- In west Cleveland stands the notorious Franklin's Castle, where various ghouls and werewolves have been spotted since its construction in 1881. I think someone spotted a mummy there once in like 1985.

I have a story I want to share with you. In the mid 80's some friends and I were intrigued by this building. We would take the opportunity to look at it from the street and sidewalk but as that was a close as we could get that was all we did.
One evening we were looking and I thought I saw a figure in a long dress lean out one of the turret window and look back at my friends and I.
I immediately thought that the talk of ghosts and other spooky stories has fueled my imagination so I dismissed what I saw. That was until the girl next to me asked "did you see that?" Not trusting myself to agree without leading her to respond I asked "what". Without any influence from me she said, The woman leaning out looking at us in the long dress.
The others who were with us were all guys, and they did not see anything, but the other girl and I did see the same thing.
I do not know if anyone else has seen this, or if there is some sort of explanation, but even decades later, still remember that evenig.
Was the woman from this window? 4:36
No, I believe the one below - the one with the iron works in front of the window.

Such an intriguing beautiful castle, so nice to see someone bring this historical piece of art back. Thank you!
I am James Romano, and my father Jim Romano lived in the castle when he was younger, I know you may not believe me but If you look at other videos the man with grayish hair is my dad.
I know Romano
I was in that castle when I was 18 years old the castle was phenomenal back then all kind of secrets to the castle brought my dog there and flipped out
I grew up on the west side of Cleveland. I was fascinated with Franklin castle as a kid and still am as a adult. I took my daughter to see it and she loved it too . When I was a teenager it was a big dare to go sit in front of Franklin castle. I would always take the dare.. I can tell you there is more to fear from the living than from the dead . Thank you for the video I have always wanted to see inside
Lynn .D- In THAT neighborhood, you need to fear the living!
I live in Cleveland Ohio and I drive by the Franklin castle all the time and I love how it looks
Oh, Lawd Jesus!!! Dat place has Ghosts and Stuff! Ain't nobody got time Fo' Dat!
Lived across the street and like 3 houses east of this place for at least 2 years. I’d park my car on that side of the street a little east of it. I’d stand outside that place constantly hoping to catch a glimpse of something. I never saw or heard anything. All those houses are old. I’ve wanted to believe in ghosts but never have I experienced anything. They either stay away because I have the curiosity or there are no ghosts. Which the later seems to make the most sense. Very cool castle though.
Cant wait for ghost adventures episode on this castle this febuary 27th
I remember walking past the house as a kid and there was a lady in the window wereing black 👗
Which window was it? I’ve stared at that house in every window for multiple minutes dozens of times because I lived across the street from it. I unfortunately never experienced anything other than the occasional street walker asking if I wanted to buy drugs. Some of those people were scarier. I do wish I saw a glimpse though. Unfortunately I live on the other side of town now. At least I can say I tried. Even my old house was built in 1893 at the time they still held funerals in houses. There was a section with a pew and all that in it. Never even saw anything in that house. I want to believe but maybe they know I want to see so they leave me alone? Or there are no ghosts. Who knows?
use to drive by it all the time always woundered what was inside
Thanks for posting. A quick yet through primer on this castle. I think my parents stayed overnight there once. They used to live in the neighborhood.
An acquaintance of mine, whose name was Juray, owned and tried to update that house in the 1980's. He said he never saw or heard anything out of the ordinary.
I hope someday the house can be restored.
Cincinnati here
Shawty that house is full ghosts it's even scary across the street . Old lady Tiedaman is still there.
I was in the attic or upper level as a child, the castle was open for Halloween, The ceiling is very high up and I was on my fathers shoulders. I felt something touch me. I looked around and saw nothing that could have caused it.
I went there before. Not inside.
I lived four doors away from Franklin Castle and believe me that place is haunted. you can see people staring out of the windows at night and hear people screaming from inside when there is clearly no one there. as kids we dared each other to spend the night in the lawn and most of us never made it through the night.
squatters😂
How is the restoration going? Are you personally still there. Such an amazing building in architecture and history it would be really cool if it was opened as a museum to that family in the surrounding city.
I really just want to see this house restored.
You shouldn't be adding special effects and apparitions to what is supposed to be real.
My husbands grate uncle Sam muscatello was one of the owners in the 70s he was the one who found the bones in the house
MUST WATCH
Actually I'm an Empath you still hear music coming from the ballroom and see shadows of figures walking around the upstairs from across the street
My grandma use to live across the street from it
That shit was creepy
Why's the castle cursed?
Cleveland Ohio or Cleveland Tennessee
Ohio
I knew I seen a woman in a white dress on a couple holloweens ago
Is it possible to sleep here for a night?
I keep reading how people spent millions of dollars remodeling the place. Really? It looks gutted to me. As for all the ghost stories, BOO! Whatever....
