If the video looks washed-out, turn off Hardware acceleration in Chrome. I have no idea why this happens.
What a historic treasure... It deserves to be fixed up and turned into a museum of how beautiful Cleveland USED to be....
We NEED to preserve whatever old glory of Cleveland that's left.
In 1892, Corliss Sullivan, Chairmen of the Central National Bank erected a two story 6,300 sq. ft. home on Millionaires Row. With increased commercial development along Euclid Avenue, the residential nature of the neighborhood was altered and the home was acquired by the Sons of Italy who converted the home into their lodge. In 1935 they constructed a 7,000 sq. ft. ballroom/hall and a 7,000 sq. ft. social area to the rear of the house. It was later the site of the Colosseum Entertainment Center.
If memory serves me right I think this was a "club" in the 70's & 80's called the Colosseum. It had cool huge stone lions in front. Its in great shape. I thought it would be trashed. Thanks for the tour!
I was wondering was this the place with the lion Thx.
@@denisebrazile8339 your name sounds so familiar. Did you ever work at JCP?
@@leppel22 No
The address is 7218 Euclid Ave. Hanna Realty has the for sale listing
Hopefully its being renovated and not torn down! A treasure for sure!
I was lucky enough to get one of those glass wall chandeliers that you showed at 2:25 and i got the original doors on the front in the inside of the house as well as a couple of others. I was offered those wood cases that are built into the wall at 3:51 but you had to rip them out to get them. They would not survive it. I wanted them badly as I know that they went under the wrecking ball. By far my grandest memory is going there for parties back in the late 70's and early 80's. That hall used to host big cabaret parties that I used to attend. Its sad they tore "The Coliseum" down last summer. It was built back in the the late 1800's by a millionaire. He added the back ballroom in the early 1900's.
Thanks for sharing! I love hearing personal stories of these historic locations!
They should have fixed it up and turned it into a museum, for east Cleveland to make money 💰
I grew up in this house. Such great memories
Wow i meet my husband there in the 90's so many memories 😆
It breaks my heart
I wish l had a chance to c it , it came and went b4 my time , now all l have is these pics from my cell phone
GOREGOOUS HOME, NEEDS TLC. LIKE EVERYTHING IN CLEVELAND DOES.
I worked on the production crew for some the last concerts they had there in the late 90's. I remember carrying heavy speakers upstairs. Not fun. Thanks for the memories.
Cool video man. 👍 I leave in cleveland area. That is a pretty big mansion or whatever you call it. Has some history to it. 👍
"I remember this house, quite well. THE COLOSSEUM!"
What I could do with that house. Thanks for sharing and be safe.
So much potential. Someone needs to do something with it.
Awesome Thnx
The room you called the big room. We called it the upper hall
Sad to see such waste . Thanks for the video.
Nice i live at The old Stockbridge hotel. They apartments now.
I love that building you live in I’ve made lots of deliveries there, I would love to see inside more of it
Currently a developing company owns the building and cuyahoga county has been granted permission to demolish the building. If you live in the area get to see it while you still can!
Great vid i don't live to far from here.....background music sounds like somethin outta left 4 dead
I'm surprised this place isn't totally trashed or burned down
I would love to get the chandeliers. If they are original
I would love to get the chandeliers
Dang haven’t seen it in years on inside since it was closed down
Must have been a great place at one time. Too bad it fell so bad.
What is the music in this video. I love it.
Love the music
As of right now it is a memory. They could not find a buyer and it was demolished. And the money it would have cost to repair the damages done by vandals was more than anyone wanted to invest. Pity there are no BEFORE pics only after pics. I think apartments are going to be built in its place.
nah i dont miss pacman never even played it
1:50... new way to think about... the term HOME THEATER.
She's a tear down
This Estate would cost MILLIONS to "RENOVATE", let alone keep up!!!! Such a SHAME!!!!
Not sumptuous
Just big
The fireplace in the front is fake. You can push it back and get from the front to the back.
Who owns the property? Cuyahoga County?
A developing company. There are plans for it to be demolished hopefully.
PAC man machine still there
what is the address?
Pearls before Swines..........😢
I mean I live in cleveland area lol 😂
You don’t want to live in the Cleveland area!!! It’s a ghetto slum
Not all parts!
in Bratenahl?
Right downtown between some buildings
Neither Bratenahl nor Downtown. Midtown
Could you provide some history of the building via narration?
I added a link in the description of a good write up on the history of this house done by Cleveland Historical.
Reclaim some bricks - make a cool house some where else. idk?
What were we being shown? Makes no sense.
Too bad it went to hell
Do you know what white balance or Iso is? My guess is no. This is one of the worse videos I've seen uploaded and it was just done this year. Please learn how to film before you post something else this bad. Don't look at this as me downing you, but rather as a way to improve.
Marc, for some reason I have noticed the video is way overexposed on some devices and and looks the way it was intended on others. I have no idea why, it seems to be a UA-cam thing. Thank you for your constructive comment.
