I like everything about that light. the bracket, the height, the placement, the housing, except for one thing. I prefer the look of old-school headlights over the LED's. That being said, the LED's are brighter, and therefore safer, and being safe is more important than being cool.
I Feel ya. It was all about brightness and current draw. I have had problems with one of my cars and my Electraglide... Seems like my Light plugs were made late on a Friday at the factory... They melted when the plugs got some age on them. Thanks for watching and feel free to give any suggestions. I'm winging it!
Being honest, I haven't even ridden that bike yet. got s couple more tiny loose ends.... That's the kind of stuff I'll look at. I'm sure there will be things I need to change for this bike, and make sure I don't do them again on the next bike. I used 3/16 thick steal, hopefully not crazy bounce. Thanks for watching.
Bracket looks nice ..I'm guessing not overbuilt..get that scooter up to 60/70/80 mph..at night ...that headlight won't be vibrating all over the road ..👍👍👍
Yep, Living near the beach is a blessing and a curse! I use Ospho and Primer it means I have to Sand Blast right before painting an powder coating.. Again. Thanks for watching, Good luck with your project.
I'm really into how you're making all your own parts for this build! Sending some encouragement your way from another Floridian. I can also attest to the humidity comment lol.
Thanks for the encouragement! I wanted to buy as little off the shelf Items as possible. Don't get me wrong some of them are raw metal kits. Making threaded bungs are a time suck so I buy that kind of stuff, Thanks again for watching and subscribing.... Humidity!!! Wait until summer I'm going to be building with full on swamp ass!
Looks good man. I have an almost identical mount setup and I've noticed I get a little less than desirable "bounce" while riding. I was thinking of adding a longer gusset, just havent got around to it. Have you noticed any extra shimmy with your light?
Great video Joe. New subscriber here...thinking about building a Sportster chopper later in the year myself. Trying to get ideas of where to start. Glad I found your channel. What part of Florida are you in?

Diggin it so far. Step by step man, keep on keeping on!
Thanks for the encouragement! It seems to be going slower than I expected. Life just seems to get in the way sometimes.
That is going to be an amazing bike when you are done
Thanks man! I do like the way it's turning out.

Fort Walton Beach, near Pensacola in the panhandle. Go for it, this build has been a blast.
