Out of the park! It’s freaky how often I am kicking around a topic in my mind and then within a week or two, you put out a video relating to it and help me answer all my questions. Thank you so much!! Love your videos and the help they provide my small business 🖤🖤
Hi Wade!! I love your work as per usual ! But I need your help Here’s my Question! So I just received a great opportunity to collaborate with a bakery that has a huge following! They want to collaborate with my business to recreate their mini cakes on a dessert candle. Wholesale Pricing is my struggle, I don’t want to price too high not do I want to price too low. Ex. $15 8oz candle They’re requesting 66 candles as of now for 6 candle for 11 of their flavors. Cost $15x66= $990 What would you recommend I charge this company. To of course make a profit for my business and keep this relationship going for future opportunities?
I'm kind of with you here. While starting my business venture, my brand is unique in a way that there is a story behind my theme. So it's very special and in some ways personal, as the art and everything is done by me. So white label and wholesale are my opening routes. If not forever, then at least for now.
This was tremendously helpful! I'm not there yet, but was unclear on the differences. Congratulations on your successful business! 👏 Please keep sharing. 🙏 Thank you!
Thank you once again. A while back you did a fundraiser video. I was wondering if you could do a video about the process. Like keep orders organized, how people can order, ordering supplies.
Dear Sir, after watching your videos, I can see that I can learn everything in the candle business, I am planning to start making candles, but unfortunately I don't know English, so I can't even understand what you are talking about. I thought it had subtitles in several languages, at least one in Balkan, but it can only be played in English. I use google translate
Great content! I am so glad that you did a video on this. I feel like there is not enough correct information about Wholesale, White Label & Private Label, it's so hard to find. This really gave me a lot of information to questions that I've had. It's made me realize that I'm not as ready as I thought I was and that I need more planning before I start anything like Wholesale. I'm not a candle maker, but I make other products and I follow your channel because of the sound advise that you give. You're such a blessing!
Thanks so much Margaret. Glad some of the content helps you even for other products. When it comes to business stuff.... Handcrafted products are all quite similar. :)
Love watching your videos and all the information you give to candlemakers... I am wanting to know what type of plastic container I can use to and use to master melts better cut up and the small cubes so I can sell a samples... I've been reading that some plastic cylinder containers can pull the scent out of the wax.
Hey Chris yes that is true. But honestly. It isn't something I do a lot of yet so I'm not really sure. But I'll look into that and do some testing when I can for sure. A
I have the ability to produce a lot of candles (I have a coogar and the space to make 100’s of candles), but I don’t know how to go about finding white label customers. Is there some resource I can look into?
Hi Wade, thank you so very much for a fantastic video. Thank you so very much for clarifying the difference in types of wholesale options. I am wondering if there is a wholesale contract or service agreement template between the supplier and the wholesaler. If you have an idea where I could get that I’d greatly appreciate it. Thank you so very much.🙏😁
Such a helpful video thank u!!! Quick question tho, for private labeling- by law am I still required to have my info “manufactured by blah blah” on the warning sticker wether the client wants that or not?? For liability purposes ?
Great video. I wanted to ask you, you've probably mentioned it before, but how do you do your labels? Do you have them made or do it yourself? My wife and I are starting up and are looking for the most affordable way to start our business. Thanks for any advice
Hey Jayson. Sorry for late reply. This got buried somehow and i just saw it. I design my own labelz, yes. But usually have them printed by various labs like uprinting, stickermule, lightnings labels etc. But I will print basic ones myself
Ahhhh. Darn. Good question. I should have discusses this as well. I'm not a huge fan because it's much more difficult to manage and you REALLY have to trust the business. But there is a time and place for it for sure
Regarding white label, is it possible to have a different for formulas just for white labels? That way you can sell even to friends because it’s not your exact formula.
Your video is a great help, very informative. I'm a buyer and I am planning to do White labeling but I kinda wonder, if I won't get sue for launching the same product? is there a way to avoid that? thanks!
I think you are referring to private label which is different. Private Label is exclusive to that company. White label you can still use and sell that scent they just have their label on theirs
Hello Wade. Thanks for a great video. Do you agree w/ a certain price point per candle with your wholesale customer so it doesn’t hurt your direct sales?
Hi Wade. I have an opportunity to do a white label for a company. I am wondering if I need to include the safety labels and other info that needs to legally be added to each candle. Or is it assumed they will include the information. ? Thoughts?? Thx! Catherine.
Personally....I add the warning labels myself. And if they want custom ones they can send them to me or I'll purchase and charge them. But I add them myself. :)
@@catherinenelson-wind2951 It depends what they plan to put on their own labels. Most will just list their website though, and the website provides the remaining details. Its a very gray area

Thanks for the THOROUGH breakdown!

Might be because it's a slightly older video? Not sure. Google/YouTubr automatically adds subtitles and captions so I'm not sure
it's not worth it, I should have learned earlier :)@@BlackTieBarn
Awesome tips Wade, thank you as always!
❤️
Amazing information, thank you for taking the time to explain this thoroughly ❤
Glad it was helpful!
This came at the perfect time for me! I'm currently doing research on the business side of things. Thank for sharing this :)
Absolutely. Thank you! :)
Excellent video - thanks for pulling this together, Wade!
Np Brendan!
Super helpful. Will be re-listening when I move into more than retail.
Thanks Kim!
This has been extremely helpful. I absolutely love your videos I'm learning so much

Great video filled with helpful information!
Thanks!
I wonder if anyone knows where is the video where Wade discussed how to set up the Sticker Mule Label Dispenser?
Thank you so much for this video. Great tips. ⭐
Thanks!
Thank you so much for this information
Np!
Very helpful! Hopefully not a dumb question but in doing Wholesale, would I keep my labels on my product? Or am i sending product without labels?
Yes with labels if wholesale. Without labels is more like white label

As far as I am aware...yes. most put on warning label
How do you market to get white label opportunities?
I don't see the newsletter link. I'd love to subscribe
Oh my... so sorry, I forgot to link it in this video. I just added it... here it is as well. Thanks!

I ask that they don't sell under my price. But for white label... it doesn't matter as no one knows its my candle anyway. Lol
I want to buy candles from you please, white label
For white/private label does liability get split or still on the candle maker?
Really depends on the contract. Thst would be a better question for insurance and business attorney but a great question
@@BlackTieBarn Thank you for the feedback!
Iv seen net 30 of net 60 alot on third party wholesale websites. What happens if that company doesn't pay by the contract date?
Typically a fee. Like 3% for example. I also require 50% up front. And the other 50% before shipping.
