I would much rather deal with conflict but for decades have endured misery as he describes and for all those reasons. The “forced” gatherings the “guilt and one sided spousal attacks”. You know like when a relative targets your spouse leaving you out of the discussion and you end up in misery with your spouse or in-laws and you are left feeling like the “selfish one”. When actually you were not considered but just expected and worse over looked. Wish this was known decades ago might have helped so much and now my grown kids have seen this take it’s toll. But we have stopped this what I will even call a curse. It’s very unhealthy and we can look back and see the way family was made into an idol. Seems like there’s a command not to do that.

Children do not ruin a marriage. It is the parent(s) that cannot cope with their traumas and slowly erode the relationship with their lack in dealing with their issues!
So true! Sadly I think a lot of people don’t realize how bad their trauma is until they have kids.

We are not to focus on ourselves and to love others. You may have given that poor soul the best holiday ever having something they never felt they had. And for the seat... just say that spot is taken but you're more then welcome over here. Are we all not family under God? Teach your kids to love. As for dates for Christmas sounds like there is a ton of focus on one's self and being the greatest instead of focusing on THE GREATEST. I'm sorry I really really liked this channel but have to unsub because there is just too much mixed messages

It was not radical acceptance of SINFUL behavior.
No. We meet them where they are at but use RADICAL HONESTY, patience, kindness, teach discernment, what Sin actually is and why GOD considers it Sin (Read Leviticus and Deuteronomy) and live as high integrity. High character, high morality based on Gods commands as possible as the example.
Just following Jesus is Love is not what Jesus meant.
We teach to convict the heart to create a new heart.
