Sh Jay this is the size a professional caterer would slice a cake at a wedding. There is usually a lot of people and there wouldn't be enough cake to go around. It's also neater and less messy to cut it like this as opposed to triangle slices.
You're all so mean. This is a useful thing to know. Maybe it's a party with a lot of desserts so people can get a bit of each one. Maybe you could serve those small pieces to young kids that don't eat much. Maybe you brought a cake to a dinner and there's more guests than you had planned, and you want to give a piece to everyone. Or maybe you just don't have much money but still you wanted to give cake to people. What's wrong about it?
Who would want to be friends with someone who is picky, not appreciative and can't understand that his/her friend could not afford a larger cake anyway?
This is pretty cool! Even though the cake sizes are too small (which is unfair), we're getting so many pieces from that cake only meant for 8 to 10 people. It's quite normal for buffet style restaurants and weddings. Nice! ❤️
This is fine for 26 people getting a taste of cake, as long as your guests don't mind getting a ton of frosting on their piece, or no frosting on others, some people getting a tiny piece, while others get a full serving. If this was sold to me in a restaurant, I'd want my money back.
You guys don't see the whole big picture. Obviously someone is not going to serve JUST 1 CAKE at a party. This is best for a meal with many courses or a buffet, or potluck party, you name it (imagine having 10 different flavors of cakes AFTER 100 appetizers and 3 main dishes). This is the best way to ensure everyone gets to try every dish. Also if I saw a cake cut into traditional 8 large pieces, I'd be quite nervous to try it because I may not like it after 1 bite, or may get too full and sick of it after a few bites, or discover that it has an ingredient I'm allergic to, BUT THEN I'VE ALREADY TOUCHED THE PIECE OF CAKE. It would be a waste to throw it away, but would be awkward to offer to other people. Even though many people claim to be able to eat a whole cake, in reality, not many people actually can.
It's honestly a decent size if you consider that you had a cocktail hour w/3 or more appetizers, a starting salad, then full entree. I get so full during a 3 course meal that I have to nearly make myself sick if I try to get through dessert
J-Horse I've never been to one without food. Even buffet or pot luck style receptions serve a *lot* of food. It's unrealistic in a majority of special events like a wedding, to not have an actual meal or food served
Man if i buy a gift for someone's occasion and they try me with that little piece of cake I'd be pissed. This is why i don't waste my time or money on birthdays or weddings or anniversaries. Man if you cant afford another or bigger cake you should reconsider the event.
Dont worry man, if thats your mindset, where you care so little about people, no one is gonna want you at their events anyway! Nice how problems solve themselv es
Great introduction to the importance of consistent slicing! For Wholesale producers FoodTools make a variety of labor saving cutters for all volumes and budgets.
Genya Safin First no one is fighting. Everyone is only expressing how they feel about such a small slice of cake which they are entitled to do. I dont see any fight in that. This is a comment section. Second I agree with the masses. It's too small. Who are they feeding? A bunch of 2 year olds? That slice size is an insult to an adult. *NO FIGHT HERE.* _JUST MY OPINION / COMMENT._
I once watched a lady cut paper thin slices on a cake...what is sad is the cake was huge and not that many people showed up.....the cheapness is real. Don't even have a party if that's the case
Personally, most people don't eat their whole slice, I'd only go half way through and save half if it was a wedding thing. Aside from pictures, story and the cake. What else can you share with someone who missed your wedding.
Okay, you all are mad, but let's be real, we all KNOW that one picky brat who takes the last slice of cake, eats one bite of it, makes a face and then throws the rest out. Do this but have unlimited seconds. And a crap ton more cakes cut like this, just in case.
24 servings out this size it's ok *For a taster* If you intent to serve it You better have 2 of those cakes and cut each into 12 portions Because if you serve me the first one, I don't want to see you again my dear
I don't like cake that much, so I would gladly take a small piece, but oh boy, these comments are so funny! xD If this were cheesecake or rumcake I would be mad as fuck too. Don't you even dare!
I'd just buy two cakes. Nobody in my family would want a piece of cake that tiny. Good idea for cutting up a cake at work though. People don't want big chunks of cake at work.
I wonder how she became a chef... Use some conscience lady 😂😂😂😂 if you serve someone such a small peice of cake.... That would be your last cake cutting ceremony 😂😂😂
Sorry, ...but that looked like an ugly mess !!! I would rather make 2 cakes and cut them nicely and have enough than to serve it looking like that ! But, the cake was really pretty that you made !
wow. That's how Mr. Krabs cuts a cake. smdh
Lizcary Reyes Mr crabs wouldn't buy a cake
I'd be so mad if I got a tiny piece like that!
Bro you made my day.....hahahahahahaha.....
especially if it is from the corner
Talk about being a fat ass
@@r3sianon975 ppl just like cake🤣🤣🤣
@@r3sianon975
I rather be fat than have bones popping through my skin.
If you do this at your wedding.
honey just don’t invite me
Iqra Ahmed 😂😂😂😂lmao
Iqra Ahmed lolll omg let's be best friend
Iqra Ahmed hahaha you wouldn't be invited.either way 😋
Actually this is smart because I work at a wedding place and at least half the cake usually gets thrown away anyway because people don't eat it
Sh Jay this is the size a professional caterer would slice a cake at a wedding. There is usually a lot of people and there wouldn't be enough cake to go around. It's also neater and less messy to cut it like this as opposed to triangle slices.
What is this a sample at Costco?

