Yes... now is $900,000 for 5 years. Starting on 2024. Yup, only 50% increase now. 🤷🏻🤦🏻
Looks like we both caught a break. They said on August 15 that my contract from last November will still hold and I can upgrade EEA for the originally agreed price.
Ah yes, I also got that notification. I did think of putting out a video about it but then I realized, it is only relevant for existing EEA members, who should already be getting the notification directly from Thailand Privilege. So I decided not to release a video about it as it seems redundant.

At least it shows that (after the usual government floundering about) Thailand will adhere to their commitments. So I found it to be reassuring on ore than just one level.

I understand this video you made is now 3 weeks old, your entitled to extend your current 5 years elite visa to 20 years in total i.e. another 15 years by paying the difference of Thai Baht 400000/- as originally reported you will need to get it done I believe 6 months before your 5 year term for the Visa expires. The company changed their mind about existing 5 years visa holders and have given them the original option to extend their stay as it could potentially lead to cases being filed.
Yes, they sent a follow-up email to existing EEA members regarding this change. I decided not to make a video about it, thinking it would be redundant since existing members should have been emailed that info. But thanks for trying to reach out to me! ❤️
With the recent changes and the forth and back TE lost credibility. Even i have my EEA just half a year i applied for the ESE to be on the safe side. You do not know what they will do in the future.
@m.s.7711, hi there. I was also disappointed when Thailand Privilege made the announcement about the discontinuation of upgrades for existing EEA members. However, since they retracted that decision in their attempt to keep members satisfied, I took that as a sign that although it is in their fine print that they can make amendments, they still do consider member satisfaction, which is very important. So, I'm happy once again with their services.
As members, we must always express our dissatisfaction. Companies, in general, make changes to their services and if not enough people make a complaint, that's when they usually get away with things.
Just to expand on this, I've recently tried out an AI Voice subscription service but was dissatisfied and wanted to get a full refund. At first, they wanted to deduct 1 month from the annual subscription I paid for to cover the 12 days I used their platform to TEST their premium features. But I complained this was unfair and explained that I only paid for the subscription upfront because their premium features cannot be tested with a trial account. They eventually issued a full refund. 😁 I must admit I kind of mentioned that my experience could be an interesting topic for a UA-cam Video. 😬🤪
So, it is often our benefit to file a complaint and not shrug it off, as long as it is still within reason, of course. 😉
I wanted to buy Elite Visa when I turn 60 which are stll some years ti come. Now I dont know if I still will buy one or stay with retirement visa. We will see what the new programm will feature.
