Another great reaction, guys! I could be wrong, but I think Fury's wife was introduced in the beginning of the episode as Gravik's mother. The dialogue was the standout in this episode, and the actors delivered it masterfully. So many quotable moments!
The dialogue in this episode was top notch! Especially that scene in the train! Fury always has his own way to find things out 😄
Not Gravik's mother. They establish that both his parents had died. But the skrull woman that was carrying for him and introduced him to Fury is the same person he's married to at the end. I think her Skrull name is Vala, human name is Priscilla Fury.

Fury's wife is the same skrull from the beginning of the episode that introduced him to young gravik. Rhodes seems like he might be a skrull. It's just some of the things he says. Like when he's talking about the Slovakian ambassador rolling her eyes, he says if IT rolls IT'S eyes again instead of if SHE rolls HER eyes again. Also in the first episode when he's talking to the president, he talking like he doesn't know or barely knows Maria and Fury.
We noticed that during the editing! Question is does Fury know she is a Skrull? Because why would she revert back to a human shell if he knows already? And if he doesn’t know then there’s 2 possibilities. The Skrulls abducted his true wife or his wife never told him she was a Skrull he already knew. I don’t know! They left it ambiguous! Also good catch! My vote on who’s a skrull here is definitely Rhodey. And if I had to guess someone else Sharon Carter is definitely up there. Both of them now have access to experimental weaponry that could prove useful in this war.
I agree! In the first episode when the president didn't know what he said, he struggled to come up with another word for Fury and Hill being AWOL.
So my question is, was G’iah the one that informed the police of the safe house?
We believe so! Why is still unclear. The only reasonable explanation was that she knew they would put the blame on someone else and by doing so they delay the Skrulls a little bit.
Love the parallel of the skrulls taking the pledge to fury at the beginning and then the council doin the same to gravik
Yeah! Gravik taking full control in that scene is masterfully done. The dialogue and interactions and the way they carry this dreadful tone is perfection!

3:58 Putting the fictional aspect aside along with their ability to warp across space and go to new galaxies, finding a planet in the habitable zone of a healthy star that isn't already inhabited must be pretty freaking far. To be honest, now that we know Skrulls are resilient to radiation, I'm surprised we didn't give them Mars, lol. Their green skin and pointy ears would make for a great call back to what we used to think about old red =P Even if Mars was just a temporary home, it would at least be a home. There science along with others we've come across could possibly make it possible to terra form the planet--we just watched Thor jump star a dying star in Infinity War! Surely he could generate enough power to get Mars' core to spin as it once did to bring back its magnetic field.
9:13 I still don't think she's dead. This episode started were the last one left off, Maria seemingly dying, which transitioned to 1995 showing us Soren, who apparently died off screen before the series began. Why show us two characters that are supposedly dead? I can't help but feel that they were shown to remind us that they are still apart of a story not yet wrapped up.
9:31 Gravik's lying. He saw Nick in the bar with Maria the night before--he was the Russian guy Nick bought Vodka for, remember? Nick had a very public falling out with Maria in a foreign bar, talking about work, which is espionage. Not strange at all! Gravik took the bait and he acted on it, he was able to confirm with his own ears and eyes what his lieutenant told him earlier at his compound about Nick Fury. Gravik knew Nick would be at the festival, and he wanted Nick to know that he knew his every move and whereabouts and he did that with his slow reveal, changing into to all the people Nick met during his stay.
Gravik f'ed up. He confirmed for Nick what Nick suspected, that he can't trust anyone, and with that being the case, Nick can't break character. He needs to be the person everyone thinks he is, a man falling apart, if he's going to get ahead and beat them at their own game. Nick can't physically transform like Skrulls, but be can transform his personality, demeanor and tactics.
Gravik and Nick's feud seems very personal. Does Gravik see Nick as a father figure? Verra, his wife, if I'm not mistaken, introduced him to Gravik in 1997. She told him that Gravik had no family, and 1997 Nick treated all Skrulls as family. Gravik might not blame Nick for his absence during the blip, but nicks three years after it was his own doing. Abandonment coupled with a broken promises looks like a terrible combination, though I'm sure there's more to this story, but Gravik isn't having that. Talos told us last episode that Gravik took Nick's absence the hardest, so maybe he did see Nick as a father--in this episode he speaks to G'iah as if he knows Nick very well. Did Nick train him? Yikes, if true! But that would also help Nick too, so maybe that isn't a bad thing, after all.
18:45 Nick is still playing to everyone's doubts about him, and no one's picking up on it. Nick doesn't know who to trust, so he always has to stay in character. He just tried to see where Rhodes is on this, and Rhodes is with everyone else. Nick has to make his own, new team? Who's it going to be? The Avengers are out, so Nick is going to be going out of the box on this one, new blood all around.
What are the odds of Iron Heart showing up here? If Rhodes becomes a problem, her genius and knowledge of Tony's suits could come in handy. I still think Nick has Soren and Maria, but we also know from WandaVision that he has Monica too. Vision disappeared, might he be on SABER as well? Wong popped up in Shang Chi and She-Hulk, I wouldn't be too surprised to see him showing up here either. The Mirror Dimension would be a good place to leave problematic Skrulls, if it comes to that. Shang-Chi likely has a weapon of the Kree, the Ten Rings, those could come in handy when going up against Super Skrull who has the powers of a Frost Beast, Groot, Cull Obsidian and the Extremis we saw way back in Iron Man 3.
21:11 Nick told us last week that Sonya has a scorched Earth policy, and we're seeing that first hand. Yikes!
23:48 too late. One of the commercials promoting the series already showed Super Soldier doing a Groot like attack, and we've seen him already.
24:22 he gave a name, the Dolton's and he told Sonya that Gravik is building a machine that'll make them stronger.
25:22 Nick quite possibly kept this secret from everyone, including Talos! Nick has a vested interest making good on his promise. The Skrulls are Verra's family, Nick's in-laws! How good is Verra at fighting? Something tells me she's going to need to fight.
25:48 "I know good looking Skrulls, and you aren't one of them."

