Copycat Bourbon Chicken & Steak recipe: blackstoneprod...
Ingredients
Boneless, skinless chicken thighs
Thick-cut ribeye steak
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 red bell pepper, diced
1 yellow onion, diced
Olive oil
1 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp crushed red pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp coarse black pepper
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup bourbon
1/2 cup water
1 tbsp vinegar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch dissolved in 3 tbsp cold water
Directions
1. Preheat your Blackstone griddle in two zones: one to high heat and the other to medium heat.
2. Pat dry the ribeye steak with a paper towel. Lightly coat with olive oil and season generously with kosher salt, coarse black pepper, and garlic powder. Repeat this process with the chicken thighs.
3. Place the steak on the high-heat zone and the chicken on the medium-heat zone. Cook the steak to medium-rare, then remove it to rest. Once rested, slice it into medium-sized cubes. Cook the chicken until done, remove it to rest, and dice it into small cubes.
4. While the chicken is cooking, add the diced bell peppers and onion to the medium-heat zone near the chicken. Drizzle a small amount of olive oil over the vegetables and season with salt and pepper.
5. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the soy sauce, garlic powder, ground ginger, crushed red pepper, vinegar, bourbon, and the cornstarch slurry. Mix well and set aside.
6. Once the chicken and steak are done, rested, and diced, add them back to the medium-heat zone of the griddle. Pour about 70% of the sauce over the meat and vegetables. Toss everything together and allow the sauce to reduce, adding more sauce gradually until all the sauce is used. You want a nice reduced glaze coating everything.
7. When the sauce has reduced, it's time to plate. Serve on a large platter along with your choice of rice and enjoy!

Great show! I have been following this channel for a while now and your show made me purchase my first griddle a 36-inch, I've done some of your recipes and they've been awesome. Thanks for your content and keep up the great work. Love you guys!!
Thanks for watching!
Comment of the week for sure!
Ok CJ I tried it with my own twist, and it turned out great. The family wants me to do it again. This is one you can make with different proteins and veggies but kept the sauce the same. I used shrimp instead of steak this time and summer squash and yellow squash instead on the peppers. Very easy cook.
Thanks for watching!
CJ , and your crew do an awesome job. Love your show . Keep ringing the bell. 👍👍👍
Ring it and Bring it!
That looks absolutely amazing…..I’m hungry!
We hope you try this recipe out!
Man, we did not have malls up in the mountains, just small stores that were so friendly and helpful. Love this combo. Went out and purchased the thighs and have fresh meat from the farm. Veggies from the market as well, great time to see this. The force grows within you. Nate, keep tryin!!
New user of the Blackstone griddle! And the motivation to Ring it & Bring it (sipping) when we successfully do what is always delicious and professionally done. Keep Ringing!!

