    Dr Cliff I’ve had 3 hearing aides so far, and my audiologist have never really shown me how to really clean my hearing devices. They with give you your new hearing aids and say here’s everything to clean them with. The little cloth and the little soft bristle brush. Then they’ll connect my hearing aids to my smart phone, but that’s as far as it go. They’ll then say see you in 6 months to a year. Your the first person that has had step by step instructions on what to do and how to do it right. A big thank you so much 😊.

    Awesome. Thank you. One question: how often should I replace the ear wax filter. Most cleaning should be every 1-2 weeks, but not sure if also meant the same for the wax filter. Thanks! Toney

    My mothers audiologist never told her about all this. SHe has that brush, but no detailed information like you're providing. I'm seriously pissed right now... and glad that I found your video. I guess I'll be visitng the doctor with her next appointment.. So, those rubber pieces come right off and you can easily clean inside? What is the MOST important part to clean? Is there an order? from most important to least? Thank you kindly. I subscribed! :)

    I also have the tail that helps hold the receiver in the ear. I find that the sleeve for it that slides on the receiver gets dirty. I slide it off to clean it. Biggest problem is making sure I get it back on correctly.😁 Glad I don't produce much ear wax.

    I use audio wipes to clean the ear mold and body, a Jodi vac for the vents and wax traps (rarely replace them) and finally a Dry&Store to dry and disinfect overnight. I should check the mics more often. Just replaced the dry&store for a Redux Home drying system, only use it once a week as recommended by manufacturer.

    When you remove the old wax trap, should you insert anything into the hearing aid to get the wax out before putting the new wax trap in? I’ve never seen any wax attached to the old trap when removing it, so wondering if there’s an extra step that I’m missing.

      I clean many hearing aids at my job. I have seen wax make its way beneath the wax trap. It's all very small, so a magnifier may help. I use a pin to gently work out any debris I see before installing the new wax trap. Often, though, the wax trap appears totally clear and any buildup is limited to the domes or microphone ports.

    Can you use Barbicide Disinfectant to disinfect the ear domes? My hearing aids seem to make my ears sweat, mostly my right ear. Also there is a little crusting on the outside of the ear.

    I have a mastoid ear mold that gets liquid from my ear into the tube that goes to the actual hearing aid. How do I get that liquid out? My hot box does not do the trick. I am unable to pull the tube apart at the junction (which would make it easier to clean). Can you make an updated video about how to clean mastoid earplugs?

    The information content of this channel is useful, even interesting. I can't help but notice, though, that the request for a Like should be done at the end of a video, not at the beginning prior to the viewer watching it.

    • @liyonsmith8284
      @liyonsmith8284 Рік тому +2

      This makes sense logically, since the ask would come after showing the value of the content, but too many people drop off the video to make that worth it. So instead he's asking for support for the channel broadly, not an assumption of the value of this video. This way people who already know the value of the channel actually get the reminder, so it works. I hope that makes sense!

    I've just started using a hearing side. I love it because it cancels out the real loud noises and I no longer get migraines or have to use my construction head gear when I travel. My supplier did not take the time to show me how to clean it and I've already gone back because I thought it was broken. It's sad to say I've learned more through this video than the person who gave me the hearing side. I'm still not completely use to putting it on correctly.

      Yes nearly all hearing Aides both analog and digital and computer hearing Aides have 1 to 6 microphones for one hearing aide . Some Behind the Ears hearing Aides have 1 microphone to 6 microphones . And some Behind the Ears hearing Aides have ears molds have a Power Microphone . And some In the Ears hearing Aides have 1 to 2 microphones and some Hearing Aides that goes deeper Inner Ears hearing Aides are called The Invisible hearing Aides have 1 microphone . And I don't know anything about cochlear Ears Surgery hearing Aides .

      You have to call or go live in person Hearing Aides dealership Audiologist AuD Professional Hearing Aides Center wherever you got your own hearing Aides from and asked them . And asked Professional Hearing Aides AuD Audiologist Dr.Cliff . I been wearing hearing Aides since 5 years old in 1970s born premature baby 3 months too early 75% deaf in both ears . My first hearing aide was a small spy radio looking hearing aide with a 1 AAA battery powered hearing Aide with one corded ear plugs and the hearing aide box was a size 2" inches square by 2" square box without any speaker built-in ,it only has adjustable turning thumb knob power on and Volume control . But better than a GIANT Longhorn Horn 📯 connect to my ears sticking out LOL 😂😆 .

    My wife creats an excessive amount of ear wax, and has profound hearing loss. I can't find an airvent,and there's no rubber dome to remove. Replacing the wax trap was the first thing I tried. You need a special tool, the receiver looks like it is inside the mold itself. I tried to fix it myself, she ended up needing a new ear mold. The audiologist she went to retired, and closed his office. We went to several audiologists, non of them will even attempt to clean or repair them. We can't afford the ~$4,000 to replace them, they're rechargeable. What's going on? HELP!

      Your own Professional Hearing Aides dealership Audiologist AuD should have some in you called them wherever you got your own hearing Aides from . Unless you got it online or mailed . Professional E.N.T. = Ears Nose Throat doctors and nurses Center probably can order it for you or the Deaf School . Or the most Professional Hearing Aides AuD Audiologist Dr. Cliff can recommend whatever you want .
