Breakfast Crunchwraps | Blackstone Griddles

  • Try CJ Frazier's Breakfast Crunchwrap, inspired by Michael Andres of Griddle Crew! It's filled with crispy tots, savory chorizo, fluffy eggs, and melted cheese, and topped with tangy quick-pickled jalapenos and red onion.

    Ingredients
    Large tortillas
    Crispy tostadas
    Frozen tater tots (1/2 bag)
    Chorizo (1 lb)
    Eggs
    Shredded Colby Jack cheese (1 bag)
    Jalapeños (2-3)
    Cilantro (1/3 cup, chopped)
    Red onion (1/2)
    Red wine vinegar (1/3 cup)
    Kosher salt
    Coarse black pepper
    Olive oil (2-3 tbsp)
    Directions
    1. Preheat your Blackstone griddle to medium heat.
    2. Julienne cut half a red onion and slice up two jalapeños. Add them to a small bowl along with 1/3 cup of red wine vinegar, 2-3 tbsp of olive oil, a pinch of salt, and pepper. Mix well and set aside to marinate.
    3. Add frozen tater tots to the Blackstone and cook, tossing occasionally, until golden brown and crispy.
    4. Next to the tater tots, add chorizo and cook until done. About 80% of the way through cooking, create a well in the center of the chorizo and crack three eggs into the middle. Season with salt and pepper, mix the eggs into the chorizo, and cook until done. Add about a cup of shredded cheese (more or less if desired), mix well, and move the mixture off to the side when done.
    5. Place a tortilla on your cutting board. In the center of the tortilla, add a small portion of tater tots and smash them down. Top with some of the chorizo-egg mixture, followed by pickled onions and jalapeños, a crispy tostada, and a bit of cheese in the center. Fold the tortilla over the filling, using the melting cheese to "glue" the folds in place. Fold the tortilla in a circular pattern until it is fully enclosed.
    6. Return the folded wrap to the Blackstone griddle, folded side down, to seal the tortilla with the melted cheese. Cook until golden brown on both sides. Remove when done and serve with your favorite hot sauce. Enjoy!

    Hey guys, great channel with high energy! I love it! I thought I was the only one on the planet that randomly quoted movies and 80’s & 90’s pop culture. I just purchased my 1st Blackstone, the 22’ Adventure Ready. I haven’t used or seasoned it yet. I’m a little intimidated. What’s something simple I can do first to ease into it? Thanks!

    Made the chicken bacon quesadillas and the fam voted them the best meal of the week! Had them twice. This crunch wrap is on tap for next week. Great show. Blackstone cooking should be fun and not serious! And always with a full red solo cup.

    I just might have to do this for tailgating at the Pocono Nascar this weekend. I won't use chorizo tho, b/c my friends are worse than an effing 2 year old when it comes to trying different foods. Keep up the fun movie inserts, they're hilarious. How the heck do you come up with them? And I agree, Nate, stop adding stuff to CJs food.

    I received a 22 inch Blackstone as a gift on June 21, 2024. While assembling the unit a problem arose. Due to a manufacturing defect the grill would not fit onto the grill body. I notified customer support on the same day. They requested pictures of the problem which I sent that day. FOR ALMOST TWO (2) WEEKS I HEARD NOTHING FROM BLACKSTONE CUSTOMER SUPPORT. THEN AFTER TWO WEEKS THEY WANTED MORE PICTURES!! I responded that they had all the pictures they needed and should quit the runaround and send me the part! Today is July 8th and still nothing from them! They have the WORST CUSTOMER SUPPORT OF ANY COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH AND I AM IN MY 70s!!! Good luck if you ever buy anything from this company!!

      Yeah I’ve heard way too many bad things about the quality they use to build them and also their customer support is trash. I bought a portable griddle off Amazon. It is amazing. I made some cheeseburgers with it tonight, threw a fried egg in there. It was pretty good. Blackstone is overpriced for low quality

    Because chorizo has so many brands and styles I have a hard time with it because some are nothing more than glands and limpnoids and 90% of it turns into grease and very little product, tastes good but not what I want, 95% of what you find in west Texas is like that
