ATTENTION!!! Guys do not use their original mount that blocks your view driving. I bought 2 heavy duty magnet phone holder that attaches to your AC vent in that way and stick my wireless carplay to it. And won’t block your view and to avoid accident.
That’s what I’m going to do as well. So much safer.
You have means to position it in a way that dont't block the view on majority of cars, people have been doing this with phones for years. Attaching holders to the vent will not only block the vent but will also probably break its fins (it has happened to my prior car).

I bought this from Amazon-direct, from your recommendations and how it would fit in my 2014 CX-5. It has an ‘entertainment’ system but cannot be upgraded. I wanted Car Play. This unit worked well when connected initially. Connected easily, adapted to the aux in in the car. Next drive, the touch-buttons were way off.
Touch screen is way off for selecting items. Touch the desired item on the screen, touch command shows up to the left about 3”. Cannot select ‘Factory Reset’. Fail. Return
Had the same unit. Unfortunately it stopped working after 6 months.

I mean, the same way as before? You just go from the station for this device or AUX to your local radio station. Same way you’d switch sources on the car before.
Got this device but when I use the AUX cable to my car stereo people cannot hear me when on phone calls. I can hear them just fine. When I unplug the AUX cable and use the built in speakers on the device then it works just fine. Any thoughts?
You have to select internal mic when using the Aux as Aux would just be for output

you need to have cigarette port which has power when you turn the key; you can run your own wire (from example from factory radio), connect it to usb charger and then connect this screen

Just bought this - I'm plugging in to a 12v usb outlet. There is no indicator (Green lightning bolt) that shows it is charging. When I plug my phone in, i get the lightning bolt. Does this mean that my phone is charging, or both the phone and unit are charging? How do I get this to charge?
This unit does not have a battery. It’s charging your phone.

Think the plug just needs to go in in a specific orientation. 2 more questions- if I use the aux cable- how do I select that? That is not listed with the other options- fm transmitter, etc. and - if I use fm transmitter- are the only options for channels the ones shown? How do I get others? Thanks

Bought the 7” device , problems were the voice directions for navigation did not work using CarPlay. Bluetooth connection kept dropping. Device came in on Friday and I returned it for my refund on Sunday from Walmart , very disappointed
Was it the same unit/brand? I used this one for a week or so and never had any issues.

That’s probably why. I have tried another 5+ of these devices and didn’t make videos about as they were crap. The brand and models matters here.

You can get a splitter or you can just use a USB cable if that's an option. FM won't work as well either as the cable has built in antenna (I believe)

Get a hardwire kit for your camera, it gets power from the fuse box and frees up your 12v socket.

Mirror nor car play with work with those services. When you mirror it locks up the device and you have to unplug it.@@meetdamien

Good morning! I am hoping you can help me. I bought the same unit 2 weeks ago, and as of today, I've not been able to pair the phone with the unit, I have an android cell phone. Can you please take a minute and tell me how to pair the unit, what to do on each unit so they can pair? the instructions say to look for car.... something in Bluetooth, code 888888, but I can't seem to be able to put the code or get it to work.
