@@SuperEdge67 Oasis's songs have aged much better than most popular music from a great decade. Noel wrote great songs and while he may not have been a flashy technical player -- he dialed in killer tones with his Epiphone. For my money, it's tough to beat his tone on "What's the Story... (Morning Glory)".
Great musician? Before the pandemic he stopped singing Wonderwall mid song completely quit and then after that complained of how little money he was getting from the tour compared to the Smashing Pumpkins.... 😒

The whole original lineup (noel, liam, bonehead, guigs, mccarroll) were 1st generation english from Ireland, this is well documented. So yes they are english but they all have irish roots and were vocal about it.

I love that Noel talks about that detail quite a lot, I love details, also that He always plays an E Chord when testing a Guitar, I remember my first Steel/Western Guitar playing an E Chord and also thought "ok, buy it". Anyway one of my favourite Chords.
But there is rarely a chance to get that guitar, very disapointing. Noel's acoustic Sessions with Gem like "Sitting here in Silence" and live in Paris 2006 are just fantastic, I try to play a lot of that songs like Talk Tonight or Slide Away, which is such a powerfull Song, Noel is an Incredible Songwriter, Hats off to the Man
It'd be great to do the same kind of interview with Richard Ashcroft and his Gibson Super Jumbo acoustic guitar! He's written a plethora of awesome songs with it!

The best acoustics. They have such a beautiful tone to them. I have an Epiphone EJ-200, but this Gibson J-150 looks gorgeous. The perfect acoustics for songwriting and gigging.

I got myself a Gibson... g-45 studio ( the one in the clip was “a bit” over my budget) and it also sounds amazing... there’s something about Gibson acoustics that no other brand has (well I know you can say the same about Martins and other premium brands but I have a Gibson so I’m obviously going to say that 😆) I love it
Carbon fibre for the win mate, mine can survive being dug 6 feet under rain, full tension tuned EADGBE for 70 years i can dig it out then and it still sound like the same day i bought it for, id love to see your $4,000 acoustic mustachio'd guitar do that for a change, and the carbon fibre are cheaper? I have had the Gibson J 150 as my main acoustic guitar for many years. Mine is a 1999 model made in Bozeman, Montana. It is excellent for recording and in concert. I can't say anything about the Noel G model but he said it sounds just like his J150.

Just so you know, it was a Takamine on Wonderwall. It was in the Monmouth Museum. There was also a story I heard where Liam smashed what he thought one of Noel's acoustics, but belonged to the engineer. So Noel gave him the Takamine.
I can't play and have no technical knowledge about guitars, but that thing is beautiful.

The J200 is the most iconic acoustic guitar ever made for me. John Lennon, Bob Dylan, Noelly G, Elvis Presley, The Everley Brothers, the list goes on. And yes I know Noel's was a J150 😅.

I have a similar Epiphone version of this guitar, with a few minor differences such as it's colour, it's cutaway and that it's left handed. But it's a beautiful guitar and sounds amazing to play!
My brother has an Epiphone version without the cutaway. It's a nice guitar. It sounded like shit 20 years ago when bought new but over the years its got better and better. It sounds fkn' fantastic now. They definitely improve with age.

they used to have an exact replica of this model called Epiphone ej200/N ....they discontinued it back in 2012....

Yeah but nothing from the 1930s sounds as crisp as a Taylor Presentation Series (nothing else today does, either).
