Nicole was definitely an intimidating presence. I met her & her husband at the time at a bar in '98. She had just finished an ECW show. Her husband just sat there, she did all the talking. Very down to earth, she seemed hungry for attention. Was never a fan but she was approachable for a good talk
I believe it. You gotta be pretty hungry for attention if you don't mind getting all of the negative attention she got as one of Howard Stern's Wack Packers.

Nicole was an absolute sweetheart. I was on many indy shows with her. And I can tell you right now, it wasn't her doing in regards to the lawsuit. Her husband at the time was behind it. He used her and filled her head with bullshit.

I think the fact Nicole didn’t look at Val was because of embarrassment and perhaps feeling disheartened of what he along with others thought of her.

Nicole was a very nice lady but she and her husband got addicted to pain pills. He passed away first and then she did.
Yeah through various interviews I have no reason to not believe that her husband was toxic as hell and she was too insecure to leave (probably due to similar assholes in here that think she was a man) which led to a cycle of misery. Would explain why she was in court in the first place and couldn’t look Val in the eyes. Guilt, bad influence, and addiction/dependency is one hell of a situational cocktail. So very heartbreaking. I hope she’s found peace.

Saw the UA-cam clip of Nicole Bass getting hit on the head with a guitar on the WWE Debra vs Nicole Bass - Evening Gown Match. The hit was vicious but the guitar fell a part very easy.
I’m surprised that Val Venis’ character wasn’t dead in the water once he was paired with Nicole Bass. Pretty hard to be considered a “ladies man” back then if you “hooked up” with a lady who had more muscle mass than you.

i would love to see val in the ring again. i know he is up there in age and we all know how the lifestyle takes a toll on the body....but he and snow were always my favorites.
Val's hyper focused on the eye contact thing, but rightly or wrongly, she's suing the company that Val works for, and she was fired partly because of his reports back to the office. Now I'm not debating that those reports were accurate as Val seems like a guy with a lot of integrity, and I love hearing him talk about the business, but I'm genuinely wondering what he expected her to do when you frame the situation like that.

Im kind of with ya. From her perspective maybe she felt betray and was somewhat bitter. Val saying she was so nice and willing to learn, but at same time he's giving her bad reviews. So was Val being upfront with her saying what he was reporting or was he telling her she was doing great while going behind her back to management. If thats the case then i can see why she wouldnt look at him in the courtroom.

But if you gimmick it correctly by taking out the cross bracing then it's just an 1/16" - 1/8" piece of wood but you still have to do the shot correctly. In Jake's case Honky hit him with the edge of the guitar and there is no give there at all
