This bit was written by Louis CK. He says he performed it in Boston in his early days when Leary was already a household name, Leary took the stage after him, said it was really funny and started riffing in it. 2 weeks later Louie walks in another club and Leary is just doing the bit. A few years later it was turned into this song. Leary later funded one of Louie’s short films as an unspoken payment. The timeline makes sense, Leary was running out of Bill Hicks material to steal

Dennis Leary stole his whole persona and act from Bill Hicks.. and he stole the "asshole" bit from Louis CK, and made an annoying song about it. He became an "actor" when Bill Hicks died... I guess he missed his head writer.
And? Then? What's your point? Norm Macdonald, one of the funniest bastards in the world, stole most of his persona from others. He made it work. He owned it as did Leary. There is nothing new under the sun.
@Stewart Cohen-Jones You may be right. I'm not in a place to defend Dennis Leary, nor do I care to. I find him mildly funny. In no way the same category as Norm. Rescue Me was a great series though, c'mon.

You make me laugh dude as this song is a bit of an oldie to me but watching your reaction to it makes it all worth watching again!
I have a Song request, the band is: "SUBLIME"
the song is "2 joints", it's a good one, Lol!
Sadly though is the singer of Sublime who died just before the release of this album, it was a great & successful album too.
Thanks for your humour, stay cool dude.
Last night at work, took its time getting over with; but what did I do to deserve to come home and watch probably THE ALL TIME GREATEST reaction ever?!?!?!?! Yeah, I just had to watch this again. If you ever worry about laughing too much, I wouldn't suggest listening to a few of his acts that he has out on CD (No Cure for Cancer & Lock & Load) just to name a couple.
You cheer us up EVERY DAY! Your full body laugh is contagious! 🤣🤣🤣
The Ref...movie staring Dennis Leary3..hysterical!
Omg! Thoguht I was the only one that loved this. Amd considered an essential xmas movie at my house!
@@shariscott5084 i watched it last night. 🤪
Agreed
Judgement Night
It's so funny to watch when somebody discovers their spirit animal is Denis Leary.
Leo,Leo,Leo.....my heart can’t take this....I can’t breath either...only you can find this..I’m going to play this for my husband.....Judy D
Ironically, I just played this a few weeks ago for my son...he's got a warped sense of humor like me. Leo reminds me of him, actually
You smashed it again Leo. Great reaction. Hilarious. 👍
!!!!DEMOLITION MAN...STALLONE, SNIPES, LEARY, SANDRA BULLOCK....I KNOW ITS A MOVIE....WELL WORTH THE WATCH BRO!!!
The 3 seashells🤣🤣🤣
I have good memories of that movie .... stoned and drunk off my ass watching demolition man at the local party spot before the party even began
Great movie, Wesley Snipes made it acceptable for black dudes to rock blonde hair
A friend introduced me to "No cure for cancer" in the mid 90s, and it is Denis Leary's standup comedy skit.
This song was part of it, and to this day I listen to it every now and then, this song is pure gold and never gets old.
I'm so happy to see this reaction. I'm not the big fan of Dennis Leary I was when this came out (mostly because later learned who Bill Hicks was but that's another story. R.I.P. Bill Hicks) but this song is special to me. I have several memories tied to being a drunk hooligan teenager and singing this song with my asshole friends while doing asshole things lol. Try not to be to hard on the teens, we were them once ya'll. Mr. Video, this is hands down my favorite reaction ever. Not just from you but from anyone. I love anytime I get to see someone hear this song for the first time but you had me laughing so hard at how it made you laugh. Thank you my guy!
Still on my play list all these years later and it is great blasting that in the car with all the windows down.
You have to watch his move "The Ref". Best Christmas movie!
Very underrated movie extremely funny
I'm currently down a rabbit hole watching reaction videos of this song specifically. You have THE best reaction!
I actually seen this routine,he would do this before his stand up bit,No Cure for Cancer.
That stand up was great.
I haven't listened to this in probably 25+ years 😂 This is still just as funny now!
Jim Breuer did a cover of this for Denis Leary at his Comedy Central Roast
My sisters and I still use a quote from this song at least once a month lol. Im SO glad to see you do this one. I knew you would love it!
i CRACKED UP laughing at our host laughing at the video, LMAO
LOVE DENNIS
LOVED GROWING UP IN THE 80s & 90s
Dennis Leary "No cure for cancer" is my favorite stand up show of all time.
Whenever I feel down, I come back and watch this reaction. Your laughter is good medicine.
Dennis Leary: Irish Drinking Song
Life's Gonna Suck by Dennis Leary. Hilarious.
Once many years ago and for one night only on public tv...this song was used in the UK for an anti drink driving ad....it was awesome
I first heard this song when I was 11... It shaped my future... I'm an asshole...
