studied at the Mar Thoma Seminary Kottayam three years and graduated in 1988, about few days before ordination some guys including the then Principal stabbed me from the back, and I said goodbye to it. I never wanted to fight with anybody in the name of God and ministry, so I left silently....now I hear all this ..But it seems nobody on the other side....I know personally Joseph Johnny even before he going to Seminary. He is a very reasonable guy
This is sad. How come Diocese is not paying your salary which the church is supposed to remit to Diocese? Isn't this the responsibility of each Bishop of that particular Diocese for smooth running of this organization?
Totally agree...it is the responsibility of the Diocese to see that Achens get their salaries if the parishes cannot generate it..Is this what Christianity is all about?
Achen is having the right to request for his salary.....It was a personal message to the diocesan secretary, but it is his fault that leaking out the confidentiality of the conversation, instead of finding the solution and creating an embracement to the parish.
Sir, try to learn how much money he earned from the beharin parish with in 2 years around 32 lakhs. (his salary is 1.5 lakhs +allowences in each month ). His wife is an aided school teacher. She has 20 years of service. He has 3 flats and one acre coconut land at Alway. His parents are pentioners. 2 months salary pending is not a crime. Beharin church faced the difficulty of paying the salary because of the lock down in that country.

Those who are putting negative comments about the Mar Thoma Church may not be Marthomites as they do not know our procedures and practices. Priests salaries are normally given by the local parishes, barring some exceptions. The Church authorities should investigate urgently why Bahrain Church is not giving salary to their Vicar and take necessary steps to rectify the situation.
You come to Malaysia and see for yourself the mess they had created in the Malaysian zone. 10 years accounts cannot be vied by members who contributed towards it and is this transparency and accountability taking our accounts and asking it at the Synod. Very bad practice the church leaders are following and this shows they have no integrity. If 121 is in Malaysia we will also bring out this issues. The real elite philanthropists members may not be there in this parish too.Heard the Trustee too passed away..This is the basic admn problem. Can an achen live without fulfilling his basic needs? Parish is responsible for the salary of a parish priest and all other employees at the parish. The parish members are responsible for this. Definitely the church members in the whole world are ready to support , they do it. It cannot be a true story , but if it is true an act of negligence from the authorities are very serious.
This theory works only if the parishners have the capacity and willingness to pay. No job, no savings among the parishnors then the priests will not get salary.

The other side of the coin is, the less the children the better to survive tough situations for the whole family. Here he has two chronic sick children + a 3rd also which he is predicting to be sick in future. It's hell for the children also.

Totally agree...it is the responsibility of the Diocese to see that Achens get their salaries if the parishes cannot generate it..Is this what Christianity is all about?
Achen is having the right to request for his salary.....It was a personal message to the diocesan secretary, but it is his fault that leaking out the confidentiality of the conversation, instead of finding the solution and creating an embracement to the parish.

Sir, try to learn how much money he earned from the beharin parish with in 2 years around 32 lakhs. (his salary is 1.5 lakhs +allowences in each month ). His wife is an aided school teacher. She has 20 years of service. He has 3 flats and one acre coconut land at Alway. His parents are pentioners. 2 months salary pending is not a crime. Beharin church faced the difficulty of paying the salary because of the lock down in that country.

Those who are putting negative comments about the Mar Thoma Church may not be Marthomites as they do not know our procedures and practices. Priests salaries are normally given by the local parishes, barring some exceptions. The Church authorities should investigate urgently why Bahrain Church is not giving salary to their Vicar and take necessary steps to rectify the situation.
You come to Malaysia and see for yourself the mess they had created in the Malaysian zone.
10 years accounts cannot be vied by members who contributed towards it and is this transparency and accountability taking our accounts and asking it at the Synod. Very bad practice the church leaders are following and this shows they have no integrity.
If 121 is in Malaysia we will also bring out this issues.
Mar Thoma Church had gone downhill after 2008 when Joseph Mar Thoma took over.

Parish is responsible for the salary of a parish priest and all other employees at the parish. The parish members are responsible for this.
Definitely the church members in the whole world are ready to support , they do it.
