    Oh yes, it's cold outside.
The Drywall Doctor takes some time to show how to clean some of the more complex drywall taping tools indoors and now wanted to show how he takes care of some of his topping tools; specifically an EZ Clean Pump and Flat Box. It's pretty simple and can save your butt from freezing outside while still delivering a good enough clean to keep your equipment in good shape.
We demonstrate the best way to disassemble a flat box to brush and clean out the mud, as well as why you can allow a certain amount of mud to freeze on parts of your EZ clean pump (and a way to clean it if you'd prefer to get the mud out anyway).

Awesome videos always very informative. Would you know how I would take apart a mud pump when its stuck together. I’ve never unlatched it and pulled it apart. But now that I finally did it won’t come apart.

You need some hinged boxes much easier we run hot mud in them all the time so I went with hinged. And I love them

Do you clean/ hose down all your tools at the end of each day? Or can a flat box sit full of compound for a few days in a bucket of water so you can clean all your tools at the end of the whole job?

That must be so unbearable. In the winter my knuckles start cracking. And it only gets down to 10 Celcius.