Think i was between 25 or 30 but i love it
As an actual handicapped person I must say that “the handicap spaces and handicap faces” part was really.........fucking hilarious 😂
Hello
It's good to see you see the humour
I laugh when i see the handicap parking with a huge 4WD parked in the space and I wonder SHT!!😲 How does the poor handicap person get out of this fkn huge truck
Would kill himself getting out of the door.🤔
Another time I saw a huge 4WD UTE with dirt bikes at the back on a handicap spot🤫
Hehehehe
Miss your 80's reactions. If possible, could ya do Bobby Brown? Every little step or dont be cruel. Youd love them I think!! That is all
He has already
@@anitraharrisbickham383 no. No he hasn't. Just went through his whole library to watch. No trace of anything by him. At least you gave me something to do for 8 mins lol
I forgot how funny this song is
YESSS!!!!!!!
@@thehashtagtrashbag my bad. Must have been another reactor I saw it on
I'm so happy you found this. I've loved it for years! Great reaction!
Swear you need to give Wheeler Walker JR a try he is filthy in his songs but they are strangely good lol.
Omg yes!! I love Wheeler! Hilarious and a very underrated musician!! We need to get Leo into some country, anyway, right?
Puss in boots is great!
I used to drive around blasting this on my big sound system! I love this and glad you get it! This is my anthem bro for real! Keep up the awesomeness and keep smoking, much love
LMAO! The only Dennis Leary song better than this is Merry F@!king Christmas. I expect it sometime during the holiday season......
My bf loved him on rescue me. When I explained to her how epic he was long before rescue me and showed her this she actually got mad. Said I ruined it. She didn’t like this at all lol
Guess opposites really attract cause that’s still my girl.
I love Dennis.
Coffee flavored coffee dammit
Said it before say it again check out Afroman "Because I Got High" make us all happy ok!
This
This bit was written by Louis CK.
Ok so not for everyone, but there is a comedian who does a song called "Craig" that i think you'd enjoy 😄😈🤣
you might be referring to "Craig Christ" by Stephen Lynch
@@lordjanos1970 It is! When I looked it up on UA-cam it just came up as Craig...I'm sure somebody got "offended" or something!
Stephen Lynch!!! YESSSS!!!! OM F G I haven't listened to SL in YEARS!
Leo would fall off the couch to "Craig ".
@@WELLTHATWASUNCALLEDFORDOITAGAI Haha right?! I just listened to it again after I watched this video....Leo would love it!!
How have I not ever heard this. Love his movies and comedy. This was great to watch for the first time.
I was worried that this may have broke you. You were laughing so hard and crying. Then you were in shock I think .
Loves me some Denis Leary but almost forgot about this song before this. Your reaction had me in tears!!
What he is squeezing is a tension reliever. It is actually a silicone implant. lol Nice choice brother.
he is fondling a breast implant in front of his wife
This is my absolute favorite reaction period. I've always remembered this song. When someone's being(see title off song) I tend to repeat the chorus in my head. I'm too chicken really say something. Maybe some day. Thank you for a stellar reaction.
Leary stole most of his act from Bill Hicks.
Of ALL the reaction videos that I have watched through the years, this is by far, THE...GREATEST one EVER. You're reaction to this was HYSTERICAL...and GREAT. I am subscribing. Thank you for giving me such a great laugh along with you. ✌️❤️ out to you.
Political correctness killed comedy - we were singing this around the Christmas table swaying and clinking mugs. We're all assholes. It's good to remember that.
Politcal correctness killed nothing. Labeling respectful discourse as "politically correct" did however destroy interpersonal respect.
Can you point to an example of what you're meaning? I'm trying to understand what you mean by interpersonal respect.
Well let's start by reiterating you are demonstrably wrong. More comedy specials produced the last 3 years than the entirety of the history of television.
@@jamestaylor3805 lol i didn't come for a fight. I came for the fun. Have a great day - be well and be blessed
Fights come to you when you use divisive rhetoric to support a factually inaccurate opinion.
Im crying laughs with you and ive heard this song every month since the 90s in the bar thanks for helping me enjoy it again
Dude you just made the start of my day off awesome!. Thanks for the nostalgic trip back to childhood. I'd forgotten how much fun it is to sing this song.
Denis Leary stole this joke from Louis CK.
I didn’t think this video could get any funnier but watching you react to it is priceless!
If you wanna do a day of crazy funny songs do Dont Eat The Yellow Snow by Frank Zappa
Nevermind, I just seen that guy Jamal did a reaction to it last week. There are better Frank Zappa songs. Check out Camarillo Brillo.
This is the first "reaction" video I've ever seen that had an honest, sincere reaction.
Leary smoked 7000 packs a day, had a heart attack at 42 and never smoked again.
He started at 12, got kicked out of the altar boys for it. He did an interview with Conan O'Brian at the age of *60* and still had not quit. And no one has ever smoked 7000 cigarettes in one day, lol. Heavy smokers average 30 a day, even if you double that, or triple it, that just wouldn't work, not enough time in the day, lol.
@@FilthyBitchGunClub 7000 packs a day came from one of his comedy bits that was on this album. I never knew he started smoking again.I haven't followed him much in the last 10 yrs. Thanks for the info.
You have taken the title of my favorite reactor, knowing you've done this song, amazing.