What's wrong about it?
Astro Bear exactly why watch the video and have no consideration for why you would need to cut the cake like that
Period.
I'm excited bc I need my 7 in and 4 in two tiered cake to feed 22 people. So I'm VERY grateful for this method!
If you're not able to cut a round cake thke traditional way into 16 pieces, then you have issues.
If you serve me a cake that small,I don’t think I can be friends with you anymore
Lol
Who would want to be friends with someone who is picky, not appreciative and can't understand that his/her friend could not afford a larger cake anyway?
True that
Over a piece of cake. Lol. Good riddance
if you had to do this, you can't afford a wedding cake k...nobody wants a quarter size cake
Ikr...isnt that the entire reason you go to a wedding?
I'm been to three weddings usually there's a lot of leftover uneaten cake
Charles Cascioppo they choose to get a cake bigger than they need.
@@TweetMeap maybe the cake was not that good 🤷♀️
This is pretty cool! Even though the cake sizes are too small (which is unfair), we're getting so many pieces from that cake only meant for 8 to 10 people. It's quite normal for buffet style restaurants and weddings. Nice! ❤️
complete FAIL! VERY stingy...
MsBROWNIEBABE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE
It's for if you have a lot of guests...
Noooooooooooo one serving is wayyyyyyy too small 😯😯😯😯😯😯

Cymba McReynolds are we talking about a wedding here? Because not everyone can afford to serve so much food and alcohol at a wedding..
J-Horse I've never been to one without food. Even buffet or pot luck style receptions serve a *lot* of food.
It's unrealistic in a majority of special events like a wedding, to not have an actual meal or food served
Cymba McReynolds ur wack
IT'S CAKE
All of us americans r like oh hell no, tht aint no proper portion lol
If you want to cut it into squares
THEN MAKE A SQUARE CAKE
Some Generic Emo Band Name good idea yes
This is how most round wedding cakes are cut and served by caterers...at least the largest tiers of the cake.
That's how I cut my cakes, though sometimes I bake them in a square tin so it's easier. The pieces are plenty big enough.
This is very helpful, don't listen to the haters. There's many reasons why you'd need a small piece.
I think it genius...so much wedding cake go to waste and left over.
Damnnn honestly I would just take the whole cake with me😂😂
Man if i buy a gift for someone's occasion and they try me with that little piece of cake I'd be pissed. This is why i don't waste my time or money on birthdays or weddings or anniversaries. Man if you cant afford another or bigger cake you should reconsider the event.
Lemme just reconsider my birthday cause I’m a poor person
Dont worry man, if thats your mindset, where you care so little about people, no one is gonna want you at their events anyway! Nice how problems solve themselv es
You sound just as cheap as that piece of cake. Lol.
I would be pissed at a slice of cake that size. That's more of a petit four. *I WANT CAKE.*
Kandy Kane man that’s a PETTY two 😩
or just buy a bigger cake
Those cutting skills 10/10. Keeping the cake together 7/10
You give me a tiny piece of cake like that and I’ll never come to another event you host.
Thank you! You just solved my problem of how to feed my wife's co-workers with only ONE cake.
Thank you so much Andrea! This is great information to have! =)
the method is perfect and the peace size can be adjustable.
Great introduction to the importance of consistent slicing! For Wholesale producers FoodTools make a variety of labor saving cutters for all volumes and budgets.
I love this method! Thank you for teaching me a new way to slice it
If I got a slice that size at a wedding I would take my gift back and go home
Why have a party with a small cake? That cake is for like 8-12 people.
I don’t need to cut in pieces I prefer to eat the whole cake 😋
Wow. 26 pcs. I thought 10 from an 8 in cake was tough..just amazing.👏👏👏👏😁
If i see that size being served to me... I'll immediately switch to Gordon Ramsay rage mode. No kiddin'
The size seems ok dk why u people r fighting
Genya Safin this is just a video and they getting up all worked up over it. Lol

