Shooting a roket at someone only to see them keep marching as if it was a peble with barly the paint of the armor being blemished, that alredy scaring me
Dunno, rockets can do some serious damage to a space marine, but i guess it depends on the rocket. A modern day RPG is probably little more than a grenade to them.

They weren't chapters, they were legions. Mark 3 is from 30k, the space marines were still organized as legions with tens of thousands of astartes per legion, at least. Some had a hundred thousand or more, though those numbers were decimated during the Horus Heresy and Scouring. @@anamAlisterThe space wolves also much prefer melee so thicker armour lets them get close to ranged enemies. Once they get into the enemy lines the rest of the wolves with lighter armour can move in much safer.

Both the mk2 and mk3 are mu fav patterns, the sheer look of it its amazing, i wish GW could make primaris versions of them, they just fit soo good in like noble space marines chapters
The world eaters also liked this armor pattern , and even if it made them a lot slower, it allowed them to fight with melee in environments that didn't have a lot of cover
Fun fact kinetically the are was invented to fight the squats before they allied themselves with the imperium. Intense the squads are now canon and are just Votan that's saying a lot. The Votan are one of the best shooting army's in the game so m3 power armor is really good
Which one had the bullet magnet problem? One of the marks had to be outmodded because the gorget was shaped in such a way that it kept turning chest shots into neck shots
I don't know. I think the MK VIII armor is the most intimidating with the vox grill in front. I like the bracelets of the mk III but the gorget, pauldrons and helmet of the mk VIII is far more intimidating. The helmet looks like an ongoing battle cry. Combined with a audible battle cry they seem like the demi gods of bloodshed they are supposed to be
Small nitpick, you used the MK 3 image when you said “it looks like the MK2 crusade pattern” (the Iron Warrior was in MK2 the Imperial Fist was in MK3 you can most easily tell by how the leg armour was layer plated on the MK2, whereas on the MK3 it became a solid piece)
If I remeber right the very old lore for the mark 3 was that it was made for the sole purpose of fighting of worlds owned by the squats cause the space marines kept getting their ass kicked by the spacedwarves
I love how the original war for this armor was to fight the squats now that they're back technically that lore is canon again. Mark 1 thunder armor still the best though
There was a comment to an iron warriors marine to a crimson fist 👊 that there armor was superior to the fists armor so they should just let them help them with there ork infestation because there was no hope in winning. I imagine this goes the same with several chapters
Gotta disagree. The most intimidating, at least in terms of the helmet is definitely the Mk.VII Aquila pattern. That helmet design, especially that iconic gothic-arch vox grill on the front, makes it by far the most aggressive and intimidating helmet of all. I think people overlook it because it's more common than others like the Mk.III, but I definitely think it's a distinctly more badass aesthetic.
@@oneshotgaming3961no one is pointing it out because it’s been in existence for 30 years and everyone already knows space marines are basically space knights already with dark angels proving that even more so yeah not special

@merouanebelaroussi9706 Well, low-level rockets might be grenades to space marines. Say if a Javaline came top down on them.....
The knight asthetic of MK3 is amazing to me
Well the Dark Angels and Space Wolves were known for their drip

Then again im more of a 30k person so I suppose its normal to me.
Thanks for the video of my favorite armor friend.
Best pattern armor.
The great helm aesthetic is amazing!
There is no better looking combo than iron warriors and mark 3 armor
Don't forget that the fighting was specific to the squats. Bros kicked marines ass so hard they had to make a new armor specifically to fight them
Only thing they kicked was the bucket. They fucking died hahahahahaha

Cataphractii, Tartaros and Indomitus pattern tactical dreadnought suits: "AHEM..."
Cataphractii armour is sexy as fuck.
Shark guys would like a word.
My absolute favourite power armour.
I grabbed a box of them when I started Warhammer for my black Templars
IRON WITHIN, BROTHERS!
As I shall be the Iron without🦾
The grey knights armour is the most intimidating in my opinion. Mostly the helmet but the scripture and the steel grey look sells it for me
I can just imagine a bunch of hairy space wolves going “its so clunky” “BUT ITS SO COOL”
As if a 8 foot tall superhuman wasn’t intimidating enough 😅
Until a primaris in gravis plate walks up 😂

Just like the Cataphractii armor. They're built to be a talking tank

So in world war 2 sense it's a Sherman jombo
Damn, that's actually a good way of putting it
Favorite armor and feels so nostalgic cause I have a complete mark 3 Imperial fists set that was painted by my father before i was born.
Thanks for the info
I like how the armor looks skinnier than the mk2, but is more protected
Love that the MK3 is just a MK2 with a bunch of extra armour plates added on top of the already good armour of the MK2.
I can’t get enough of this stuff for some reason. Makes me want to jump into a quick match right now!! But I’m working…😢
This is THE poster-armour for the Horus Heresy, with the Mark 2 Crusade being a close second. This is canonically the most used armour back then.
The War hound’s power armor imagine on the war hammer wiki is my absolute favorite best looking model of armor and color scheme
Clumsy to use,
Casually and tactically rips apart a ship crew
This armor was made for the Iron Warriors. They just look too damn cool.
Fun fact kinetically the are was invented to fight the squats before they allied themselves with the imperium. Intense the squads are now canon and are just Votan that's saying a lot.

Dude, you cannot call that most intimidating when the Corvus-pattern exists. It looks like an armored plague doctor come to cure the unclean.

The Space Marine's greatest weakness:
Small spaces

Fun fact: the armor created to replace Iron Armor was Cataphratii armor.
That’s right! Iron-Armored Marines were the progenitors to Terminators!
The best space marine armour, I hope we get a modern version of it in the lore
Defence or Drip.
Either way, once of the best looking armour sets.
It was not for the look, but because it gave more protection in CC. Well, more protection in general than the later marks.

Mark 1 thunder armor still the best though
Plot armor beats all these armor.
The three tanky legions.
of course.
Deep sorrow that the lore has changed from what I remember this armor was originally made to combat the squats in their holds
Mk 6 Beakies will always be my favorite.

Is that where "Iron within, Iron without" comes from?
The Mk4 Maximus looks more intimidating imo
Nah, the Mk.4 looks cool. Not as intimidating as the Mk.3/2.
Mark 4 and 6 looks less bulky thus they appear sophisticated

Legions! Not "Chapters." This was the great crusade, not girlyman's wet dream.

Surely you jest! How could it possibly hold up to the fearsome Mk.6 with it's ability to peck at the enemies of mankind!?
It was not adopted by most "LEGIONS" not Chapters
