Probably already got it how you want the bracket, but heres a quick cheat for making rounded corners or ends. Use vise grips and hold a washer onto what you're grinding so you can get a nice radius on the corners, or just grind the entire peice to be round. Different washer sizes, different radius sizes.
Videos are shweet man. Recent had a friend offer me an xs1100 . You’re videos are a lot of inspiration. The garage shall be occupied for a few months now!
Hell yea brother. I am building a very similar XS650. Also I am putting. an XS650 into a tractor frame to enter into the show that redzz02 and Fearless front are part of out in western PA. I am psyched for the show you are talking about as well. I have a Miller 220 that I use and I love it!!!. That old German unit you have is totally awesome, Guy speaking in German about a German Welder, Go figure....you have a great sense of Humor brother!! U have the same JUNK helmet also. I have to get a Lincoln.
Loving the chopper content. I’m from Maine with an xs650 chop myself. Love the bikes, but an issue you may run into that had me stranded last summer is the Alternator system. If you plan on putting some serious miles on it I suggest going in and replacing your stock system with a “Hughs Handbuilt PMA” if it’s not already. Trust me it’ll save your ass. You can also completely eliminate the need for a battery. So no need to worry about the ol battery going dead ever.
@@ChopperFisher I guess I could work on them before work. I'm just scared because I don't want to be tired at work. I drive all night across the state.
So you have 2 Yamaha builds going at the same time? I am wondering why you are building a headlight bracket for the stock front end when you set up the one frame for the Springer front end?
Where do you get your metal bits to make fabricated parts from? Working on a CB650 chop now and have a FB marketplace alert for free scrap metal but curious if you also buy any?
@@ChopperFisher Nice! There's a TSC a half hour from me (in north shore MA) that i've never been to but good to know it's a stock source. Keep the videos coming!
Awesomeness man! It gives it an old skool look! 💯 Amigo!
Hell yeah thank you! 🤘😁
