I love this series, it shows the true craftsmanship and artistic expression that goes into each and every one of these beautiful guitars. Anxiously awaiting the next installment.
I lived there for almost 30 years before heading out to Colorado. Gibson leaving Kalamazoo started the downturn in Gibson quality and craftsmanship. Most of the best luthiers at the factory stayed in town or stayed at the factory that became Heritage Guitars.
Kudos for showing the reality of a "Go-Back" ES guitar getting touched up. It was strung up with hardware. Also, showing how these craftsmen have to fix burn-throughs and such. Even at this scale of production the challenge of perfection remains. It's nice to see that guitars aren't leaving the building in rough shape as they have in the past.
I'm loving these, well done, Gibson. It's a pleasure seeing the craft and the people. Just got a goldtop and somehow, I'm sixteen again, 20-something years later.
@@JakobSlash Still just a huge slab of mahogany and the neck is like a tree trunk. It's the Snow Falcon V. I have Gibsons too, just wanted to jokingly diffuse the mystery 👍

i bought a Gibson Les Paul standard 60s 6 months ago and I got to say that I am very impressed. It is very beautifully crafted, it has a fantastic finish and it sounds like a dream. I think you did a really fantastic job with this lineup.
I was supposed to go to Nashville this year on vacation. The trip got cancelled because of COVID. Of all the things that you can do there my main goal was to visit Gibson.
I love watching this series. I hope the heII they are paying Jim DeCola three times more than he asked for during negotiations. Gibson’s gotta be enjoying this resurgence and if you know Jim, you know he’s a man that not only KNOWS his way around the guitar factory/shop, but knows how to build pretty much EVERYTHING. He builds teams, morale, loyalty and oh, I almost forgot...he REALLY knows how to build beautiful, impeccable, high quality guitars! Rock on guys/gals, Gibson USA is back in the game!!🤘🏻💯💕💯🤘🏻

I was a fret filer at Gibson in the late 90’s, but for some reason they put me in buffing one day. It was kinda scary buffing around the pickup and control pockets. Sure enough, as soon I started to relax a little, that wheel grabbed one of those pockets and threw an SG across the room breaking the neck right off. Glad they didn’t keep me there longer than a day.
I hope your going to start using Indian Rosewood on the R8s again. I have 3 2018 R8s and a 2016 Standard T I play in a band and have a shop. Fingers crossed the real Rosewood makes a return 👍
I can't wait to order my standered 60s been saving for a year. Being a first responder I think we offer quality. My grandfather owned a gibson my cousins owned gibson mandolins. Its like getting into my family history. Thanks for sharing.
I appreciate you all and your quilty you put in your product. Made in America means something its a standered you all hold. Hopefully I will beat this covid-19, I contracted at work. One of the hazards from the job. Your videos have been helping my quarantine. Being away from family and friends isn't easy. Stay safe gibson family keep quilty in the USA 🇺🇸.
I really like my Epiphone Les Paul Plustop Pro, but I do long for a Gibson LP. An old friend had a wine red deluxe LP that was the best guitar I have ever touched.
I own 6 Gibson guitars . The three I have bought since the new CEO are great . 1959 60th , Flying V and matching explorer . My only complaint is my Flying V didn't have the Gibson inlay logo .
This would have been the perfect opportunity for us to finally put an end to the VOS Finish debate! @GibsonTV! We, the people, demand to know! Is it something that's put over the guitar, or are you just skipping the final buffing stage. It's been over a decade and still no one actually knows!
When will the factory, specifically the Custom Shop, start shipping again? Have had an order that is done and sitting there (according to my dealer) since a week before the shut down? Put a label on it a ship it for goodness sake😎
Someone didn't buff my 2020 Gibson Les Paul Studio very well, it came to me Dusty finger prints and LOT'S of Scratches all over the Top. WHY you not do your job in QC Correctly? $1600 Dollar Brand New Guitar 🎸and the neck needed Truss Rod Adjustment, Intonation still off? I could have sent it back, but for one it was made in February 21nd a day before my then 61st Birthday and two I was afraid I get a worse Guitar. One more thing, why a Gig bag?
I absolutely love this series! Reinforces the fact that Gibson guitars are made with care and skill and it’s an honor to own several!
Thanks for watching
I have appreciation for all these workers. It really is hard work but their results are just superb. The guitar really comes alive.
They’re oozing with pride in their work.
All of those Les Pauls and SGs!!! The two coolest electric guitars ever made.

invrecT The guitars are just fine. And they had some suspect guitars when they were in Kalamazoo as well.
Then they fired him and all his coworkers, moved to Nashville and started making subpar guitars. All part of 'The Process.'

It's hell, take it from a factory worker.
Especially if you need your back scratched where just can't quite reach!

I’m surprised they don’t have hood units over the buffing stations to suck out all that dust.
