The Gibson J-185 has enjoyed great popularity since 1951. The Gibson 1952 J-185 Vintage Sunburst is manufactured in Montana's Custom Shop. A lot of handwork and attention to detail create a very light and equally resonant instrument. The Small Jumbo body is very comfortable and nestles comfortably in your lap thanks to its tailored shape. A top made of thermally aged Sitka spruce and back and sides made of flamed maple produce an incomparable sound. Her voice is balanced, very responsive, wooden, with powerfully defined bass and strong and clear trebles. As an all-rounder, it is suitable for almost every playing style and has great dynamics and outstanding projection. The subtle V-shaped neck profile is very comfortable to hold. A short 24.75" scale length also makes it easy to play. The beautiful inlay work and the thin, aged-looking finish round off the vintage charm of this exceptionally good guitar!