Nick knows everything. Why would the Skrulls hide from him? Their former general trusted him and Talos told his people to trust them, and most still do. This is Verra, if I'm not mistaken, the lady we met at the beginning, the one that introduced Gravik to Nick in 1997. Turns out revealing that Nick is married, to a Skrull, no less, is just as shocking shooting Maria Hill at the end of the episode. What shocker could they have lined up for us next week? Sharon Rogers coming from Steve Roger's parallel reality?! He did take more Pym particles than he needed in Endgame =O
Man these endings are full of shocking twist like you said! Loved all the things you pointed out. Mars indeed could’ve been a great option for them if they could terraform it. I’m sure as you mentioned they could find a way.
You are right when it comes to this feeling very very personal. The entire Gravik Vs Fury feels like we’re missing a big chunk. I think he was indeed somewhat of a father figure.
I also think Talos has way more to share with us about what happened back home. I understand trauma but it seems more like Talos is keeping something from Fury that might be useful to know. Aside from the fact that there are millions of skrulls on earth at the moment.
Can’t wait to see what next week has in store for us! I need to see Nick Fury flip the situation in a jaw dropping reveal sequence. Also getting a strong feeling Rhodey and/or Sharon Carter are indeed skrulls
@@OfficialMediaKnights Yeah, I though Sharon was a Skrull when we watched her survive a shot to the gut in Falcon and the Winter Soldier--she refused medical attention and seemingly walked it off moments after it happened!
If any of the surviving Avengers were going to be Skrulls there's only a handful of people they could be, right? Thor and Hulk are out, as they duplicate Thor's godly power (he's not on that computer G'iah looked at), and Jennifer Walters is She-Hulk because she's got Bruce's blood running through her veins.
Steve is nowhere to be seen and his whereabouts are unknown, but one would imagine that it wouldn't be difficult for a Skrull to copy his superhuman strength given that they already have superhuman strength, but would they be as good as he was? Tony and Natasha died as humans, so they're still very dead sadly. More importantly, Clint's wish wouldn't have worked if Natasha wasn't who she was would it? I suppose it is possible that Clint could be a Skrull, though I doubt that, but I guess we'll have to wait and see. James Rhodes could very well be a Skrull and it would make since given his proximity to the President and the fact that we've been shown that members of the council have all sought positions of power and Rhodey is the President's righthand man--what exactly is his title? Wanda, Doctor Strange and Wong are likely who they say they are two, as magic isn't something everyone can wield or wield well even. Peter still has his "Peter tingle," so that's probably a clear sign that he's still him too.
Rhodey and Sharon might be the only nods we get about the Skrulls pretending to be heroes we know. In any case, I cannot wait for next week! This series is really good.
Oh, even though Talos has been keeping secrets, he's still been quite loyal. More importantly, I figure Nick's wife already told Nick everything he needs to know about her people.
Nick Fury: "Humans can't even coexist with each other Talos! Humans have been at war with each other since they learned how to walk upright!! There is no room or tolerance on this planet for another species!!!"
Well, Mutants... you heard what Fury said.
Ohh yeah! It's gonna be a mess! It's funny you said that because one of my (Ari) theories is: Phase 4 made it a point to talk about all the displaced people after the blip. People coming back to their homes only to realize they've been taken. And the people living their lives getting kicked out by the folks that reappeared as well! It was just a mess but you can understand both sides of the problem. I believe this was a set up. I think Incursions are gonna be this same exact problem but at a bigger scale. People getting displaced from their own realities into ours (616 or Universe 199999) I think the mutants might get displaced from their reality to ours creating a bigger political turmoil down the line. Driving home the "They don't belong here" and the "They have nowhere else to go"

Strangely the final scene has many quizzical about whether Fury is aware that his wife is the Skrull Varra introduced in the 1997 Promise expository opening scene; in which all Skrulls volunteering to join the cause acknowledged such by assuming and KEEPING a human form shell" as Talos. Soren was the first and was followed by more, and it's reasonable to presume Varra was also down for the cause and volunteered.

