new vehicles have 14” or larger displays, and some dont. I think this is more likely targeted to older vehicles…Apple CarPlay first appeared in around 2016. So anything older will benefit from Apple CarPlay and android auto.

No, it doesn’t use Bluetooth for streaming to the me car. It connects to your phone via Bluetooth and then AUX or Radio to stream to your car.

Do you have an opinion on the Seicane vs Carpuride vs ATOTO you have reviewed? I know the Seicane is the cheapest and the Carpuride is currently twice the price but still not out of reach affordability wise.
Let's see if I can summarize it.
ATOTO: I really like the matte screen. No reflection and easier to see in the sun. I like the little remote so you can mount it further away. Software also works well. I don't like the clump of wires in the back, but the size of the screen is great.
Carpuride: High quality, responsive display, but it's reflective. I don't mind it too much, but people seem to care. Much better wire organization behind the screen and easy to mount. The 9" is a bit large for my taste unless you have a big car. I would go with the 7 inch version. Probably the fastest.
Seicane: great value for money. I like that it's a slim design, fits in more cars and doesn't block the view as much. Thicker wires, but the split is further down, so it's manageable. More or less permanent installation compared to the other ones. Software works well, connects fast.

Honestly looks good but the audio output quality is so poor in my car, I have new speakers and the audio transmission to my radio through fm and aux, is so bad, I would give it a 2/10.. Very poor audio quality and for some reason they would not accept and take it back. When i play music directly from my phone through the aux, it sounds way better.

I don't like exposed wires on my dash, also that SD card is going to be hard to access when your trying to put it in or take it out.
I literally have the same one I paid some guy $60 for a brand new one and I also didn’t want to have wires everywhere - I wanted it to look like it was built into my car, so I literally just super glued that shit to my dash and put the cables alongside the dashboard where it blends in with it and it was the best $60 ever, I don’t recommend super glueing it of course but i know it’s something I want there permanently and even if I do end up removing it later oh well 😂 just a idea for ya I drive a 2013 kia optima ex GDI btw also use a sunshade to protect from overheating and what not

Nobody doing reviews of this will answer. They all say it will do it but never show it. I bought it off the back of them saying it will screen mirror but I don't think it does. Let down by the company and by the youtubers. Wasted my money.

Is the plastic base flexible, or are felxible adaptors available? My dash has very little flat area as it is mostly curved. This just looks like a perfect option as I don't want to get a new head unit for the car.
I think you will find the screen is pixel equivalent to 1080p because of the aspect ratio of the screen, being limited in its height.

Can you tell me the dimensions of the screen. It indicates 239mm wide x 193mm tall, but I think the 2nd measurement is not right. I need to know if it will fit it into a recessed window of my car’s nav display. My navigation / built in unit broke and Acura wants $1600 to fix it.
Sure. I measured the screen to be 9 1/2" (~240mm) wide, 3 3/4" tall (~95mm) and 4 1/2" (~114mm) tall with the stand. Thanks for watching.

It has 3 screws holding the stand in that can be removed, but it does not look like any kind of standard I’ve seen before.

No, this is for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto only. You can check what each supports if you haven’t used one before.
You say in the video it can mirror to show videos or movies. Can you show how it can be done.
You can mirror your phone using AirPlay, but you can’t play UA-cam or Netflix directly. I’ll double check tonight and let you know where to go.
Double checked and yes, you can mirror your phone to this device. Go to settings, tap Mobile LInk, then switch from Apple CarPlay to Apple AirPlay. Go back to the main menu and select Screencast and connect to the WiFi. Then on your phone, pull down the menu, select Screen Mirroring and select 'zj-airplay'. Works great, wish I could attach a picture here.

You have to lower the volume on the decide and turn up the volume on the car, audio is great

Hi, I bought the same model and unfortunately, the sound quality is horrible, even when plugged in with the aux connector. The other features are great but without proper sound, it's useless.
Lower the volume on the unit and raise the volume in your car, sounds great then!
@@SimpleCarGuy I've done all the tests I can. Vary the volume, adjust the radio's audio settings, try FM. I use the device for navigation only with an old dedicated phone, for music I use Bluetooth direct from my phone.

If you use a Samsung phone, you can use Android Auto. That means whatever apps on your phone are approved for AA, they will work on this device. It's basically screen mirroring from your phone to the system (I suggest seeing some videos on Android Auto and how it works in general).
On the iPhone, you can select which device is used for calls and which is used for music, not sure about Android.