Kandy Kane but the layer is a three or four layer cake
And its also my opinion that everyone is fighting and overeacting

I would be so mad if I got that tiny piece of cake and it's not fair for the people who don't get any fruit on their piece of cake
George Brown i would be mad too after giving them a nice expensive giftttt i expect a nice decent size cake and meal !!

You don't have to use the specific cake size. It's just an example. God, humanity gets dumber.
So very delicious 👍
Thanks for this vdo🙏👍
I tried but my hand wouldn't let me slice it like this
I think it is okay to eat such a small serving for wedding cake, because you see, there are plenty of food in that event, not just cake.
l lawliet people are fatasses so they want bigger pieces.
Buy a bigger cake
Get a square wedding cake
problem solved
Thanks so much 🙏🙏💟💟
“Can’t have your cake and eat it too” ??🤷🏼♀️😂
OR just get a cake that is appropriate size for the amount of guest...🤔 However this is a great idea if someone just can't afford the accommodation.
So, some guests get 5% frosting and some get 70% frosting? Fail.
The plate she served the tiny piece is bigger than the whole cake😂😂
Moooommmmmm im still hungryy~
i wouldnt mind cause i never finish my slice
Thanks
“Big piece or small piece” they’re literally all small
I don't like cake that much, so I would gladly take a small piece, but oh boy, these comments are so funny! xD
If this were cheesecake or rumcake I would be mad as fuck too. Don't you even dare!
Honestly i just got so bothered by this
Genius!
Just bake a square cake if you do this?
sooof1839 This is how most round wedding cakes are cut....
Awesome 👍
So, cut it into squares. BRILLIANT!!! ...😔
Tf is this?
Theres no way im eating a peice of cake that small
I love Costco samples.
This woman reminds me of The Report Of The Week guy
What kind of cake is it again??
I'd just buy two cakes. Nobody in my family would want a piece of cake that tiny. Good idea for cutting up a cake at work though. People don't want big chunks of cake at work.
Damn!! Joey Tribbiani would be so pissed!! 🤣
I wanted to see it all on a plate
no ma’! se le hace círculo en medio y de ahí se va cortando el borde, sacando los pedazos a su vez. Easy.
Why turn back to where you started after the second cut when it's quartered evenly already? Just continue on.
That cake do look moist tho
A small ass cake for 26 people and they get small ass servings? I have a better solution,
Buy a second cake
Traditional wedding size cake? Hmm... I’m assuming the people attending that wedding, must be diabetic. 🤔
Oh hell no i bet they’ll charge 20+ for that tiny piece
She seems hesistant like 'hmm, did i remember how to do this? Sh*t hope this is right."
The edge slices are only icing!! Nah, too small.
literally a piece of cake.
People that got the end pieces would be so mad
I wonder how she became a chef... Use some conscience lady 😂😂😂😂 if you serve someone such a small peice of cake.... That would be your last cake cutting ceremony 😂😂😂
You need a square cake.
Who would want to make such small piece waste of energy
Thank you very much, good luck. Warm regards
Wow
What is this? Pieces of cake for ants?
How about just buy a bigger cake
in that case, just buy two or three more cakes
I would be so mad if someone gave a small slice like that. I would tell them to just keep it. That's nothing but a teaser 😔
I would never cut that cake that way.
What a rip off! Give people a real piece
Okay take your cake inside your locker
Damn just get box cake
And that plated slice was probably $20 :/
Im not going to that party if u serve that tiny piece
i cut my cat and she is peeing raspberry lol
Also why is she not cake
Sorry, ...but that looked like an ugly mess !!! I would rather make 2 cakes and cut them nicely and have enough than to serve it looking like that ! But, the cake was really pretty that you made !