My half baked theory is that that's the Skrull that introduced Fury to Gravik. And they co-raised him. Which would explain why Gravik took his abandonment that much harder

This is gonna be a sh*tshow! So many skrulls and so many of them angry trying to take the planet. Nick is gonna have to come up with a hell of a plan! The train scene was spectacular. Two masterful actors at work!
Nick is in a loving marriage with a Skrull;
When Nick came home, she basically shapeshifted to a wife and Nick "shapeshifted" to a husband by wearing the ring, then they kissed, but not before. It's roleplay but that roleplay is their reality; they're in a loving marriage and are hiding it.
OMG you guys, you said it, and my mind raced... What if Fury has a half Skrull kid... Each of these shows seem to introduce a young avenger or new Avengers... Hulkling is a half human Skrull of royal Skrull lines and a Young Avenger. OMG!!
Hulkling could definitely have his origins in this show! Who knows! We’d be thrilled to have him in live action and giving him a personal connection like that would be massive!

Rhodey is Mr. ISTJ! He is kind of like the establishment embodied. Think of Iron man 1 & 2, as well Civil War and his choices in those films.
He’s always been on the side of doing what he thinks is right! But something about Rhodey…I don’t know if it’s intentional but if they were to target someone to take their place it would be him. Access to weaponry, he gets all the intel he needs I mean he would be the perfect mole for the skrulls. I guess we’ll see!
I think NF knows that his wife is a Skrull. Do you guys remember when NF was ribbing Talos about being an ugly Skrull bc he knows some good looking Skrulls? NF was referring to his wife. Not only that I think the character Beto (the Skrull at the gate) is NF’s son who has infiltrated the Skrulls command base at the nuclear facility.
Omg! Beto could be the son but he’s a teenager! The only problem is skrulls age to slow for Beto to be that age if Fury met his wife in 95-97 other than that your theory would be solid!

I think he knows she is a Skrull. She became the mom to Gravik since he lost his parents and her and Nick raised him like a son. Also, last episode Fury said he knew some good looking Skrulls. That made me think that he had a relationship with one/some in the past.
My main question is why would she change from her normal form to human to greet Nick? Nick wouldn’t care in the first place. Now I don’t know if that is a misdirection either way it could work. I do see Nick falling in love with a Skrull. It would make the conflict more personal.

I know others were wondering like me that if the skrulls are a threat why not call the Avengers? This episode gave a very good reason for once as to why they can't just get the Avengers. Also on a side note is there even an Avengers team left after endgame?
There are precautions in place as seen by the Shang-Chi post credits. Where the previous members are actively recruiting but at the moment it’s disbanded. They are all doing their own thing until they are needed again!

Gravik is definitely becoming a big problem at the moment. But loving how menacing he comes across!

it's content carving a new tier we never knew was possible; nuanced, grit, grounded, incredible acting and dialogue; the chemistry between these actors! every scene was golden. Gravik's meeting! my god, most nuanced terrifying villain I've seen in this genre. Sonya, Nick, Talos, Rhodey, even Maria's mom scene, her acting was incredible. I've never seen a more perfect casting; giants on the screen delivering their money's worth. Marvel is killing it right now; Guardians3, Spiderverse2, Secret Invasion.
We agree! This show has some solid acting across the board! Some of these scenes are straight up acting excellence. It might not be as flashy as other projects but I appreciate the adult tones. This is exactly what we were craving!

Man, Sonya Falsworth (Olivia Colman) is a nightmare hiding behind a pleasant smile and a lovely English accent. She seems to be the opposite end of the ruthless-merciful spectrum from Talos and Nick might get caught in the middle. I'm sure he'll be ready to do what needs to be done though.
I have a theory that Skrull that was shot is still alive because I feel he is gonna shape shift into Harrison Ford's Thunderbolt Ross and then becomes Red Hulk from that needle. His power thrives on heat.

We haven’t watched Fleabag! But heard some amazing things about it. But she is fantastic in this! These actors are really nailing the performances in this show! If we ever get to watch Fleabag however we’ll keep you posted! And yeah! 8 hours for the edit is the average number assuming it’s 2 hours long. Plush another hour and a half give or take for a good thumbnail. There’s a lot to a channel that goes into it that people don’t see. In a way it’s like a movie. It takes so much work but it’s so easy to consume in a few minutes/hours. This channel and the community has been such a blessing and an incredible journey.
We remember a lot of names and a lot of subscribers we’ve had the joy to talk to every week. You’ve been one of them! Seen us from the start. In a way just like movies and art this channel is all of us movie lovers coming together and having a good time.
For now we’re doing everything in house. Maybe in a year or two we’ll need an editor to keep up with the content or simply to take a bit of a break 😅

The thing is like they said…they gotta be careful now. If the avengers where to show up the skrulls could weaponize their appearance and taint their reputation. But if it came down to hand to hand they’d definitely win

There's a British horror movie I think you guys will like not many reactions to it but it's (Neil Marshals 2002 Dog Soldiers) its probably one of the best Werewolf films ever made hope give it a react.

Gravik is fury’s son
I don’t think it would line up with the timeline! Gravik is potentially older than Nick or at least close to the same age in human years if you think about it. A side from that we’re pretty sure Gravik’s dad got shot and died during the events of Captain Marvel.
Unless…Fury adopted him and raised him on earth. That would be a wild plot twist