Just made, and the family is loving it! Much appreciated!
That's what we like to hear. Thanks for watching!
Yes I would eat it, And you ring that bell as many times as you want.
The movie references are all just completely a recreation of my childhood
Been awhile since I commented, but I look forward to your weekly videos. This one, Copycat Bourbon Chicken & Steak definitely brought back memories. And those shorts that Ethan was wearing...all I can say is WOW! And he says, "Screw you, guys!" hahahaha And if you are annoying people with your choice of video formats...then you are doing it right! Keep on ringin' it and bringin' it! CHEERS!
Ring it and Bring it!
I would like t say that this recipe is a good one. But....I cant.
Because its an awesome one!!
Love the show, big fan of all yours and Bruce's shows. Keep them up!
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching!
That looks FANTASTIC! I could actually smell that when you glazed it! (Ok, maybe I'm mental... 😆) Nice work!
14:06 Can always use more Cowbell. Even though not a Cowbell it still applies
That intro ruled.
A place by my house in Pa opened an old time arcade. It’s called back to the arcade. AKA like back to the future. It has all the great arcade games like when we were kids.
I’m not using any Blackstone seasonings today, just some salt, pepper and garlic powder. Me over here looking at my Blackstone SPG and Essentials Blend.
We went to County Seat for our 501 jeans...walk into Chess King to buy some shoulder pad jackets...Thom McAn for some new shoes...walk by the Tobacco Bowl and smell the pipe tobacco...Wicks n Things to smell the candles there...hit Musicland to buy some new vinyl...and cap the mall afternoon off at Chick-fil-A for waffel fries and an original sandwich...that was a true 80's Saturday afternoon...your steak and chicken meal was a great throwback to that time....also Nate you talk too much.
What was the powder you put in the glaze before the slurry?????
Let's Gooooooo 🔥 🔥 🔥. Definitely would make this! Awesome job! 🍻🍻🍻🍻
New subscriber alert. So my twins showed me I wasn’t subscribed even though I watch all the shows. They now subscribed me. So “Scum on, everyone SUBSCRIBE to CJ’s First Cooking Show!!!” (I know it is supposed to be so come on. But it bothers my twins when I say it as it sounds in the song to me. Scum. )
I can finally enjoy my favorite part about Thursday, after being at work for 12 hours, CJ’s First Cooking Show is the best way to start my 3 day weekends
Another great cook. Sincerely, your twin lol
Gotta lay it on a bed of fried rice!
Come on man…steak, chicken, peppers, onions and no mushrooms?? That’s a must on my black stone bro!!
You are such a lightweight!!! 😂
Wife and I love the show from the Atlantic side of Florida..Keep up the good work! You guys rock! 🤘🏻
Jefro said this is a top 5 of your cooks. I could possibly eat a dump truck load of this with a side of brown rice. Great job 👍
So are you "going to the mall today". What sitcom reference is this? What do you say, "challenge accepted"? (Another clue) 😄
I don't think the bell gets ringed enough.
Looks great. I'll give this Recipe a shot next week. I'm the Pong Generation, there were Arcades in tiny little Storefronts/Strip Malls, Mom and Pop Burger Joints and Pizza Parlors, there were even Gas Stations that had Asteroids, Pac Man, Frogger, Missile Command, Galaga, Donkey Kong etc. We didn't go the Mall for video games...we went to meet GIRLS 😊
First time watching! So EXCITED!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Oh WOW I WOULD LOVE THIS!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉😊😊😊😊😊😊
We hope you try it out!
Love the sound of the teeth grinding on the fork CJ - About those shorts Ethan... - Cheers!
Yes, indeed!
Great show. Nate does have good tricks and explanations. Keeping rocking it CJ
You did good CJ. Looks superbly delish!! 🧡🧡🧡🖤🧡🖤🖤🖤🖤
The old saying. Never trust a skinny cook. Eat some double cheeseburgers my friend. 😂
Dang bro....... That looks amazing! TF2 for the win!!
Caught himself fast forwarding some, must of been watching Nate’s show🤣🤣, joking Nate, love your show almost as much as I love CJ’s show!
Dish looked very delish!!! I would add sliced green onions or sprinkle chopped parsley on it. 👍👍 What type of corn starch was that? Never seen it in a container like that. I’ve seen baking powder like that with the “leveler” on it. Just curious. 🤷♀️
Sounds like great additions!
Love Micro Machine man!
Nate you sound like my wife; too much this, not enough of that, cook that longer, you're over cooking it. Let CJ cook. BTW, my wife has never complained about my food. CJ, I'm thinking steak house. Looks delicious. Notice Nate talks through his bad comments. I think Andy should take over from Nate on the camera.
Hahaha
Frist time watching just got a Blackstone
Welcome to Griddle Nation!

What brand of Bourbon did you no drinking clowns use?
In this cook it was Old Hansford. Good Stuff!!
Looks good! But where are the potatoes? Or, maybe some rice instead
Haha KB Toys was the shit!!!
Malls have gone away 😢
I thought this was CJ's First Cooking Show, why does this idiot Nate talk so much? (Insert Ren and Stimpy "you stupid idiot" clip)
P.S. Gadzooks was the store to go to........and Hot Topic..........and Spencer's..........and the food court...........Hey let's go to the mall!
The movies clips are obnoxious and unnecessary. His videos should be no more than 6 minutes.
